Started with Dark Crusader paladin build with Bloody Glory, Pieta's Sword, and Righteous Pulverizer with the Exacter Catalyst and started a new Blackfeather Ranger archer character recently and am just killed Swamp Thing knight last night.
Yesterday i finished this game. Put points only to 3 stats- END 22, VIT 40, the rest into Radiance (I had 60 something in the end). No need for shield, two hand sword and dodging works fine. Pieta sword +5, Dunmire quest catalyst +10, medium armor that looks best (stats dont matter). Spells: Radiant flare- good early game, then get better version (Piercing light), and then replace with beam of light (aka melting laser). Radiant weapon- awesome tier, useful all game long Aura of tenacity- awesome spell, useful always (more in lategame where you have big mana pool and ring that replenishes mana) Blessed reflections (aka Pieta Valkyries)- this hits hard, awesome spell for open areas Consecration- good for bosses in small areas, but its a late game spell so sad panda. Orius judgment- another lategame stuff, good spell, cast and forget Something that heals- there is normal heal, aoe heal, seal that heals over time and aura, all are good. Pick something. Aura heals best, but I cant say if I have armor aura or health aura equipped, so I use seal of healing and armor aura. At endgame you can remove healing spell, as you have many estus flasks so no need for it. Amulets: Empyrean, Triptych, Hysteria all are good, generally anything that increases radiance and/or spell dmg Rings: Blue one that regenerates mana, you can have armor aura almost at all times (when i think about it, there is a rune that increases mana regen, put it on shield and on your back), Barrage root and Puissance root for stronger spells, Orian sorcerer's for holy dmg, also green ring that increases stamina regen is super useful all game long.
@@azzieus I wasnt using ranged weapons, but ranged enemies are annoying indeed. You can use spell to snipe, or block/dodge and run to them. If you want to use better shields or ranged weapons then few points in str/agi will not hurt your build, and always you can buy item for 8k vigor to respec later.
@@iammagic15 Sorry I cant remember exactly, as I played it long ago, but for most of game I used sword you get from Pieta fight (she is the first boss). I tried other weapons too, but always came back to this sword.
to add to this, if you have 3 mana regen runes on a shield plus the mana regen ring you can activate the radiant hp regen buff and the defense buff, which will never stop because your mana never runs out. plus the weapon buff. basically you cant die
@@zackeryh250 i played co-op with friend, he gave me his mana regen rune because he played pure STR build so he does not need mana regen. So i have 2. Dont have more friends playing LOTF so i need to get thrid rune myself in new NG+ playthrough :)
I prefer using the orian sorcerer ring instead of the stamina ring. I never really feel left wanting for stamina but the extra damage output of the orian ring is great.
I just finished two play throughs both with strength, was excited to try radiant build because it seemed fun and it’s weak as hell even early game. Some bosses are completely immune to it not to mention pieta’s sword does minimal damage. Unless it’s not a viable build anymore
For uber damage I would do the following changes. Put 2 more Orimons on the sword, put 3 of those on your shield. The catalyst can be swapped out for the holy agony which drops from the spikey head dudes. Only C scaling but the base buff is higher than any other catalyst I have seen. Easily doing 700+ damage with 45 radiance against late game enemies.
Does anyone know why i can't equip the spell "Glowing Weapon"? In the description part, its written that i have the necessary Radiance, but it appears in red "Glowing".
How do you have 3 rune slots for +5 on Pieta weapon? Also yours says 100 radiance and mines only 70. I have Pietas sword at +7 with my radiance attribute at level 60. Wonder what im doing wrong?
Im running a blood paladin build (STR/Radiance) cosplaying as The Pentinent one from Blasphemous.. rolling with the Bloody Glory +10 with pure blade shield or pietas sword in the off hand.. use buff spells radiance or laceration blood buff.. 💪

I finally got the bowl, so I thought I could get the radiance sword. Turns out I need 40 scourges for that and I got 27. Pretty sure I got all up to this point. Had this changed since launch?
Too bad they nerfed a lot of weapons and made bosses harder, since people complained about it. If you want a hard game play Dark Souls, don’t ruin Lords of the Fallen-mediocre players like myself need all the help we can get.
Tbf the Game is balanced rn. For example, pieta's sword can 2shot almost any enemy til the first beacon of adyr, if u upgrade it u are going to be doing 1000 of damage + holy enchanment, and My friend thats A LOT of damage for a sword u can get from the first boss.
Get better and enjoy the challenge. Don’t be mad that the entire genre is based around challenging gameplay. Play God of War if you want easy melee game.
I run a similar paladin build except I dual wield 2 Pieta sword. When I cast radiant weapon every other attack triggers smite for that massive dmg burst
I'm incredibly confused here on the runes. Are these runes the best pick? What does the first rune do, for me it doesn't raise any attack, holy attack, and not even the scailing itself as it goes from -A to -A
Not really, am a dark crusader on NG1 & thought this is weak as fuck & changed my attributes, can confirm radiance top level is honestly the best so far
@@ColdBwoyy was around 500 damage lvl10 using 2, now is around 280, almost the half, this with 60 radiance, build is 100% gone, I change for another sword, idk the name now 30str 30radiance I'm with almost 1k damage two handed
Thanks you reminded me that my pieta's is +0 I was literally thinking this game was ridiculously difficult and I am at mid to late game with a +0 weapon rofl. For some reason I thought like in dark souls it would be made evident how to upgrade "special boss weapons:"
@@ColdBwoyy not sure exactly but I know at its base level it has a higher base sorcery power plus the scaling bonus. Now, I don’t know if it stays better if you level both up to max, i’d have to look it up but it’s a great starting catalyst at least
I'm going through radiance build in my first run. And since my stats are pretty high STR-20 AGI-20 RES-20 VIT-40 RAD-40 INF-8 (at first i was thinking in use the blood glory weapon, but... it's not worth, too heavy and pieta's sword makes more my style), if I'm going through a 2nd run, I'll raise my inferno stats. It seems to me very OP as Radiance build. It would be nice to use both inferno/radiance spells with a rad inf catalyst and umbral build for me looks not that efficient. If you have an umbral build to share and change my mind i'll apreciate a lot. Thanks for the content
What why? It's pure holy damage, anything that resists it makes you have a hard time. Not everything needs a nerf, especially in this game where it seems burst damage is practically non existent
@@TimothyGod people are just parroting the content creators. Its a good weapon, but being a short sword means it has zero stagger and anything bigger than one of those umbral zombies will poise right through it and eat your face. I fought it some times in pvp and it seems kinda underwhelming, since the grand swords just hyperarmor through the hit and launch them.
@@MetalHev exactly, it's good cause the moveset is not bad, but paired it doesn't do much cause I don't actually think dual moveset are that good unless they are small and/or fast

How do you get more than 1 mana regen rune? I only got the 1 and the ring.

I have two of the oriomons rune and it doesn't seem to do anything.
My scaling goes from -A to -A with a green increase color on it.

@@LukahnTheMan The UI is bad. Go kill a fodder enemy and then equip the ruins. Kill the same fodder enemy and you should see a difference in numbers.

I only have one rune slot on my Pieta sword (+10) and you have three.

No, you get more slots by getting rune tablets throughout the game. There’s 3… one for each slot

there is a way better catalyst then wylmars, you must complete Dunmire quest line for the catalyst but its worth it.

The starting class is really that important? Im kinda midway game and dont feel starting over. But playing STRE build and its kinda boring.

Farm the spiky bucket head dudes in pilgrims perch, they drop a catalyst, Agony’s light that is better than wilmarcs

Pietas sword is absolutely broken in pvp when duel wielded. Its definitely getting nerfed

LIES! You don't get the Sword of Pieta early game. You have to buy it with 40 Umbral Scourings which is not going to be early game.
