Robert Plant was 59, Jimmy Page was 63, John Paul Jones was 61. The original drummer, John Bonham, died in 1980 and Led Zeppelin disbanded two months after his death. The drummer here is his son Jason. It had been almost 30 years since Led Zeppelin played a full-length concert together (Plant and Page had played together on and off over the years). This was a one-time reunion, the show was a tribute concert in honor of the band’s longtime friend, well-respected music business executive Ahmet Ertegun. Ertegun signed the band to Atlantic Records and turned them into superstars.
@@TbirdhaynesIn 1994 for an MTV Unplugged reunion, Page and Plant released a platinum-selling live album, No Quarter. Following that album's success, they embarked on a world tour featuring a full orchestra. Walking into Clarksdale was released in April of 1998 and they disbanded at the end of 1998 after a second world tour.
Robert Plant was the main lyricist for Zep. I’ve heard both Plant and Jimmy Page say that Kashmir is their favorite Zep song. As far as I am concerned Robert Plant is the greatest rock singer and Led Zeppelin is the greatest rock band of all time! You are absolutely right! They are ALL legends! ✌️❤️🤘
This song is about a trip Plant & Page took, driving through the desert on their way to a music festival in Morocco. A two lane road that seemed endless for hours, seeing the beauty of what is like a wasted land. Plant wrote the lyrics, Page & Bonham worked on the instrumental, & Jones arranged it. It took about 2 years to get it the way they wanted, & of course it’s a masterpiece, the song the band is most proud of. P Diddy used the music for his I guess Godzilla song, Jimmy Page played guitar for him, I know in some live show. I’m sure Diddy paid a pretty penny to use it, they are very protective of their music. From the beginning they had total control over all their music, including when to tour etc.which was unheard of at the time. Page who founded the band, produced mixed & worked closely with all the engineers, creating all their albums. Thank you for your reaction, but yes checkout Knebworth (1979) Kashmir.
Nice reaction. Little tidbit, on this song the rhythm is playing in 2/4 time and melody is playing in 3/4 time. That means they are only in sync every 11 beats. Makes the whole thing sound like it's gonna fall apart. Drummer is Jason Bonham, if you ever get a chance to see the Jason Bonham LZ Review do your self a favor and don't miss that one. Dad would be proud I'm sure.
I would never fault you for not knowing Led Zeppelin. The great thing is that you have now discovered their greatness! Keep going. I raised my kids on them. The best band to ever grace the stage!
Think Marvel , they have used a lot of Zeppelin especially backing Thor. Extroidinary there putting out this performance, what 45 ish years after the original. This band in the 70 s just blew us out of the water. Watch early performances or the albums. Holy shit !
There will NEVER BE ANOTHER LED ZEPPELIN!!! ....and, EVEN at their ages, in this performance: STELLAR PERFORMANCE!!! SO WISH I could've SEEN THIS PERFORMANCE, in total!!! One of the tightest, most TALENTED GROUPS of ALL TIME, in my book!! There are NO BAD LED ZEPPELIN SONGS!!! ENJOY, CLIFF!!!
This is my fav song by Led Zeppelin! I absolutely loved this concert version from "Celebration Day Tour". I love Robert Plant, and Jimmy Page is my all time fav guitarist and John Paul Jones and Jason Bonham, John Bonham's son did such a fabulous job!! In my mind, this song cannot be topped, for me it is the absolutely best song ever created. Thanks for another great reaction video of my fav band!!
YAY YAY & YAY **MyBelovedOtherWorldlyMagicalGeniusLedZeppelin** F YEA!!! My MOST **Cherished** MOST **LUVD** Band EVER!!! Please MORE!!! suggestion "How Many More Times" "Danmarks Radio 1969" **LuvLuvLuv THIS Reaction**
Every Led Zeppelin song is worth listening to, they are so varied. I really recommend listening to the studio version first though. I think you can appreciate the live performances differently after.
The lyrics are epic! Listen to it again and pull up the lyrics, you won't be sorry. There's another live version of this from when they were younger, try that one!
20 million request for tickets...only 20 thousand available!! There was a lottery to see who would get tickets, they are truly the definition of legends❤ Please watch Led Zeppelin from the 70's. Since Ive Been Lovin' You from 1973 live at Madison Sqare Garden is a great way to start!
Who Wants To Live Forever is off the movie Highlander another song to listen to by AC DC is Who Made Who I believe its on the Maximum Overdrive movie sound track
There really can not be a favorite Led Zeppelin song, but this one ranks in the Top 5, and you can put that in the bank~! It just depends on what mood you're in. I toss it back and forth between my #1 and #3, which is I think universally accepted. They ended their first encore with it no?
Only 20k tickets were sold for the Celebration Day event. Jason Bonham, stepping in on drums for his dad, John, aka Bonzo, RIP. Stairway is considered their masterpiece but this is sublime. Thx Cliff! 🔥✌🏽
PLEASE LISTEN TO YES!! My favorite band. Starship Trooper, Heart of the Sunrise, Perpetual Change, or the ever so popular Roundabout! They are the most talented band ever.😎☮️❤️🎼
Check out this live video which shows Led Zeppelin at the height of their career. Led Zeppelin -"Trampled Underfoot" ruclips.net/video/HGFITl5mFvs/видео.htmlsi=TnPP2M5rv4v7DQRs 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
If there was ever a band whose entire catalogue needs to be experienced, it is Led Zeppelin. Many other reactors have done the deep dive, every song off every album starting from the beginning. Few have found a bad song in the entire catalogue.
RONNIE JAMES DIO. SONGS LAST IN LINE, GATES OF BABYLON, RAINBOW IN THE DARK, MOB RULES, HEAVEN AND HELL, HOLY DIVER... JUDAS PRIEST SONGS HALLS OF VALHALLA, PAIN KILLER, TOUCH OF EVIL, ELECTRIC EYE
Beth Hart did a really good tribute album for led Zeppelin. It's worth checking out. Also in the process check out immortal by Beth Hart. The live version is better, but it's a little extra.
You need to get 6our old man / dad in when playing rock classics Show him you've grown up and understand what he was saying about he's era I'm sure he'd love it even if video link That's if he's still alive If I remember right their still going and on tour Cheers mate 🦘🇦🇺👍
20 million tickets were requested for this show-that says it all.
I didn't get one 😢

Page & Plant released an album (WALKING INTO CLARKSDALE) that they toured together for. I saw them in Kansas City.

John Bonham, the original drummer passed away. That is his son Jason Bonham on drums. The band reunited after decades to play this concert. Icons.

There are rock-bands, there are rock-stars... and then there are rock-legends like Led Zeppelin. GOAT.
Great reaction! I suggest When The Levee Breaks of their 4th studio album. Really think you will thoroughly enjoy it!
Quite possibly the greatest rock ‘n’ roll song ever written and recorded
Since I've Been Loving You from Madison Square Garden 1973....great example of rock gods at the peak....
Jason does such an incredible job on the drums, he’s a star in his own right & would be one without his name! They are superb!
I highly recommend listening to this live at Knebworth (1979).
My favourite Led Zeppelin song
Thanks for more Led Zeppelin ❤ the first album by Led Zeppelin is the greatest debut album ever 😮😮😮😮❤

Puff Daddy sampled this for Come With Me which was in Godzilla.
Not strictly a sample. Jimmy Page insisted on playing the riff when Puff Daddy recorded Come With Me.
Since I've been loving you live MSG performance please 🙏 Great reaction and Peace out Cliff ☮️ ✌️ 🙏

Not only a live but a one off.
One of my favorites!
Treat yourself to this same song live in Knebworth 1979. You will be amazed!
Jimmy Page worked with PDiddy on the song "come with me" from Godzilla, that's where you hear the riff from Kashmir.
You might have heard this song in the movie Fast Times at Ridgemont High.
Jimmy Page collab'd with Diddy and revised it for Godzilla. I actually figure skated back then and I skated to this in outr spring show.
Black Sabbath - Paranoid next please!
JIMMY PAGE has been and ALWAYS WILL BE THE COOLEST MAN ON THE PLANET
RONNIE JAMES DIO. SONGS LAST IN LINE, GATES OF BABYLON, RAINBOW IN THE DARK, MOB RULES, HEAVEN AND HELL, HOLY DIVER...
