I am really enjoying watching your reaction to Led Zeppelin 2 album because it’s exactly the same reaction I had when I listened to it 55 years ago! I was lucky enough to have seen them live in 1972 shortly after their 4th album was released! Take care, greetings from Australia 🇦🇺
Man I love seeing someone hearing Zep for the first time and loving it. It's been 40 years since my first good times bad times listening to them. Still my all time fav. They were all 4 among the best at what they did individually and then the whole was so elevated from the sum of the parts. Enjoyed the video with your energy and vibe a ton - keep at it!
I'm glad you like them...This is their second album.... Their first one is even better... but that is just a personal preference. It's like choosing between a Lamborghini or a Maserati. all the albums are great. and they have many Thanks
Very satisfying reaction. Most Zeppelin "newbies" are gobsmacked like you were. Yeah, they really ARE that fuckin good! You've gone down the rabbit hole that's led zeps music, ive been a huge fan of theirs since the very early 70s. Each album gets better. Still is. You don't get bands like them anymore. Enjoy the journey. Love ur reaction.
I had the privilege of seeing Led Zeppelin in concert shortly before their second album was released. So, we were treated to a feast of songs from both albums. You probably won't be surprised to learn that I remember the concert like it was yesterday, although it was October 19, 1969. (Of COURSE, I remember the exact date!) By today's standards for such a band, the venue was "microscopic"... no assigned seats, in fact, no seats at all...we sat on a hardwood floor. I believe the ticket price was $6, but it may have been $7, since Santana was one of the opening bands. (Yes, that's "bands", plural.) Unforgettable, and your eloquent reaction in this video is VERY appropriate. Great job! (I'm subscribing.)
Love people experiencing LZ. Their early albums are really heavy on early American blues. Such a great band. One of the best drummers besides Neil Pert form Rush (another huge rabbit hole of amazing music for you to explore). Every one of LZ albums is very worthy of your listen. Thanks for the great reaction.
Great reaction man. Fiery reaction to a fiery album. The only suggestion I would give you when going down the Zeppelin rabbit-hole is to listen to albums in their order and listen to the album cover of a song first before listening to their live version. Only then will you get a full appreciation of how amazing they were on stage. Particularly with Stairway To Heaven, as amazing as the guitar solo is live, the album version is perfect.
I saw LED ZEPPELIN🐐🔥 in 1970, my senior year in high school. My first concert and first acid trip!🤪 It was a fantastic time to be young, wild, and a little bit crazy!💯🤗❤️✌️
As others have said before me, you're favorite Zeppelin album (or song) is the one you're listening to at the moment. BTW, recommend listening to the albums in order. You'll get a really good feel for how they evolved throughout their career. Glad you loved the album, always enjoy seeing the younger generations enjoying the stuff I grew up with. : )
It might be their best but others would go for #IV or Physical Graffiti but it is splitting hairs with their great albums, needless to say, as it is one of their best and one of Rock's Best Albums. Their first 2 albums are part of the template for all heavy music that came after. Led Zeppelin forever! Enjoy. 🔥🎵🎸🎤🎸🎹🎶🔥
Love Zep! I was a teenager in the 70s. This album is great but.. they all are! Every fan has that 1 fav, Zep III for me, but all of their LPs kick azz. Go down the Zep rabbit hole ❤
This was the very first Zeppelin album I ever heard. I checked it out from the public library back in 1979. Blew my mind! There was no turning back. It's definitely my favorite album when I'm listening to it!
During the late 1940s and 1950s, after world war2, England was still under embargo, and rationing foods for the lower classes. Music was being smuggled into the country from the US and it was all old Blues artists like Blind Lemon Jefferson, Muddy Waters, Lightnin Hopkins, and the 3 Kings (BB, Freddie, and Albert). Also Little Richard, Roy Orbison and Elvis records also made it there. This created a huge boom of British artists playing their take on American blues music. The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Animals, Kinks, Cream and Led Zeppelin all twisted the blues to their tastes and styles making the "British invasion" just another country's reflection of American folk music. Pink Floyd and the Who also "Rockified" blues music as well. Guitar rock as we know it derived from English acts doing their best Chuck Berry impersonations.
Moby Dick live at Royal Albert Hall, is a 15 minute drum solo, by the greatest drummer ever John (Bonzo) Bonham. He plays the drums with his hands too, you’d love it.
UK artists in the 1960s reintroduced American audiences to music based in the old Delta and Chicago Blues of the early-20th Century. Led Zepplin, Cream with Eric Clapton (a major student of the blues), to a lesser degree the Stones, all had an appreciation that went back beyond Elvis, Chuck Berry, Little Richard and Motown (who were big influences on the Beatles). Amazing synergy. Great to see you enjoying it for the first time. In his later years, Robert Plant returned to that general era, recording award winning folk and bluegrass albums. Gotta love how these guys had such an appreciation for Blues
On "Bring It On Home", the Sonny Boy Williamson tribute, the blues intro is Plant on harmonica and vocal attempting his best Sonny Boy impersonation. Then it goes into Zeppelin rock out mode and finishes with the Sonny Boy tribute.
Moby Dick is John Bonham (Bonzo) drum solo. It starts with him playing his whole drum set with his BARE HANDS!! Then with his drum sticks the second half. Amazing drummer!!
Zeppelin was truly a gift from God. They've been my favorite band since the early 70's. To me, there's Led Zeppelin, and then there's all the rest. No other band can come close to the GOAT!
Did u ever see the Stones up close on a hot night? I did, in ‘66,69,72 and every tour since then until Charlie passed. Zep hard as a rock but the Stones unlike Zep also have the roll.
The reason so many great bands came from England was that while record companies and radio stations in the USA were largely ignoring the emerging blues and rhythm & blues music of the black men and women( the inventors of rock & roll) in the 50's, the youth in england couldn't get enough, and then they did their interpretation of what they were hearing. Many of Zeppelin's first couple of albums were american blues songs that they rocked up.
Here’s the run down. Robert Plant lead singer harmonica & lyricist * Jimmy Page lead guitarist band founder producer editing & worked with the engineers also lyricist & music composer * John Paul Jones (JPJ) bass guitar keyboards mandolin multi instrumental arranger etc * John (Bonzo) Bonham greatest drummer every. Each are The GOATS of their crafts, & together The GODS Of MUSIC! Rock Blues Funk Folk Reggae Prog etc. Everything they do is absolutely great, you might find a couple songs your not crazy about, but you won’t hate them. It’s harder picking your favorites, highly recommend checking out Led Zeppelin I & III IV & the other albums. A song or two at a time, or the whole album again, us long time fans are here for the ride. The band play from August 19,1968 first rehearsal, until sadly September 25,1980 when the greatest drummer passed away. The other 3 are still alive, singer Robert Plant still tours today, he had turned 20 the day after Led Zeppelin’s first rehearsal. Their first two albums were released in January 12,1969, & October (1969). Thank you for your reaction, much more PLEASE!
Congratulations! You're officially a Led Head now... I CAN'T WAIT until you give Black Sabbath the same treatment and Led Zeppelin's my favorite band of all time.
@@SirLarnce-a-lot not on LZII, the first album yes. He also bowed his acoustic guitar, triple tracked, for the intro on In The Light, from Physical Graffiti.
They left an incredible catalogue. I think they're the most sampled band ever. They used to come to town and we'd go see em. The last time they played for 3 1/2 hours.
Grew up with Led Zeppelin--our bishop even mentioned him in our confirmation Mass and we all cheered. The UK produced such great musicians back in the day because they all had mandatory music in their schools.
My first 8-track, before cassettes, was this masterpiece. I wore it out and my second 8-track was this again. They were heavily influenced by the blues and a bunch of their songs are remakes of them. Google LED Zeppelin blues song remakes and listen to the originals. 👍
They're from England, where all the great bands are from (most of them anyway). You weren't ready for those rave ups, lol. Another Led Zeppelin song you would "feel" is "The Rain Song."
For me, LZ II and IV are the feel-good albums for every mood, including cleaning, jogging, driving in a traffic jam... II was somehow unique at the time and my first LZ album. Looking back, I really had to conquer LZ I, but over the years I find it brilliant in its own way (2 prog songs, 3 blues songs, 2 60s pop-rock songs, ...), but I have to hear it fully consciously in order to understand it to be able to enjoy. I would recommend that you also include it in your program because I would be interested to see what you discover. LZ III is considered the most acoustic; you have to hear it loudly and consciously to get the nuances, especially acoustic and electric guitar; It's worth seeing JP at its "picturesque" peak. All 4 albums belong in class S for me (I couldn't and don't want to classify them like 4 children). HOTH and ITTOD belong in class A; I don't like PG and Presence as overall albums; that would be a different topic. Keep having fun discovering music👍✌!!!
Giving thanks where it's due.. always, everyday.. The Father, Son and Holy Spirit lights the way.. stay on that righteous path and it will always work out for His purpose in Glory. Love Led Zep since 70's, love seeing new generations hear our music for the 1st time and discover the sounds and talents.
You should check out Moby Dick (Live at The Royal Albert Hall 1970) [Official Video]. It highlights the beating heart of Zeppelin, John 'Bonzo' Bonham.
I’ve always loved this album!! Par excellence!😎I was fortunate to see Led Zepplin in 1977 ! ❤you must see Bonzo(drummer) preform this! There is video of him playing the Moby Dick solo! Love Plants harmonica solo on Bring it On Home!!! Plant is really a Bluesman.
I remember laying on the floor , in front of the console stereo, and listening to this album turn up moderately LOUD. (Only when the parents were gone) haha.😆
What’s great about watching this is I can actually remember the first time I ever heard this album when I was about 10 years old or so and pretty much feeling the same way.
Floyd and Nirvana are great. Led Zeppelin are other level. They are the 5th biggest selling music artist of all time, with only Michael Jackson at #4, Garth Brooks at #3, Elvis Presley at #2, and of course, The Beatles at #1 ahead of them. You need to start at their first album, "Led Zeppelin I" and go in chronological order until their final album, "CODA". Then, you should do the Beatles, and again, I would start with their first album "Please, Please Me" and go in chronological order until their final recorded album "Abbey Road". Just a suggestion.. Either way, I Subscribed! Peace
Nirvana from Seattle. Zep is from UK but the sounds are coming from deep in the Mississippi Delta and running up to Chicago Blues of the fifties and sixties. Their blues heroes were the black blues musicians that were appearing in tour in the UK where black musicians from America shared stages with white American musicians in front of mixed or mostly white crowds that weren’t allowed to mix in America in the fifties and sixties. Post WW2 Britain went heavy for American Rock and Roll and Blues and by the sixties, they were feeding their own interpretation of these beats back to America with their own British twist.
Instant like & subscirbe just for listening to the hole album! The T-shirt LZ would describe as "they are absolutel okay... but, you know, a little bit boring" with a little wink, what means they are one of these 4 cords boybands :D If you wanna please Robert, you have to be a decent person at first and then like " Greta Van Flee" if you're young.
Yep. now Beatles Rubber Soul. But Yes Zepp is my personal favorite pure Rock band, Blues, Country, Folk, Classical all in one album and this band did all. Oh yea can you hear the Grunge in the music also.
The "Nirvana" t-shirt is alright, since David Grohl was the biggest fan (but I think they all were) and got to play live with Jimmy Page and JPJ (Dave on drums, the Nirvana's drummer Taylor on vocals, Page on guitar and JPJ on bass)

My first 8-track, before cassettes, was this masterpiece. I wore it out and my second 8-track was this again. They were heavily influenced by the blues and a bunch of their songs are remakes of them. Google LED Zeppelin blues song remakes and listen to the originals. 👍
Yoo my favorite rock album
They're from England, where all the great bands are from (most of them anyway). You weren't ready for those rave ups, lol. Another Led Zeppelin song you would "feel" is "The Rain Song."
@@marymargaretmoore9034 literally, it’s all starting to add up.
Great review, you definitely got it!
Thanks!
You get there Greatness check out their debut album Led Zeppelin 1 one of the finest debut albums ever
Subbed, man. I see your joy.
Most righteous reaction! 😂❤
Check out Stairway to Heaven live from MSG in 73.. mind blowing ✌️
Heartbreaker.....Dance Bro! YOU DANCE BRO!
I felt yourvibe in 1969 ,the first album was really good but this was great and so was your reaction
NOW, just imagine you are 14 years old and hearing this for the first time!!😮😮❤
It was INCREDIBLE!!
I don't need to imagine that....I lived that!
Hahaha! I knew the Lenon Song would squeeze your Lemon!!! Pink Floyd my arse x
Saw em Atlanta 73
Rock n Roll was really the first multi-generational music!
Yeah itt Is! Peace!!!
Nirvana is from Seattle Washington.
