You are welcome, and I absolutely mean everything that I said. You are so generous to share your knowledge here on youtube, and I just THANK YOU for your time and effort in doing this. I took some jewelry/metals classes in college, and your videos are great refreshers for me, and your silliness reminds me of my teacher's silliness. She would always smell the rubber cement etc and then tell us that we didn't see it. She was awesome. So are you. Thanks again.
You're videos are SOOO HELPFUL! Some of your tips would never be found in books or taught in classes- like the liquid paper stopping solder from flowing. We used yellow ochre for that, but it was messy and inconvenient to use. I wish more people would make videos like yours. Most jewelry making videos on here are wire wrapping and beading, not acual hand fabrication, smithing, forming etc. Thank you, thank you.
I definitely credit you in large part for the good little jewellery business I have going on, so thank you thank you! I always return to your videos again and again
Nancy! Many years ago I did jewelry making and Loved your videos! I don't know if this will make it to you now, but I started to retrace my steps and found your videos again. I'm retired, as you probably are by now. I wish you would return to video and show basics and just chat. You are so fun to watch! I sure pray you are well, and your family too. Love you!❤
Well so much has been said singing you praises and they are right. Your videos are wonderful. I have taken classes and I always benefit from them, but having the videos to watch over again is marvelous. You tips are so practical and you make everything sound easy and fun. Take Care you are the best.
No Nancy, not bad girl. Bad wire... Cool idea wrapping a contrasting wire around the outside. Very cool square wire ideas. I did have a good time, too. And nobody got hurt... Thanks!
Great video Nancy. When I twist wire I clamp it into my bench vise and pull the wire tight and twist with the drill. Great combinations of twisted wire here.
Thank you Nancy for this. Great ideas, loads of stimulus and I would buy the book straight away, no problem. Love your work. All the best. Allan and Zina.
OH MY!!! I love you!! You sound exactly like me while describing tools. I use the word 'thingie' way to often and laugh when I do! Can't wait to check out more of your videos! Thank you!
Hi Nancy, am new to the wonders of Jewelry and loving your videos and web site. As a suggestion I would recommend that if people are looking for a drill - I would recommend a battery version, they tend to be of a lesser torque and allow for better control. In the UK the cost of an entry level battery drill is very similar to a power drill. Also, one other advantage, they are lighter and easier to carry around, so not as much destruction to your normal studio when moving around. Finally I also use a hand drill ($6 online) and a bench vice. You can elect to tighten the drill against the wire or as I do clamp a cup hook or eye hook in the drill and fasten the wire to the hook. Gradually working through your videos, so far they are all excellent!! Thank You Andy UK
I just made a 54 strand torque for Uni, I really really wish I'd known about the drill thing before I started! Really enjoying your channel, Thank you :)
Hi Nancy; Pearl Blay's mention brought me here. Although I've twisted and wrapped wire before some of your ideas are new to me. Thank you for the inspiration!
Hi Sara, Wow, you made me blush! Stop that! Thank you so much for the amazing comment, your words are appreciated. I do plan on publishing a book someday, and when I do I will definitely be announcing it on RUclips. Take care, Nancy
Thank you for the idea.It was really helpful specially like me who is just starting to make wire projects.Im having a hard time doing it with my hand now i know i can use a machine drill to do it.
im a newbie and i may have subscribed to your channel who knows lol but for 6 months Ive been watching all different vids on jewelery making and you really get to the point on some which is what i like and learning faster! i hope if you have some newer ones im not missing them... please let me know if you have time thanks again for sharing them :)
I'm new to jewelry making... lol at 33 🤣 late bloomer I guess! I absolutely LOVE your videos! It's not all serious and dry like other videos I've watched. Love your sense of humor and just being you! Thank you! It's refreshing! 💗👍
Hi Jen, Thank you! Yes, it's a lot less painful and MUCH easier to use the drill. Don't forget to wear goggles and leather gloves! Have fun. Take care, Nancy
Thank you so much Mary Jane! Wow, beautiful comment. I love teaching via the videos because, you end up with an entire library of information. Love RUclips (and of course, Google) - they have connected us all and made knowledge available to almost everyone. Thanks again for the fabulous comment, I do appreciate it! Take care. Nancy
Wow, thanks for the wonderful comment. Made me blush. I have a lot of information in my brain (some, completely useless) but, as you've no doubt seen, have a bit of a problem recalling it all. So glad my videos have helped. Take care and have fun. Nancy
These are amazing I love these designs! ☺ I am trying to learn how to make wire jewelry and it's difficult but video's like yours are so helpful! Thank you for sharing your amazing talent! Your channel is greatly appreciated! Blessings! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
LOVE your video! You’re hilarious snd VERY instructive! I’ve subscribed and im going to check out all your videos. Tell your son (producer) that its ok to chill and all’s good. Hello from Texas!!!
@Lavonneification Thanks Lavonne, I finally remembered the word. What got my poor, sad mind a spin was that they don't have the traditional look of a draw tong. Don't even know where they came from. The tool fairy? Thanks for the feedback and watching. Nancy
@ObscureCreations123 Thanks for the correct term. My other drawing tongs don't look anything like those so, there was no mental association between the two. Plus, I'm senile. Thanks again and thanks for watching. N
Thank you for an interesting video. My mind is racing - where is that old drill I've hardly used ... I also love to keep alive the old skills and techniques.
Hi nancy, thank you for this video. I was wondering if you could go a video about how to solder multi strand fact wire because I’m having a terrible time getting the ends to solder neatly. Thank you for your consideration. You are THE BEST TEACHER:)
I have been playing around with wire twisting for about 6 months and have all sorts of wire combos made. Do you know if you twist two 28 or 26 gauge wires together what gauge it's called afterwards? What about two 20g pieces, what gauge would they be afterwards? I also have a lot of wire groups made but don't know what to do with them now? Any suggestions?
Nancy, I love your videos. Would love to actually take a class from you but you are miles and miles away from me. I am curious about something...what the heck are with the letters on your fingernails? I kept trying to figure out whether you were spelling something!
Nancy, I've seen lots of videos on twisting wire but no 'clear' video on how to use that wire in Jewelry. I've done the twisting with 2 wires but then when I try to make a bracelet or ring, etc., I can't find a neat way to finish the ends. The 2 wires are always separated, I've tried some hammering, but the wires spread even more. Do you have any video on how to finish a piece of jewelry with the twisted wire? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks much.
I would imaging there are other options, but one way is to make a cuff like Kieu Pham Gray's Twinkle Twist bracelet. That uses cones at the ends, with Swarovski crystal briolettes glued in. The cones are soldered on using paste solder. kieuphamgray.com/index.php/classes I would imaging you could also solder the ends together to make a bangle or ring, although I would guess that lining up the ends would be tough, and make it hard to size the thing, at least until you figured out the exact lengths needed for the particular twist, and started smaller and hammered it up. You could also set a stone over the join to hide it if it doesn't line up, or wire wrap around it, and maybe solder the wrap on so it doesn't slide.
hello nancy , ty for the videos they are great, i was wondering if you could help me, lately i have been trying to make wire jewelry but everytime i twist , bend or do anything with the wire i always seem to scratch it or tarnish it and it ruins my piece everytime... please help me..... sherry
Thank goodness you use a drill. I was beginning to think that I'd discovered the Holy Grail of jump rings (basically if a drill can do the job, who am I to stand in its way lol!).
I loved this video! I am actually trying to teach myself wire wrapping but this is so pretty, and you are a "hoot" to watch. Thanks

I really enjoyed learning this - thx!

Hello Nancy,
What do you do to the ends? Would you solder the wires together before shaping the whole unit? Hope you are well! Thank you,
Danielle
hi if you hold the chuck while pressing the power button slow it'll tighten on its own
Great info!!where do u buy your metal clay?
Nice designs
Nancy, I love your videos. Would love to actually take a class from you but you are miles and miles away from me. I am curious about something...what the heck are with the letters on your fingernails? I kept trying to figure out whether you were spelling something!
Does the copper wire tarnish if used as jewelry?
Thank you for the food for thought ...
Can you talk about using the twisted wire for decoration, such as soldering it around a bezel. I've had problems with soldering twisted wire :-)
Nancy, Is it hard to bend after you have more then one wire together?
HI ITS NICE TO SEE YOU...
Thank you❤
Do you have a video that shows how to solder twisted wire around a bezel?

I've never done wire twisting, but what if you used coils (like springs) to finish the ends? Use E6000 glue to seal them on.
I would imaging there are other options, but one way is to make a cuff like Kieu Pham Gray's Twinkle Twist bracelet. That uses cones at the ends, with Swarovski crystal briolettes glued in. The cones are soldered on using paste solder. kieuphamgray.com/index.php/classes

Would like to see how you would end the fancy wire for bracelet making
Thanks Gayl01319. Appreciate the subscription and you taking the time to share your thoughts. Nancy
Nancy I think those are draw pliers. Thanks for sharing
