Having Lockstin as the Pokémon Professor makes me so happy for some reason, he seems like the perfect guy for the job in the Pokémon youtuber community.
If this Professor studys Types then Hoops should add what should be added to Canon since long ago by Gamefreak: Pokemon are obviously but never stated to be Caster, means, their bodys produce Infinity Energy which they can use. Attacks like 'Bite' are obviously not the Action 'Biting' like Humans and Animals would do it. It's a different thing. This should be Canon, but it isnt... But maybe this Game can include it? Would be great. I just hope some new Canon is added. Until now, Profesors Study Specialitys are always a big let down in the Main Games - they never reall add anything, they're mostly just Starter-Dispensers!!

This region makes me soo happy, I hope there can be a region like this. Everything is soo well designed, unique, and over all gives a really nice vibe. My team so far is Narwade, Qualeaf, and Frosky.
I love that you made a normal/poison and a grass/flying Pokémon rather than the ever-present grass/poison and flying/normal ones! Also the water starter is the best-don’t come for me

Zacian obviously-but the amount of normal/flying Pokémon compared to the three flying/grass Pokémon is super off. So I’m saying I’m glad he didn’t add onto that trend

This looks great and I like how nice the region looks so far. The starter pokemon are all cute and if this was a real game made by you I would have been having a hard time figuring out which starter I would get.

We can also make a GBA retendering of the music, characters, and map so we can have a a full fledged fan game with Fire Red's engine, not just another copy of it.

I'll nickname it, Erabor 8:29 I'll decide to train and connect with Erabor on Route 1 until I come across a Frosky and catch it with my 2nd pokeball. I'll name it Wolfos. 9:37 I arrive in Dewle City to restock on potions and Pokeballs 11:02 arrived on Route 2 I encounter a Bumblow and catch it bringing my team to three. Reaching lake Beartic I break for camp, letting out my pokemon out to play with one another as the first day of my journey comes to a close. ... ... EagleHeart saved the adventure!
Embit!! Ahhhh!!! I love this idea, and I couldn't help but swell in pride when you talked about Canada, since it's my home country! Thank you! If this was a game I would really love to buy it!!! Thank you for this first episode!!!
Thoughts: I really like the idea of the starting town being based in a more frigid location. Normally they are more temperate and the one exception has been the more tropical start for Alola, so Vikinu is a nice counterpoint to that tradition. I also really like the design of these player Trainers. Journey: I like the design of Shrubberoose best and how much it conceptually fits with the region, so I pick it for my starter. From the point I set out until this chapter ends, I make it a point to catch one of every new Pokémon for my Dex, but the ones I’m actively using as part of my team are my starter, Quilxin and Frosky. Frosky arguably becomes the star of my team. I catch a female one specifically and nickname her Dakota after my own husky IRL I used to have that passed away years ago. While the concept of my old dog living on through Frosky makes me a bit emotional it also makes me happy every time I send her out in battle, another chance spiritually for her to have fun in the snow. 🥰
Oh wow, this was even better than I was expecting! I love how we get to follow along in the comments and pick our own pokemon. Definitely going with Shrubberoose myself for a starter. Also - ah Bumblow! Cutest bug type ever, A+ on that one man.

I'm just gonna make a little log as I go :D I did this with Pokemon Tempest too Character: Unofficial name: J.J. Gender: Female Desc: Loves loyal Pokemon, doesn't find too much interest in filling up her pokedex, also likes Pokemon who don't trust right away because they give the greatest bond Team: None (yet) Box: None (yet) I talk to the professor and choose Shrubberoose as my starter! When I first go to route 1, I encounter a Quilxin! It may be really common, but it's also really cute! And of course, I just gotta catch it. All these Pokemon are just awesome and I can't help myself but also catch a Quaileaf. And oh my gosh. FROSKY? I love it. I'm catching it. I will keep it forever. It is in my heart. So far, I've caught every Pokemon I've seen. Pokedex is going up! Heh. I go into Dewle City, happy with the Pokemon I had just caught. I quickly heal up and head for route 2. And what can I say, I also catch a Bumblow. I maybe need to slow down on all this Pokemon catching, heh. After that and a little training, I head on to Lake Beartic
Game saved! Trainer: Vincent Playtime: 00:14 Party: Narwade, Lv. 8 Quilxin, Lv. 8 Quaileaf, Lv. 8 Bumblow, Lv. 7 Journal log #1: The adventure begins! I picked up my partner, Narwade, from the professor in Vikinu, and together we set out for Route 1. There, I caught Quilxin and Quaileaf, before quickly arriving in Dewle. Our party spent a bit of time exploring Route 2, where Bumblow joined the team as well! It's getting late, though... I'm planning on heading back to Dewle, restocking at the Poké Mart, and seeing if we can find a place to stay for the night, but if not, we can always camp out on Route 2 - either way, tomorrow we make for Lake Beartic! Everyone seems to be getting along perfectly well - we've got a great journey ahead, I just know it!
I'm massively late to the party but just had to leave a comment to say how fantastic this series is! It distils all of the charm of a classic Pokémon game and dials it up another notch, which is just so much fun. Everything is just wonderful - the art, the music and especially the Pokémon designs :)

I'm here on BirdKeeperToby's recommendation and I'm impressed with the production value right off the bat. As for my team so far, I'm taking Embit, Quilxin, and Bumblow.
When I first heard of this I really wasn’t sure what to expect but this was awesome man!! Congrats!! I’m starting Embit! While on route 1 I would try and pick up a Quaileaf really quickly, then continuing training in that area till I found and caught a Frosky! Stop and get potions and pokeballs in the first town before proceeding to route 2 where I would just train along the way till setting up camp at Lake Beartic!
Narwade named Cheese, quilxin named Wyrm, frosky named Candlestick, and Beeutiful the bumblow. Truly a beautiful journey. Magnificent. Majestic. My trusty partner Cheese has taken me far. I would trust Cheese with my life, and my lunch. The latter one was a mistake. XD This is awesome, good work!
I was so immersed in this I was tapping the screen to go “next” on the dialogue!! Love all your vids hoops, these ones are great! Wish more people did stuff like this, or you did more of them afterwards haha!

This is so cool! I love that we don't start in your typical grassy area and instead a beautiful snowy trail, like most of Canada. As for my starter, I would probably pick Shrubberoose.
I would definitely go with Embit. While i do usally choose water starters i just think his design is so creative. Id also probably catch a Quaileaf and Froskey on route 1 and also a Bumblo on route 2. You've done an amazing job, cant wait to see what happens.
Id also like to say that the Reigonal Form for Gengar (from the 8-bit intro) is on my team the second its catchable. At least thats what it looks like it might be new completely... but i want it.

The starter I pick is Narwade because Water is my second favorite Pokemon type and because I think narwhals are really cool 😊💙, along with that the first Pokemon I would catch for my team is Qualeaf because of it's typing 💚 then Frosky because I love dogs ❄🐶

I talk to the professor and choose Shrubberoose as my starter! When I first go to route 1, I encounter a Quilxin! It may be really common, but it's also really cute! And of course, I just gotta catch it. All these Pokemon are just awesome and I can't help myself but also catch a Quaileaf. And oh my gosh. FROSKY? I love it. I'm catching it. I will keep it forever. It is in my heart. So far, I've caught every Pokemon I've seen. Pokedex is going up! Heh. I go into Dewle City, happy with the Pokemon I had just caught. I quickly heal up and head for route 2. And what can I say, I also catch a Bumblow. I maybe need to slow down on all this Pokemon catching, heh. After that and a little training, I head on to Lake Beartic

Journal log #1: The adventure begins! I picked up my partner, Narwade, from the professor in Vikinu, and together we set out for Route 1. There, I caught Quilxin and Quaileaf, before quickly arriving in Dewle. Our party spent a bit of time exploring Route 2, where Bumblow joined the team as well! It's getting late, though... I'm planning on heading back to Dewle, restocking at the Poké Mart, and seeing if we can find a place to stay for the night, but if not, we can always camp out on Route 2 - either way, tomorrow we make for Lake Beartic! Everyone seems to be getting along perfectly well - we've got a great journey ahead, I just know it!
As a Canadian, this fills me with Serotonin.

I'm massively late to the party but just had to leave a comment to say how fantastic this series is!
It distils all of the charm of a classic Pokémon game and dials it up another notch, which is just so much fun. Everything is just wonderful - the art, the music and especially the Pokémon designs :)

When I first heard of this I really wasn’t sure what to expect but this was awesome man!! Congrats!!
I’m starting Embit! While on route 1 I would try and pick up a Quaileaf really quickly, then continuing training in that area till I found and caught a Frosky! Stop and get potions and pokeballs in the first town before proceeding to route 2 where I would just train along the way till setting up camp at Lake Beartic!
Narwade named Cheese, quilxin named Wyrm, frosky named Candlestick, and Beeutiful the bumblow. Truly a beautiful journey. Magnificent. Majestic. My trusty partner Cheese has taken me far. I would trust Cheese with my life, and my lunch. The latter one was a mistake.

I believe because Norcloh has many unique type combinations that haven't been used much, or have never been used before. Example: Normal/Poison

This is so cool! I love that we don't start in your typical grassy area and instead a beautiful snowy trail, like most of Canada. As for my starter, I would probably pick Shrubberoose.

I would definitely go with Embit. While i do usally choose water starters i just think his design is so creative. Id also probably catch a Quaileaf and Froskey on route 1 and also a Bumblo on route 2. You've done an amazing job, cant wait to see what happens.
Id also like to say that the Reigonal Form for Gengar (from the 8-bit intro) is on my team the second its catchable. At least thats what it looks like it might be new completely... but i want it.
