As a Dino nerd, I feel the need to say that archeologists don’t work with dinosaur fossils, but the do work with human fossils and artifacts. Paleontologists are the ones who work with dinosaur fossils
When I was a kid I dug a random hole with my cousin and we found a fossil (the snail kind) so we were convinced we were archeologists and started digging WAY TOO MANY holes in Grandma's backyard. Don't break our children's dreams. Let us be archeologists! (Kidding, I just wanted to share this anecdote cause I feel like it's every nerdy kid's dream)
Idk if you did this already but as a Native American there are actually a lot of myths about horned owls being evil or being signs for death and despair so I think it would be really cool to make another owl mon that was rivals with the regional variant of decidueye
interesting, wonder if that's tied to the taboo around whistling as it attracts evil, idk if that's real or a movie thing but it's something i've heard before. like if you make that noise in the woods often times an owl will respond hooting back.
As a Colorado native, this whole region made me so happy to see on my recommendations, thank you for making this region, and the artists were absolutely amazing!!!
As much as I would love to see this as a playable game, I’m just happy I was able to enjoy the videos and the creativity shown throughout this project!
For the Frusky line I got attached to the idea of a third stage that looked more disciplined/reserved but would take longer to evolve between stages. The storyline for the evolution becoming a young pup that quickly grows into a wild wolf, but then over a longer period of training becomes a more “domesticated” yet efficient hunter with their partner. First evolving at 10, then if you stick with them into endgame again at around 40-45.
This is the most detailed and polished Pokemon region I found so far. I love the pokemon design, location design, the flow of the game and the most.. the character design! Something I find interisting is Elite Four Dova which use mainly Grass-type that considered weak type to use - maybe like other generation things to do, you could add new moves/abilities in the game for Grass-type so they becomes stronger for get used by the fourth member of the Elite Four.
Here are some similarities to the Scarlet/Violet games that I found: 11:20 - Regional bug Pokémon being Bug/Dark-type. 21:04 - Crystal energy that changes a Pokémon’s type, which is part of the region’s battle mechanic; is linked to the region's box Legendaries, also created by a Legendary. 27:05 - Region’s Pikaclone getting an evolution line. 30:50 - A Pokémon that paints, the colours of the paint depend on what the Pokémon eats. 44:10 - Two-stage whale Pokémon. 47:20 - Regional Pseudo-Legendary being Ice/Dragon-type. 01:00:28 - Fire/Grass evolution similar to Scovillain - Scovillian may be inspired by the cowboy by their flared trouser legs, pose, personality, and Bullet Seed being a STAB move. Cowboys traditionally from Spain, but much more known from Southwestern American states like the Cornera region is inspired by. 01:09:00 - Primeape evolution. 01:29:10 - Cornera’s and Paldea’s history share a story of how the regions were originally made up of separate regions, and a historic event joined them together to make one. 01:29:25 - The box Legendaries share a main colour: Sohawlae & Koraidon with scarlet/red; Bonawte & Miraidon with violet/purple. 01:34:15 - Cornera’s Ruin Trio Legendaries and Paldea’s Ruinous Quartet Legendaries sharing similar group name and their primary Dark type. 01:53:28 - Two Professors that are husband and wife, have some appearance similarities to Paldea's Turo and Sada, and discovered their region’s phenomena/battle mechanic. 02:16:45 - Paldea’s Grusha and Cornera’s Holly are both the eighth Gym Leader of their regions, are former professional snowboarding athletes that became a Gym Leader and share similar thoughts about not liking being a Gym Leader compared to their sporting career. The overall “vibe” of their character designs and personality traits are quite similar. I'm very much looking forward to seeing what your new Fakémon region is all about in future videos! Maybe we can find some predictions for Generation X of Pokémon.
Honestly I feel like panthogon feels like it's design is also very loosely based off Vaporeon, I love it so much. Also the pure joy in your voice when you said "it's a smore!" Was too cute, just, ITS A FREAKIN SMORE- corneran Pyroar is also one of my favorites because LOOKIT THE CHUBBY KITTY-
This was so well thought out and super cool to see! I’m a first time viewer of the channel and I’m super glad this is how I find your videos. It seems so fun to do. I might give it a try based off my state.
Also want to say thank you, i started watching you among other Pokemon RUclipsrs for the last how many years in 2020 I was starting work on my own region but learning through You, Toby, Locksin, True Green and watching you and Infamous T's reviews of others regions have taught me how to go about creating mine... between that and working on my bachelor's degree... The South of USA and the North of México would share almost the same Pokemons, because the region is extremely similar. The mega region could be called "Arida"
I wanna thank you for making this so that I not only relive watching the videos of the Cornera Region, which is pretty fricken awesome, but also giving me inspiration to continue working on my Fakemon despite the Artist Block beating the crap out of me...that and work
living in the four cornered myself, this HAS to be my favorite fakem9n series, it’s so cool for you to show a pokémon and already know what you based it off before you even tell 😂. love this series ❤❤
As someone who lives in Colorado, it's been really fun to watch this project!! It's so cool to see the details of this region and seeing direct references to things I see all the time (Bluecifer my beloved)
HE’S DOING ANOTHER ONE? NO WAY! I watched this series a while back and this video popped up in my recommended, so I’m super excited! Cant wait for the new series!
I see a huge problem with the gym leaders. So many gyms IN A ROW are easily defeated by ground type Pokémon (except for the sound type one), but like- Fire, Electric, Sound, Rock.
1:45:11 an additional fact about the inspiration comes from the dex entries for alolan graveler! The spots are actually dravite, and that’s an actual crystal in the real world, the brown variety of tourmaline. You could have definitely incorporated a regional Totodile line based on the Colorado alligator farm! It came to mind immediately when you mentioned the Rowlett variant
absolutely spectacular! :D There's no better word to describe the creativity. Everything seems so well thought out and fits so super well! It's even given me the inspiration to start reworking my own region lol
Hey dude! You honestly inspire me to make my own fakemon, which I’ve been working on a lot, and I hope u never stop making content (unless you ever stop liking it lol)
I have been following your region on instagram and it is amazing. I love your creative concepts with the pokemon, characters, and region. I definately chose Panthagon as my starter.
This is honestly pretty amazing! As a Colorado resident, I was honestly pretty surprised to know that you were from the same city I live in with my family. Plus all the work you're doing is astonishing, keep up the good work!
i created a Pokémon based off herba mystica Herbamyth, the Herba mystica Pokémon, a grass/normal. Herbamyth is said to be an extraordinary Pokémon due to the fact it contains all 5 herba mystica on its body. Don't let Herbamyth catch off guard in a fight, its ability, Flavor swap, can change the tides of battle faster than a Blast burn! Flavor swap: Depending on terrain (snowstorm, sandstorm, elec. terrain) it can change its normal typing in fairy/electric/fire/dark/water
WHY DIDNT I GET RECOMMENDED THIS SOONER?? I live in Fort Collins and this region is basically exactly what I imagined a part Colorado region to be like. I LOVE IT!!!
I feel like Corneran Decidueye line society would be great for a Pokemon movie. I can just imagine a trainer accidentally stumbling across this huge underground owl society and being gobsmacked
Strong Personal Opinions: Flambabe is my starter choice for sures! 35:18 I'm not a huge fan of the Numel variant as the military hats seem a bit forced. 37:20 The Teddiursa regional variant is genius! 54:07 These also both feel really forced to me like Numel. You have simply crushed this so so so incredibly hard. I particularly loved your addition of Kiq and the pre-evo That landslide whale is OP and would 100% be on my team 🙌
I absolutely love the legendary designs. While it may be a lot of regional variants, given how big the National Dex is already I don't think a regional dex with a large number of variants is necessarily a bad thing. It allows for some exploration of new ideas and typings while making older mons relevant again. I feel like some of the newer gen mons are reinventing the wheel a little, when a good regional variant could easily suffice in their place. Also that I love how Cowboy Karn is now a pokemon villian lol.
33:33 I think this is probably the best concept I've seen for a Fire-Fairy. There is not yet a marshmallow pokemon, and make it a regional is Genius! Even the evolution seems so natural.
Me seeing Byron: *_"DEFEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!"_*
I absolutely adore Panthalagon. It's so interesting to see videos of things I love combined with the culture of where I live! I recently moved to a city on the great lakes, Lake Superior, and many of my friends and I are actually Anishinaabe.
I went through all your Cornera videos when I first found your channel but it's only now I've realised how much more confident you sound in recent videos compared to that first one.
I really love Bonawte, its design and demeanor, and how it thought about the balance between light and darkness, that is one heck of a Pokémon. I also think its pretty cute and badass at the same time.
Really fun video. I love the concepts behind all the Pokémon, and the gimmick. The editing was a tad slow for my taste, but watching in 1.25x helped keep my attention.
Back when I was seven, I made two regions: Genore, and Azarth. Genore is based off of China, and Azarth is based off of...well...nothing. Never thought of it. But I've made a few pokemon! I'll start with Genore. - Icipup (An Ice type, of course, and it's ability is Snow Warning) - Iciclaw (An Ice and Steel type, and it's ability is also Snow Warning) - Cryonine (An Ice and Steel type, and it's ability is Heat Proof. I was also planning on making it a Pseudo-Legendary) -Toxiceon (A Poison type evolution of Eevee, and it's ability is Merciless) - Eevera (A evolution of Eevee that's Normal, but it's able to use every move possible, and it never had an ability {Seven year old imagination was wild}) And for Azarth, the only pokemon I've ever even thought of were... Rainbowyon (A....dare I say it....R a i n b o w type {I was seven-} evolution of Eevee, also with no ability) The name of the regions are definitely creative, but not so much the last three Pokemon. Feel free to rate these, I guess?-
I’m stopping 34 minutes in asking myself when did he complete these ideas cause a lot of his ideas sort of ended up in Scarlet and Violet 😅 amazing work man!!!
Incredible that you designed a primeape evolution, ice-dragon pseudo and then a fire-grass Pokémon and mentioned pepper as one of the possible designs before Violet and Scarlet came out 😮💨 go buy a lotto ticket, man!
I have an idea for a new battle gimmick: tripletization. It gives the Pokémon a third type and a tri-typed move based on the type that got added. The trainer uses a triple stone (similar to the triforce) and throws it up, yelling the type they want. Please implement this.😊
Drageraph is incredible, I wish that's what we actually got as an evolution to dragonair (dragonite is fine but I wish it was a seperate line). Unlike dragonite which removes many of the things I loved about dragonair, drageraph not only keeps those things but adds onto it. I also really love all three starters, though the water one is easily my favorite, and I like slithire a lot too even if I get why you feel it doesn't work. The colors on the variant of eldegoss are incredible and made me instantly fall in love with it, and Amalgalith is so creative and cool. Basically feels like a better-executed version of the idea the galarian fossils went for and it's a super creative idea for a cubone variant evolution. Overall I love a lot of these, cool dex :)
This is my first time seeing any of your content on this region, but I laughed quite a bit when you showed the Fire Snake. I have my own WIP fan region (hopefully game one day) and my Fire starter's name is Searpent, Drakacid, and Miasdra
Become a member! It really helps me continue to make Fakemon videos like this one!

If my 6th grade History class taught me right, I think that anthropologists actually study human fossils, and archeologists just stick to artifacts.

I went through all your Cornera videos when I first found your channel but it's only now I've realised how much more confident you sound in recent videos compared to that first one.
Yea, I have definitely grown as a creator since then.
@@PragMagikyou definitely have
I really love Bonawte, its design and demeanor, and how it thought about the balance between light and darkness, that is one heck of a Pokémon. I also think its pretty cute and badass at the same time.
This makes me wanna make my own fakemon series
Came for the Dragonair Evo and got hooked by everything else. So epic!
49:03 definitely the last one. So cool. Love the Hodag incorporation, I’ve always loved a good Hodag!
the fact that gamefreak has given some pokemon new evos after this in the paldea region but his pokemon evos is much better is actually crazy
Honestly really like how you gave the fire starter electric type. I can totally see rams charging at each other at lighting speed
Imagine this project turns out to be a fan made pokemon game 😲
I'm only 36 minutes into this video, and now I want to come up with a Pokemon region in my area!! 🤩🤩
Love how this gimmick is connected to crystals just like terastalization.
Really fun video. I love the concepts behind all the Pokémon, and the gimmick.
The editing was a tad slow for my taste, but watching in 1.25x helped keep my attention.
I would probably pick the grass starter. So friendly and fancy 😊
Currently watching this for inspo while working on my own fakemon region based on Canada, very fun designs all around!
Back when I was seven, I made two regions: Genore, and Azarth. Genore is based off of China, and Azarth is based off of...well...nothing. Never thought of it. But I've made a few pokemon!
I'll start with Genore.
- Icipup (An Ice type, of course, and it's ability is Snow Warning)
- Iciclaw (An Ice and Steel type, and it's ability is also Snow Warning)
- Cryonine (An Ice and Steel type, and it's ability is Heat Proof. I was also planning on making it a Pseudo-Legendary)
-Toxiceon (A Poison type evolution of Eevee, and it's ability is Merciless)
- Eevera (A evolution of Eevee that's Normal, but it's able to use every move possible, and it never had an ability {Seven year old imagination was wild})
And for Azarth, the only pokemon I've ever even thought of were...
Rainbowyon (A....dare I say it....R a i n b o w type {I was seven-} evolution of Eevee, also with no ability)
The name of the regions are definitely creative, but not so much the last three Pokemon.
AND the ice gym leader that used to be a pro skier and now is just cold and depressed
@@umloucoae3886 Yeah he's getting the million dollars.
I love Zachary
@Xolnyxia yeah, it’s the most obvious idea for a grass/fire type
If someone made a fan game, fenrir is definently going on my team.
This really really really really needs to be turned into a game. These are awesome. Please find someone to turn this into a game.
I have been in this series since the Route 1 Pokemon and I'm going to miss Cornera. This is one of the best Fakemon region I have ever seen.
I kept going back to the part where the deer said I’m to go for you look at my beautiful horns LOL
I just realized 99% of all of these Pokemon evolve
Love these compilations. Also, the starters would be absolutely broken in a game.
Fr bro he just removed the quad weakness
