For both truck & bus drivers, paperwork is an integral part of their job. Watch the video!
Before you even start working as a CDL driver, your ability to do and complete paperwork is demonstrated by your application-i.e. resume & cover letter. As well, you will be required to fill out bills of lading, trips & log sheets, keep track of expenses, and perhaps customs paperwork. Depending on the job and its specifications, the paperwork could potentially be extensive.

Hi Rick, many thanks for your awesome videos. Regarding paperwork,.. I use a combination of Briefcase & Ziploc. I bought a zippered file folder (no rings, just plastic sleeves inside) at Staples in Canada. Besides looking professional it's very user friendly & it has 12 sleeves so plenty of space for my paperwork.

Hi Chessmann - thank you for your comment. Yes, I find the Ziplocs work well to keep the paperwork organized for different trips. And then keep the whole thing in a briefcase. And the zippered file folder is a great tip! And you're right...looking professional goes a long way! All the best, Cheers Rick
