I bought one of these on a whim a few years ago (I am a guitarist), and I simply couldn't understand it at all. I gave it to my niece who studies vocals at university music conservatory and she loves it. Tera Echo TE-2 can bring out effects for vocals like 50's sound, sudden spacey overtones for avantgarde singing and much more. Overall, TE-2 seems to respond to a human voice with as lively echo effects as a human voice can be. All in all, TE-2 seems to work great with human vocals.
I use to have this effect on my DD-200 and DD-500 but sold those units! They are both great!! but I just changed to Strymon at good prices on eBay :) anyway, I always found the Tera Echo interesting. I have now got an order in for the TE-2 :) it’s not really a pedal for those who will treat it like a normal delay, it gets you thinking with how to use it and I like how it responds to your playing
