Doris was 53 at that time.A natural beauty indeed. John just 32.Both with German anchestors. So talented and shining. John's death at 53 in 1997 was a real tragedy.
Thank you for bringing this lovely video to us. Two lovely people and John Denver left us way too soon. They both had beautiful voices. Rest in peace 🙏
That was SO funny. I've been a John Denver fan forever and was great seeing this again. I'm 69 so can remember when tv was good viewing for the entire family. Thank goodness people, like these two lovely people, can still be seen. Thank you so much.
I dont mean to be offtopic but does any of you know a trick to log back into an instagram account?? I was stupid lost the account password. I appreciate any help you can offer me
@Alvaro Porter Thanks for your reply. I found the site thru google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
LOVED HIS AND DORIS' SINGING SO MUCH JOHN AND DORIS SANG LIKE THINGS WERE ALWAYS COOL ANDD CALM BUT most of all so smooth and pleasant. great songs great music and great voices.
Don't get me wrong, I love John Denver but Doris Day's silky smooth voice can make anyone else's sound scratchy:-) She was an amazing talent and so was John!
Wow. Loved John and to see him with Doris Day. I don't know who was luckier to meet who. Both of these people I so admire. I would love to be able to sit with Doris and talk to her about all her experiences with the actors in her life. I know she probably didn't get to know John Denver like she knew the other actors in her life. So cool though.
Hi Howard, Thanks for uploading another gem here! Doris looks great in her blue outfit. Wish they had done more singing together!!! Doris' and John's voices blend very good together I think.
Great show! Hello type in "Ron Howard Cover" listen to "The Dance" To all of us who have lost ones. Life goes that fast, and we will see them again that soon! R.I.P. John.
@@holarc It would've open her a complete new career, but I guess it was too far away from her image. It's a pity. Imagine, Miss Day would've been Mrs. Robinson! It could've been a milestone in movie's history! If there is a mistake in my English, please forgive, it's not my first language.
@@markuskozlik5242 thank u. that's exactly right. she was unfortunately a bit inhibited i believe, and probably allowed more conservative (and puritanical), family, friends and other 'voices' to influence her. i read that a close friend of hers said that she had actually been a very sensual person in private life, and had numerous affairs and lovers. that's of course not quite like the nasty domineering character of 'mrs. robinson', but a bit closer anyway. i loved her freshness in her early film 'calamity jane', and in the first half of it her androgynous/masculine qualities! have u seen it?
@@holarc I've got Calamity Jane on DVD, in German we would say, her performance was "burschikos" (Burschi is a word for boy). I love this movie, she's fantastic!

Apparently she was always receiving Scripps right up until the time that she got too sick. at 7:52 . . . What modern tv show does this uniform remind me of . . . and I don't mean any disrespect but John Denver has a much much better looking face than the main character in that tv show I'm remembering . . .
I can’t figure out why Doris resented being thought of as wholesome and the girl next door? Ive seen her do it over and over in interviews and as a guest on other tv shows. Did she want to be “trashy”or something? Weird. I always loved her movies but not her real-life persona.
Maybe because of that image, she never got the respect her impeccable musical career deserved. Even today we talk about her image and not about the quality of her work
Doris and John probably dancing and singing everyday together in heaven. I miss both of them from childhood into my old age.❤
John and Doris both are amazing people...I remember watching this when I was young....LOVE THEM BOTH...❤❤
Two greats of entertainment and what a legacy they left us! ❤

At this point in time I was in love with John
Doris recorded two TV hour long specials I thought in 1971 and 1975. . Didn't realise she appeared with John Denver.on his own show. in 1974.

Longing for Doris right now.......
Absolutely bless both of their hearts unfortunately there are both gone And in heaven. May they have found their dreams
to pursue.

Doris looks great for her -or any-age, John, as always cute, but for once is so sexy in his rocker outfit, They look quite hot to me both...
Wat was het dat haar zo betoverend maakte voor een kind van 14 jaar die met haar ouders bijna alle films die Doris maakte in de jaren 60 ging kijken?
