This one was so useful to me. I never knew what multi passing did. I'm still confused on a few of the options you were clicking, like object buffers, but that's something I need to learn myself. Waiting for episode 4!
Reccomend you do! It's a bit of a hassle at first, but they can save your ass sometimes! And yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Either that or put them in a render que.
You get everything in seperate layers. First a color layer, specular layer, reflection layer, shadows, AO, etc. Say you make your render, and your shadow is too hard for example, you can just go to your shadow layer and lower it's opacity in post. Or color correct it. That's just a simple example, but it works with a whole bunch of stuff. Great thing is not having to re-render while otherwise you might have to!

Oh wow, that seriously sounds amazing, I've always just exported the actual footage and then the .aec file.
