I just ran it through my local taco bell menu. $5.04, which is probably about right considering inflation. They were ~$4.30 a couple of years ago at the same spot.
Mexican Pizza at Taco Bell used to also have sliced black olives & chives on it & I remember, like in the 90's, it being a delicious delicacy. I loved it - I enjoyed it. Today, it might be less good because of those things missing.
I worked at Taco Bell in ~2000-2002, and at that time they were made almost the same way they are now. They did have green onions (not chives) but Taco Bell removed green onions from their entire menu when they were seemingly getting recalled every other week for awhile and they've never brought them back. They were also made with a pair of tostada shells. Not all stores had fryers, mine didn't at first. We didn't get one until a bit after Chalupas were added.
@@MTGeomancer Oh ok, I didn't remember exactly when they last had green onions, & that it used tostada shells, & I get confused about green onions & chives - I think scallions is another one of those kind of onions. @@SegataSanshiro-y7m Kinda overdoing the joke buddy. Playing the fool was funny the first time when i thought you where serious, but it's just coming across a bit try hard now.
I think the reason Mexican takeaway food isn't that popular in the UK because the more basic stuff you tend to get from takeaways like burritos, tacos and fajitas are so quick, easy and cheap to make at home using pre-made tortillas and spice mixes. It's also a more fun meal when you just lay out the ingredients and make them yourself at the table, rather than them coming pre-made. In my experience, there are plenty of sit-in restaurants if you want really good Mexican or Tex-Mex food, It's just the takeaways that are lacking.
It’s most likely because Taco Bell in the UK has only just started to become more widespread in the past few years, even still in a lot of places you can only find Taco Bell in city centres. I guess when it’s accessible for everyone like other chains are we’ll get a breakfast menu.
@@VERTlG0s To be honest, breakfast is where Taco Bell thrives; their lunch options are so unfortunate that doing breakfast would be a boon to business. It's a lot harder to mess up breakfast burritos and fried potatoes.

hey just fyi since Taco Bell is a Mexican fast food (albeit American chain) the menu items are derived from Mexican/Latin dishes. ie that Chalupa is inspired by a legit mexican food rather than just being american.
Naked chicken taco is probably the best thing on the menu besides the cheesy gordita crunch. I don't know what the hell Joe is on about. ALSO yet again Insider foods not doing their research. @onemorechris ----- You're right. It's a long way from food in Mexico. For example those hard shell tacos US style don't exist. The typical taco is soft and usually 1 or 2 corn tortillas that are heated on a grill. Usually the meat filling is not ground beef, it's chopped up pieces of thin steaks. In Mexico there is a hard shell item called taquitos which is a corn tortilla shaped into a tube form (unlike the US version) and deep fried. It usually just has a meat filling, but they'll put cream or a runny guacamole on the outside as a sauce. Taco Bell tried to do restaurants in Mexico City but they failed.
@@onemorechris -- In Mexico often people will eat tacos from carts parked on the sidewalk, IMO the best way to do it. My brother-in-law goes to his favorite stand and asks the vendor to “give him a half hour of tacos “.

From what they've said in other episodes, the food coloring isn't really illegal, it just requires a warning label which has the effect of it just not being used.
In Mexico today is 31 march
National taco day
I send u a hug for everyone enjoy taco life 🫶🏽
yall remember the cool ranch hard shell taco 😭
This appears to be the old menu before 2024.
I’ve never had Taco Bell here in the UK and after watching this I don’t feel that I’m missing out 🤔
taco bell hits a very specific spot and that is drunk or hungover
@@cicelyamelia looking at the contents of some of those tortillas I don’t think they would do anything for a hangover other than make me 🤮
You are missing out lol. The key is their fire sauce. Make sure ask for a bunch on the side.
I’m happy for Joe. He should take care of health and maybe now try doing a cross-over with India / Australia/ China/ Japan instead of trying and doing the same thing over.
Harry skipped the grilled cheese burrito which is easily the best item on the menu
hey just fyi since Taco Bell is a Mexican fast food (albeit American chain) the menu items are derived from Mexican/Latin dishes. ie that Chalupa is inspired by a legit mexican food rather than just being american.
Naked chicken taco is probably the best thing on the menu besides the cheesy gordita crunch. I don't know what the hell Joe is on about. ALSO yet again Insider foods not doing their research. We literally have the black bean chalupa supreme. We've had it at the very least since my local taco bell opened in 2013.
Tee hee we still have the 7-layer burrito in Canada. Best thing on their menu!
Joe definitely needed more coffee before recording this...
I am being fed up by how Joe ripped Vegetarians and Vegans by thudding all the plant based foods,Vegans and Vegetarians, all together, you need to start fighting for better meat substitutes!Cause based on the UK plant based foods on Taco Bell,It’s definitely not good enough,I wouldn’t stand for it!
@@SegataSanshiro-y7m definitely not, because here in Hong Kong , Mexican food isn’t as popular, but apparently it’s like refried beans, right?
Its so nice taco bell is bringing traditional authentic mexican cuisine to the far corners of the world
Can't wait to get a volcano burrito in a few weeks.
I miss the grilled stuffed burrito 😞🌯
Does anyone remember the Fresco line Taco Bell did years and years ago? I miss that.
Ok so he’s not even going to eat it? 🙄 what’s the point of even being on there?
Ta-ckos 😂
i know very little about Mexican cuisine but i’m guessing Taco Bell is like asking a Californian to make a Shepard’s Pie
Honestly, it's all about the mild sauce. That's the glorious taste of taco bell right there
@onemorechris ----- You're right.
@@bruxi78230 sounds better than what i had to eat on the side of an interstate in the middle of no where :)
@@onemorechris -- In Mexico often people will eat tacos from carts parked on the sidewalk, IMO the best way to do it. My brother-in-law goes to his favorite stand and asks the vendor to “give him a half hour of tacos “.
This definitely predates the cantina chicken menu
Awesome job joe and Harry drop a like
Harry tries almost everything, Joe eats almost nothing.
I didn't see a Taco Bell when I visited London, but I did try one at South Korea's Incheon airport and it was very different and very weird haha.
I don't think i could eat a while case o'dilla maybe just one or two 😂 (kidding i love taco bell quesadillas, easily second best thing on the menu after volcano burrito)
The plant based 'meat' didn't last long on the menu in the UK and is now gone, at least at my local one. Meanwhile we've had chalupas for ages, but perhaps it's not universal.
I think US usually comes out looking better overall because Harry is more generous in his feedback and Joe is more critical.
Still on the one near me.
0:49 No not tack-o😅. As someone born and raised in SoCal around real Mexican food, I cringe when someone says “tack-o” or pronounces the “j” in “jalapeño”. Best tacos I have ever had were the adobada taco down in San Diego at Tacos El Gordo.
3:00 Pepsi beverages? Here in Romania Taco Bell has Coca Cola.
Taco Hell, I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.
