That's very likely what happened to that other person. I feel sorry for people that it happens to, but I once had something similar happen with a Disney order. I ended up with DVDs I never ordered, we called them and they basically told us not to worry about it. I think they still sent the proper order, but basically told us to keep it.

At 2:45 you can see the card bending. With time the solder from memory or bga will crack and the gpu will fail.
Amazon did the same thing for me awhile ago. My Sons PC had a 10100f and for his birthday I was going to upgrade to an 11600k which I found on sale for like 120 bucks. I got the order in and it had an 11600k amazon sticker on it but it was a 12600k(which had just been released and was going for 280$ at the time). I did have to spend another 120 on a new mothboard but he got one hell of an upgrade and it costs me less than the 12600k. Thank you amazon XD

I wish my RTX 3060 ran that well. I think the heat sink might be just ok for it, but I don't like seeing 80 degrees in games lol

Why is everyone hellbent on pretending Nvidias alternative to DLSS for GTX cards (Nvidia Image Scaler) doesn't exist?
Because it's plain terrible. Even fsr is better, and it's still terrible, rather not play at all. NIS makes you choose between blurry image and sharpening artefacts, which show themselves even as low as 15% sharpening. XESS is better for gtx, especially if newer version could run on them.
I'd wager FSR is better

Early Micron GDDR6 was very prone to failure. It only affected early batch models from what I believe

I actually had the wrong graphics card sent to me from a retail purchase of a new graphics card listing.
It was from NCIX (the company Linus of Linustech used to work for). The problem was with the listing itself, they had inaccurately listed a graphics card because they got it confused with a similar but slightly slower one. AMD's own confusing naming was largely to blame, but there was also inaccurate information on the box itself which made it easier to get it confused with the other similar graphics card.
No one to this day went to jail for the personal data leak when they went bankrupt lol
