Boss Katana, Valve like tone and dynamic response

My new amp, The Boss Katana 100w 2 x 12" Just Typical, I bought it the month before the MK2 version came out. Still its a great amp and it really has got that valve like tone and the perfect response to picking dynamics and guitar volume levels. I test it with various guitars to show it lets the true tonal character shine through... Along with the Kemper and Axe FX Is this the beggining of the end for valve (tube) amp's?
