Great stuff! Ultramarines are not among my favorite Chapters, but the Tyrannic Wars and the risen Primarch make them awesome nevertheless and this was a very dramatically tense and entertaining package!

It's from the game Gladius! And thank you so much brother. I try to keep it conversational and fun. A lot of my early Lore comes from talking to people in local game stores, which then galvanized me to go get the army book, or read the BL book. I wanted to create that same air of casual narrative with some linguistic flourishes here and there Hahah

The town was reduced to rubble for defying the imperial creed, together with the fools that ignored the evacuation. Some of the survivors abused the blinded Cyrene afterwards and left her to wander directionless through the dusty plains.
The ultramarines also murdered thousands in the city, the remembrancer saw the ultramarines shot into a crowd of people and there were scenes of predator tanks grinding over the corpses of imperial citizens and blowing up inhabitated buildings.
You forgot to mentioned on a letting involving guilimen,Calgary and the chapter masters if the ultramarines succesor chapter and how guilimen scolded them for his every little failure and ignored his sons many victories
If Calgar was the Chapter Master, why was command transferred from the First Captain to Guilliman? Wouldn't the Chapter Master be the one the relinquish command to the Primarch?

That's interesting. The version I heard of the starcraft origin is a little different. When I heard is that blizzard approached GW to create a 40K video game but GW told them to f*** off. So they did and created starcraft
I heard GW approached Blizz whi did the work, like they did for Warcraft for GW, and GW for a second time made a HUGE mistake and Blizz made kabillions off repurposed GW material.
In reality it is much less exciting that this. It was a negotiation that happened between lawyers and suits during several meetings and they simply could not agree to the terms of GW. Basically GW asked for a big percentage of sales just because of the WH 40k original IP, even though Blizz was doing all the work on that game. By that time, the "terran" race was almost finished and they had started work on the "zerg". So Blizz just changed direction and modified the units' art to not look like space marines and tyranids, but lets face it, they still do. Even more so in SC2. Later on GW made the deal with Relic and we got Dawn of War 1 in 2004. The rest is history.
I love the passion you put into these videos, it shows a love for the setting and lore in general. However I have to say with honest critique that this was both good and very confusing and that comes from a guy whom favors the Ultramarines and know everything about them to the extreme (I collect them and 110% a major fanboy of the legion). The jumping back and forth from the 40k setting back to the Horus heresy struck me as very confusing at the current time of the story, as a new viewer to your channel that might have been a bit too much information, whereas you should had said briefly this (I'll explain the whole spiele in a later video). I think you should have started out with a small backstory of the Ultramarines in that regard. Another note in regards of the Roboute Guilliman, he died Spartacus, he wasn't "rebirthed", he was resurrected from death. Guilliman died after the time sphere dropped and was both given his suit/armour while blessed both by Celestine and Yvraine to raise once more into the world of the living. Also you didn't mention anything about the major plotline of how much Guilliman took Calgar's past honor and deeds away from him in the sense of disappointing his Primarch by minor distractions whom he couldn't control. Not even to begin on the major factor that Calgar is in fact wearing deamonic forged gauntlets "Reforged" and has anger issues as of late.
Failbaddon the Armless, in a tactics duel? You'd think that'd be a short fight after even the last Black Crusade more or less failed in all but it's initial objective... and it took what, 10,000 years and 13 odd tries to manage that?
Heheh tau didn't come around until 2001, in the 4th edition. Starcraft was released in 1998. The Protoss were supposed to be Eldar, but they weren't anywhere near completed so they are entirely Blizzards construct!
