of all the Primarchs Vulcan has always been my favorites , and it's because in a world where there are no "good guys" Vulkan IS a Good person through and through , willing to sacrifice himself over and over just to protect a single person even if it's just some random hobo , not even entirely because it's a fellow human but because it's a living being who needs help
to an extent, Magnus is also a good guy, he never willingly went to the side of Chaos, He tried to warn Big E about the Truth of Horus' fate and got branded a Traitoris Extremis by the Emperor and the Sons of Russ were sent to "deal" with Magnus. As to whether Horus changed the orders from mere "arrest" to wiping out the Thousand Sons is uncertain as there were Custodes present during the Burning of Prospero and they only take orders from Big E himself.
In the way Vulkan protects the Human race, I say it this way as Primarchs and the Astartes are really "Post-Human", from threats to human life, Magnus is a "Good Guy" as he sought to protect the human race by educating them, in a sense, raise them from a primitive feuding people to a more highly intuitive people that understand what chaos and the warp is... A Scholar trying to teach a galaxy too blind to head his teachings.
(offtopic) just reading over the two previous posts I typed up, it would seem like I'd fit in perfectly amongst the 15th Legiones Astartes "Thousand Sons"
Primarch Vulkan. Blacksmith. General. Searching for a way to save the Imperium he loves. Then an accidental dose of WAAAGH radiation interacts with his unique body chemistry. And now, when Vulkan grows angry or outraged, a startling metamorphosis occurs. The creature is driven by rage and pursued by a holy Inquisitor. An accidental explosion took the lives of several psykers and supposedly, the Primarch's as well. The Inquisitor thinks the creature was responsible; deaths that Vulkan can't prove he or the creature didn't commit. So he must let the Imperium go on thinking that he to, is dead. Until he can find a way to control the raging spirit that dwells within him... THE INCREDIBLE VULK!!!
@@jeffthemercenary so there’s this dope series on RUclips called “if the emperor had a text to speech device” it’s a parody of warhammer and is honestly one of the funniest fan made parodies I’ve ever seen. Seconded. Unfortunately, GW seems to enjoy juxtaposing the Salamanders' amazing lore by making them one of the weakest chapters edition after edition after edition. If you're a lover of lore, though, I think it's worth it to have an army of them. I'd love to have the talent and resources to get my hands on some Salamanders and paint them in a way that does them justice.
The oldest I read was the Salamander who lived over 10,000 years seated in a crashed ship under a planet. But he was old and way past his time, the apothecary gives him the emperors peace and rescues his gene seed. So that might be around the oldest a normal space marine can live. Vulkan should be truly immortal, I expect a return from him eventually!
well if you consider old night, Nocturnians forgot humanity's origins. so as far as they knew all humans had red eyes and onyx skin. so big E would have been a bizarre looking freak.

A really amazing video here ItalianSpartacus. Vulkan and the Salamanders are one of my favorite primarchs and legions/chapters and this video does the father of the 18th and his stoic sons great justice.

Just a suggestion, because I’ll be really excited to see any Primarch video you make- would you consider doing one on Malcador the Hero/ the Sigillite? I know he isn’t a Primarch, but he’s probably my favorite character from the Heresy Era. Really fascinating character, as I’m sure you know! Thanks again for the awesome video- =][=
Mark Brigandi I absolutely must. You cannot tell the story of the primarchs without the regent of Terra and agent for the creation of the grey Knights!! Glad you liked it man! :)
I just got this recommended, after I read The Beast Arises. You should check in on that story, there is a volume dedicated to this primarch your video is about.
Vulkan the biggest strongest(physically) kindest primarch. I feel like the emperor of man kind gave Vulkan all the best genetics. The perpetual gene, hes wolverine and cannot die. The most physically strong of all the primarchs.
Him and a few other primarchs I would follow into the deepest hell holes of materium and immaterium. I am drawn to the true heroes and benign leaders in 40k who stand against the unrelenting tide of evil in the galaxy.
David annandale - vulkan lord of drakes There are 2 juicy infor for folks who love salamanders. 1) salamanders are prone to localised their protection for specific humans territory (before their great crusade). I thought they release primarchs on popularity basis. But seeing leman russ is one of the popular one, I can't understand why release of Magnus does not trigger his release into 50k time line.
Everyone knew where rowboat girlyman was, sitting on a throne in a stasis field for 10,000 years on macragge. He's also the perfect leader for the imperium. Russ is my favourite but he's not a bureaucrat. He's a warlord. If he came back he'd just take the space Wolves on a massive crusade of murder forever
I can picture Vulkan and Emps just standing there making small talk while holding anvils over their heads (which was probably like holding baskets for them)
Dude is one of my favourite primarchs right off the bat when getting into 40k I would love for him or Russ to come back. Won't complain if it's the lion either
Point of clarification. The forge father Vulcan he'stan is not the chapter Master. His role as forge father keeps him busy all over the galaxy, and he can requisition pretty much anything he needs but captain Tu'shan of the first company serves as chapter Master and Regent of nocturn. Because "Vulcan lives" it is all sorg of done as a leading in his stead sort of way.
Ahh, good ol' scarry looking boy with a huge hammer, amazing blacksmith skills and even bigger heart. How can you not love him? Seriously, the culture of his people and the way he changed his legion is something, that brings hope into the universe, where there is nothing but war. Seriously, Salamanders and Space wolves are one of a few orders that are very well known for being close to ordinary people, common soldiers and protecting them, while hating all of those hipocracy, lies and the rest of the stuff going on in higher society. How can you possibly not love those guys? Fun fact: Thanks to their Papa teaching them the art of Blackshimt ordinary Salamander's marine is usually better uquipt then a 1st company veteran from some other orders
ItalianSpartacus :) That's fair. Your primarch series is one of the best around, I'm glad to have found it a couple weeks ago. I am very much looking forward to your video of Lorgar, though I would understand if you save the best for last. :)
yes, he still lives.. ^^ But I found it kind of sad, that he avoided his fellow Salamaders to have an audience with him, cause he wanted to avoid them to be effected by this, whilst beeing part of a joined mission with astartes of other chapters.
The reason why I really love vulkan is he is a living cure for depression and scuide like scp 999 if a guardmen wants to kills himself then vulkan comes fast as a ork motor vehicle to hug the guardmen sadness away
Sanguinius and Russ, are my favorite, but I've always been curious about Vulcan. How did he become a perpetual? Are all his gene-progeny perpetual also? His selfless and self-sacrificing nature are truly the epitome of the good in man.
Youve gotten mixed up early on in this video with how the people of Nocturne look. It's actually only the Salamanders Space Marines that look that way as a result of their genetic ties with Vulkan. This (supposedly ) due to exposure to the odd radiation that Nocturne's star produces having an effect on the marines Gene-seed (I've not yet read the Primarchs series Vulkan novel yet to see if Terra-born Salamanders are decsribed as still having the defect). It is stated though in the Salamanders novel series by Nick Kyme that Salamanders initiates go through a stage of reverse vitiligo. Also a Salamander named Dak'ir becomes scared from a plasma burn covering one half of his face, it burned away the skin pigmentation there causing him to consider the duality of himself looking half transhuman and half mortal (suggesting that he looked that way before his initiation into the Chapter).
“Cute “baby” primarch gestation pods...” Didn’t you say in the Sanguinise video you find babies just creepy, like a spawn of the devil and disturbing to you...??? And when do we get Corvus and Lorgar (who did nothing wrong til Girlyman razed Monachia!!) and the rest of the Primarchs?
"There are no good guys in 40k" Salamanders *defend refugee caravans and water installations, refusing to fire artillery against the enemy due to proximity of a few thousnads refugees and almost execute a captain of an other chapter for doing that* I don't know guys, putting yourself between those who cannot defend themselves and a murderous enemy and refusing to accept colleteral causulties for tactical advantage and not going for high honor targets but instead burdening yourself with escorting the defenseless to safety. Sounds pretty good guy to me.
The Ultramarines shall be the Imperium's Shield. The Wolves shall be the Emperor's Executioners. The Salamanders will be humanity's heroes.

Oh HELL Yes I would the idea.
4:56 Feats of Strength you say? The celebration they had wouldn't be called "Festivus" by any chance, would it?
I can picture Vulkan and Emps just standing there making small talk while holding anvils over their heads (which was probably like holding baskets for them)
Dude is one of my favourite primarchs right off the bat when getting into 40k I would love for him or Russ to come back. Won't complain if it's the lion either
Vulkan, the most underrated Primarch.
Konrad Curze tried to kill Vulcan really REALLY hard with a FORK
Nice work man!
No mention of his part in the beast arises?
unfortunately i have no read that relatively new series and i don't want to misrepresent the lore on it.. the ending result is the same though ;)
ItalianSpartacus
:)
That's fair.
Good stuff! Been waiting so long!
i know! i'm so sorry!
Since there are 9 trials, and all the other greek references, one might call them "Herculean" tasks. Hmm...
HE ABSORBED SOME A DAT WAAAGH ENERGY THEM GREEN-SKIN BOIZ ARE ALWAYS ON ABOUT!
OH ZOG
The reason why I really love vulkan is he is a living cure for depression and scuide like scp 999 if a guardmen wants to kills himself then vulkan comes fast as a ork motor vehicle to hug the guardmen sadness away
Sanguinius and Russ, are my favorite, but I've always been curious about Vulcan. How did he become a perpetual? Are all his gene-progeny perpetual also? His selfless and self-sacrificing nature are truly the epitome of the good in man.
Amm isnt Tu´shan the Chaptermaster?^^
Vulkan He´stan is Forgefather he is outside of the Chapters organisation.
Love the map campaign idea!
i'll see if i can do it proper justice!
Definitely. Dropsite video would be good one.
I can't look at Vulcan sounding like a big jolly green giant
well, konrad can't get a good sleep at night, some crows are always watching for him
Youve gotten mixed up early on in this video with how the people of Nocturne look.
Great stuff. Vulkan lives!
My favourite chapter!
“Cute “baby” primarch gestation pods...”
Didn’t you say in the Sanguinise video you find babies just creepy, like a spawn of the devil and disturbing to you...???
And when do we get Corvus and Lorgar (who did nothing wrong til Girlyman razed Monachia!!) and the rest of the Primarchs?
Absolutely. I hate babies like I hate bees.
Khan is next! And soon!
ItalianSpartacus our of honest curiosity, why do you hate babies?
great video.i can't wait for your video of the dropsite massacre.
yeah i gotta get balls deep in that! :D
he tried REALLY HARD. With a fork.
Vulkan is the Jolly Green Giant of 40k and thats why we love him
salamanders and vulkan is easily my fav group in warhammer 40k lol
Would love a video on Perturabo or Alpharius next
noted! :) i'm taking them all down
Good video... Wondering Why are none of the 40k Lore Channels covering sanguinous?
i can do him next ;) he's one of my favorite primarchs as i play Blood Angels
Salamander Dreadnought: THE ENEMY WALKER CHALLENGES ME, I SHALL BOOP ITS SNOOT
i honestly hope both Vulkan and The Khan Return sooner than later.
as normal as a tyranid to the face is. hahaha! most epic line ever
It makes you think if each primarch would of had a nurturing upbringing they wouldn't of turned out how it did.
Definitely tell us about the spacemarine battles in depth.
i shall :)!
*BRUVA FREN INTENSIFIES*
so if vulkan returns how would he view the pact with the eldar?
in what scope? like how angry he would be?
They should get the Rock to play Vulkan in a movie!
"There are no good guys in 40k"
Salamanders *defend refugee caravans and water installations, refusing to fire artillery against the enemy due to proximity of a few thousnads refugees and almost execute a captain of an other chapter for doing that*
I don't know guys, putting yourself between those who cannot defend themselves and a murderous enemy and refusing to accept colleteral causulties for tactical advantage and not going for high honor targets but instead burdening yourself with escorting the defenseless to safety. Sounds pretty good guy to me.
