I bought one of these to be able to test my grip strength. I'm autistic, and suffer from both Crohn's disease and Multiple Sclerosis. At my worst I was at 40lbs in my dominant hand. I could barely use a can opener. I struggle to lift things heavier than 10lbs. I bought this thing to measure the effect of a fecal matter transplant on my health. There's some indications that FMTs can treat multiple sclerosis and put Crohn's into remission. When I first got this decice my grip strength was 60 lb. It's been two years since my FMT. I'm at 137lbs. I literally never exercise. I have this exact model. I plan to max it out.
To test it properly I think you shouldn't engage other muscles. You should stand straight with the arm at a 90° angle, without leaning. (I used to do this after getting wrist surgery)
This video is a really great example of why biological men shouldn't be competing in women's sports, showing how an exceptionally strong woman has the grip strength equivalent to the average 20-30 year old male, to put down a woman that puts so much work and effort towards her goals just because people today are too scared to tell a man he can't compete in a woman's event is saddening and takes away from the respectability of the sport.
They’re called transgender women, not biological men. But yes, there should definitely be a separate category for transgender men, and one for transgender women. The estrogen makes trans women weaker than cis males, but they’re still stronger than cis females, so they require their own category.
@@BlackRosesSmellSweeter transgender women are still biological men, I have no problem addressing them in whatever pronouns they'd like to be addressed by and respecting them but there is no need to skew reality, biological male = XY and biological female = XX. When you ignore the fact that transgender women are biologically male that opens the door to normalisation of transgender women in women's sports because "they're both women" when in reality they're very distinct biologically.
@@seanzc5230 I’m not “skewing reality”, I’m telling you the correct name to call them. It’s not just about pronouns, it’s the whole language you use on the subject.
