For the log pulldown "machine" they could add a fulcrum under the log so it can be suspended over the ground a bit so they don't have to lift it every time they want to change the level, as well as something to anchor their legs to the seat so they can pull down as hard as they want without getting pulled up.

This is incredible no excuses use what you have built.
Handymen can put things together like this. They have experience, knowledge and creativity. It turned out to be a great little outdoor gym. The weather and, basically, the elements, may take it out in the not-too-distant future. But hopefully it will last a long time.
You’ve almost made/used a gym for every traditional Japanese element.
Water- you built a gym made of Ice.
Metal- a standard gym you use every day.
Wood- this whole video.
All you have left is to make a gym with Earth and Fire😂
