    I'm looking at the gen2 as an upgrade after 10 years with a baratza vario with ceramic burrs. I just changed it to new steel burrs but it's taking 35 seconds to grind a double shot. This seems like the hopper-less design will take getting used to

    I'm upgrading from the Varia VS3 and I think either the DF64V or DF Gen 2. I really like the RPM dial, but I heard that the plasma thing on the gen 2 is like essential to have less static and less flying around of coffee?
    I'd like to grind as many thigns as possible - mostly espresso I think, but I also enjoy the AeroPress, occasional Cold Brew, or turkish coffee.

    Nicely done. For espresso use only, pulling medium-medium dark traditional espresso shots with a Lever, any thoughts on which one?

    The df64 V doesn't have the plasma generator thing? And thhr df83 and the d64 gen2 will it ever get a Variable motor version?

    @espresso outlet llc other than the size are the burrs themselves different in the df64 2 and df 83 2 and does the 83 grind coarser than the 64. I do about 80% espresso and the remainder french press/clever/aeropress..

      They technically have the same range. Either will do what you are looking for.

    Which grinder 64 v2 vs 83 v2 : with stock burrs difference in taste AND can you grind COARSER with the stock burrs in the 64 v2 or 83 v2 ?

    For DF64 gen 2 with DF64V, is DF64V better? Somehow DF64V not only an upgrade but also adjustable rpm speed to maximum to 1800, while DF64 gen 2 constant 1400 rpm.

    Comparing to DF64 gen2 stock burr, does DF83 gen2 stock burr perform much better quality coffee for espresso?

    • @EspressoOutlet
      @EspressoOutlet  10 месяцев назад

      Not an easy thing to answer, because both sets of stock burrs are more geared towards espresso. For me, the larger burrs are fantastic.

    i have df83, does it make sense buying df64v? im just using it for espresso only

      if you have the 83, I don't see what your gaining going smaller. Especially for only espresso. If wanting a second brew only grinder, it might be a nice addition!

    budget 900, only pull-over coffee, need brightness, df64v change burr to SSP RS MP is better choice???

    • @EspressoOutlet
      @EspressoOutlet  16 дней назад +1

      Not sure if I totally follow, but will throw a few things out.
      If only pour over DF64V with MP is great. DF83 with MP will also be great. I don't like 64 cast for anything much, for 83 cast, can be good, but tends to be sweeter for some coffees which I don't really consider brightness. I don't recommend cast.
      Id go MP in either grinder. Don't expect it to be the end all for espresso, espresso MP is quite limited to origins.

      @@EspressoOutlet tks.
      I only use for filter coffee, no espreso.
      Many people recommended the Fuji Royal r220, but I want to buy a newer kind machine.
      It sounds like I can confidently buy the DF64V with the SSP MP burrs.

    Wait, when you say ”We took a fan favourite and made it better" are you saying you are the makers of this grinder? I thought it was a Chinese manufacturer design and build and you are a reseller

      We work with the manufacturer on feedback and design. Certain elements such as implementing the ion generator was promoted by Espresso Outlet.
