I feel like Instagram is dead at the moment, my reach is so low it makes me so demotivated
It is not you! I have friends that were super popular on instagram and knew how to grow it but suddenly got worse and worse as instagram doesn't want accounts to grow unless you paid them. They will keep blaming people not the platform. Just think about who owns instagram? Same person owns Facebook. Both platforms need you as a public more than you need them.

THANK YOU. I realized the BTS was an issue as really it was other people in my industry that were like "wow love that edit..." It is a bit maddening knowing that it "performs" better, but really it isn't talking to the audience that will hire me. I am starting a fresh brand across channels to help me focus on client content... I love my personal friends and followers... but they are not going to hire me for product photography lol Always appreciate how much you share and the thoughtful insights you hand out. Thank you!
I believe the 30 minute prior and 30 minute before commenting engaging etc. that works for me. that is in a sense, I will click the hashtags I used and randomly like and comment on people post. I noticed some will come to my page and comment and like my latest post too. I want to keep that one, the others I will stop doing lol. this is great advice

This is truly iconic. I’ve been feeling like my social media’s been stuck for a very long time, especially now that I am a young adult slowly shifting from undergrad into postgrad life and living in my 20s. But, I think that using these tips will definitely help my personal brand in the future, as well as my content pillars and target audience!

Great info thanks! I’m a voice actor/ talent I feel like the lines really blur for content to go directly to my target audience and not more voice artist so I can relate.

The last mistake is huge. Comparison is usually unproductive! The other I find crucial is create content for people, not for the algo or for yourself. Great video, Katie 🙂

Number two is what killed my home baking business but it’s OK I have since shut it down and moved onto my other passion witches outdoor and floral photography so thank you for all the great advice on social media because it’s helping to grow my new venture

Mistake number 2 is my biggest sin, I admit it. I'm a full time artist and I my content revolved around me creating my art - because it was the most organic and interesting thing for me to do. But to be honest, now that I think of it..I have no idea how to appeal to people who are potential painting buyers..I also feel that maybe these people could also be interested in seeing how the paintings are created, to feel the real connection with the artist and the art? I have no idea how to address this problem 👀
