    Bella Coco, when I started crocheting (years ago) it was your explanations that made it easy. I have friends who want to learn crocheting and I always refer them to you because your pace and demonstration is on point. Thank you and keep doing your thing.

    Thank you so much for always remembering to mention the U.S. names for crochet stiches as you go along! It's so much easier to follow along if I don't also have to reference a U.K. to U.S. stitch chart.
    Your stitches always look beautiful and very well defined. Great for learning (and for the aesthetic of your finished projects)!
    I appreciate what you do, thanks again!

    Great illustration. I was taught your stitch is called the double half crochet stitch (dhc) wherein you yarn over and pull thru once, then pull thru 2 stitches and hold. So it's an incomplete double crochet. I prefer your pattern than the popcorn stitch that I've been using for baby blankets. Thanks for the very clear and precise instructions.

    LOVE this stich, as well as the waffle stitch. Currently torn between them as I know the waffle stitch is a yarn eater. I have 7x200g cakes that I'm planning to use, that'd be enough for a double-bed blanket in waffle stitch right? Only thing about the cluster stitch that bothers me is the gap at the end of the rows.

    Hello Bella coco. I had been following your great tuturial for this stitch for a baby blanket all in white but now I would like to do a few rows as pattern but making the cluster rows in blue as a border.
    Problem is I can't find any written pattern or you tube help for this. I can't think how to start. Do I cut yarn then start and I don't know how to do corners for it.
    Also would I need to do 1 row to single crochet first. (I use American terms).
    I would appreciate any help, because I can't carry on and would love to get it finished.
    Many thanks. X

    • @bellacococrochet
      @bellacococrochet  4 года назад +1

      Once you have finished the blanket you can cut the yarn and fasten off before attaching your blue yarn (you can just tie it on with a knot and then chain one). I think it would help to do a round of single crochets first to give you a nice base to work from around the sides of the blanket - you can work three single crochets into each corner. You can then start making the cluster stitch around the blanket - remember the base has to be an even number. In the corners I would work three double crochets before continuing with the pattern. Hope this helps 😊

      @@bellacococrochet thank you for your reply. Sorry another question. When doing the edges where the gaps are because of the chain starting points. When doing the sc row do I go into the space, if so how many in each and then do I do sc into the sc row, if you get me or do I not go into spaces but go into the chains maybe 3 sc along

    is there a way to use this stitch for round projects like a cup cozy? :o its so pretty but I seem to think it can only be done for flat projects

    You keep saying double crochets but that is not double crochets you're doing. and how is what you did at the end of the row any different than what you were doing all the across the row, am I confused

      You may be thinking of US double crochets - I’m using UK terms where a double crochet is equivalent to a US single crochet. The row ends with two double crochets but the difference is you are not making a chain space inbetween 😊
