This by far the easiest rectangle that I have found. Thanks so much for explaining everything so well. I thought I was destined to keep on doing square blankets instead of rectangles. Thanks again.
Thankyou for your instructions. You make it so clear what to do and so easy to follow. I had never heard of the C2C rug before today. I saw one and amReally excited to start. Thanx again Jan Roesler
Bella Coco i am so glad i came back to watch this again BEFORE i started decreasing on one side....I almost went by the width across the top where the “scallops” are at as my length...WHEW!! THANK YOU FOR EXPLAINING ALL YOUR PROJECTS SO WELL!!!
Thanks so much. First time trying a C2C, and making it Square didn’t make sense for a blanket. Thank you for your CLEAR, CONCISE instructions. I look forward to checking into other Crochet tutorials from you. Thank You
THANK YOU!! I've done a few C2C rectangular blankets in the past, but it's been a while and I needed a refresher on decreasing/increasing from row to row. I fought with this the past 2 days, looking at other videos that didn't help me at all. You walked me right through it!
Thank you so much for doing this tutorial! You made it so simple! I tried to figure this out myself and had the hardest time. I looked up RUclips videos on it and watched the wrong tutorial I think, she didn’t simply this as much as you did so I just kept going in circles until I found your tutorial. This is amazing and I can finally finish the pattern I was working on, thank you!!!
Your style of teaching is just what I needed. I have been trying to figure this one out for a while now and I get confused. I am dyslexic and get so many things backward. I absolutely love your RUclips videos. Thank you so much for putting these videos out there for people like me. I will be purchasing a hooded sweatshirt as soon as we get out taxes back. Happy New Year and God Bless You. Penny from Oklahoma
Thank you for the tutorial. I am working on one and thought I was doing something wrong, I thought I would meet up with the decreasing edge. I know now that I have to decrease on the other side too. I have enjoyed watching your videos.
I know this is three years old but: 🙏 Thank you! 🙏 You have cleared me from so much confusion 😀 I swear I've frogged that one corner row at least 20 times now 😅 now I can finally continue 😀
Thank you so very much for making this video. I am doing my very first ever c2c rectangular afghan and was having a hard time visualizing how to do the maintaining size rows.
Ooh I LOVE that colour. I must get my hands on some of that chunky pots. Hope that Ella and hubby are doing well, and that you are getting a bit better too. I’ve been loving all the baby pics on Instagram 😍😘
Thank you for this tutorial. I can finally finish my c2c. I've neglected it for so long because I wasn't sure how to turn it from a square into a rectangle.
Hiya, great to see you back Hun. I've not long ago finished a c2c, so going to put this one on my project list. Hope everyone is ok. Lots of love. Xxxx
Thanks so much for this video. I just ripped out many inches of a scarf that went from the width I wanted to a very narrow strip. There was no way to sew the different widths together to make an infinity scarf and it was too far off to block into shape to match. I hesitated for a long time because the yarn has some fuzzy spots that stick together but I am glad I took it back to the c2c triangle. Now i can do it the right way with your help. The yarn is shawl in a cake and is very pretty with its long color shifts but the last try came out wrong. I will come back here and watch again if I get stuck and the straight edges go off course. Hopefully, that won't happen again. I have never done c2c crocheting before and it is always fun to learn a new stitch after 60+ years of crocheting.
Hi there, welcome back! Can you do a tutorial on how to do a c2c with some type of graphic design, a teddy bear or an owl. c2c is my favorite stitch, but I would love to create a special blanket for a gift for a family member. Thank you.
I'm not sure how I never figured out on my own to do the slip stitch when you turn instead of the chain three to get rid of the chains going down the decrease side. It looks so much better than what I have been doing. So thanks for the bonus tip.
Thank you! I just learned C2C, and I'm sitting here with half a blanket on my lap... and thinking, uhh, how do I make this rectangular?! Your video is so easy to understand!
I was really enjoying this but then I got confused. If after decreasing on one side you decrease on the other side too? One side decreases and then when do you start decrease on the other side? I need to make the rectangle 48” long.
Once you have reached the width you want you should continue to increase on one side only and decrease on the other. Once you have then reached the right length you decrease on both to finish 😊
Hello, thank you for this tutorial. Need your help. I already finished a square C2C afghan but want to know how can I add more rows to make it a rectangle. Thank you.
To make a rectangle C2C blanket you need to increase on one side but decrease on the other. If you have already made a square and don't want to start again, I would make some smaller square C2Cs and join them on 😊
To work the rectangle you should begin working your c2c as you would normally - once you’ve reached the size you want you can continue increasing on one side only, and then decrease both to finish 😊
I would double check that you're making the increase correctly and working into the right chain when you make your first stitch; if you chain one less (so your first stitch is a chain two, not a chain three) you may find that it looks straighter too 😊
Way late, but thanks so much for this video! I refer back to it whenever I mess up, or have a paranoid moment when I think I messed up because things look weird. 😋 BTW, if anyone is looking to use this stitch for something super warm and fuzzy, I'm a little over halfway done with a CTC blanket in doubled Caron Latte Cakes, and the skoosh factor is off the charts! I picked up 10 cakes of misc colorways on clearance, and it looks like the finished blanket will be 54" x 70" or so (2 doubled increase, 1 doubled extension, 2 doubled decrease).
As someone new to crochet, this was VERY helpful. I haven't crocheted since I was a teenager and am 58 now, so it's all new again and C2C wasn't a thing back then. I appreciate any help that is given.

Do I start decreasing when the project is as wide as I want it, or when it is as long as I want it? Please and thanks!
I believe as long as you want it...
@@emmaaverbeck8862 thank you. That’s what I thought too because the part she points to is the side.
I would begin to decrease once you have reached the width you want 😊

I'm having a issue with the last row before decreasing on the monster truck c2c blanket
So if im seeing this correct. I would continue to decrease one side while increasing the other side until i get to the length i want
Yes that’s correct, and then to finish you can decrease both sides as normal 😊
Hello, thank you for this tutorial. Need your help.

To make a rectangle C2C blanket you need to increase on one side but decrease on the other. If you have already made a square and don't want to start again, I would make some smaller square C2Cs and join them on 😊

does it matter when you are at the end and beginning, which direction you turn after you slip stitch?
It doesn't matter which way you turn as long as you are slip stitching back towards the unworked part of the piece 😊
Thank you so much
Thank you so much.I km Troy to do the same piece of crochet.
Do you have c2c rectangle in waffle stitch?
Hermoso!
Gracias :)
How do you measure the length?
So once I have the length I want, I begin to decrease on both sides?
Yes, once it's the length you need it to be you should decrease on both sides 😊
Where do I find the written patterns for the rectangular c2c blanket? I'm not computor literate
Sorry I don't have a written pattern for this :)
Could someone tell me does Belle have a printable pattern for the C2C rectangle?
