People are missing a point. At no point did the guy say that he earns 1 crore. He just said ki he is SDE2. In fact, at one point, he even said ki higher range of SDE 2 is 60-70 lakhs. It is wrong to assume that the guy himself earns 1 crore

Don't be aggressive over such small things. It have been named Banglore for so many years and then it's name changed back to original Bangluru. So calling it Bangalore is not wrong, most people still call it Bangalore. Kolkata was name Calcutta by British and was used for a long time, then it's name changed back to original Kolkata. Still many people call it Calcutta, and in Hindi region it's called Kalkatta. It's not wrong. Name can be different in different languages, like Japan's actual name is 'Nihon' which is called by the Japanese people, but outside it's known as Japan. China in many Indian languages is called 'Cheen". So don't make small things big.
It's good to know such high salaries are offered in India but if anyone thinks that this is the norm, then please educate yourself. Unlike the US where average salaries are high, it's very low in India. Looking at outlier people can only give short term entertainment.
For Tier-1 graduates with 10+ year exp 50-60 lakh is becoming normal. Starting level salary is peanut though for average graduate. But 5+ year exp 20-25 lakh is normal in product company.

You don't require specialization..A strong Programming knowledge.. problem solving... Data Structures, Algorithm then system design that will what requires for getting good job don't jump to these fascinating specialization only do basic key till fancy level
look this is a new trend started by tier 3 colleges to attract/fool students that they will be focusing on certain domain if they choose certain specialization. but in reality everyone will be studying the same thing, same subject throughout you B.Tech degree. So don't get fooled by it.
yes it is you can pick ML instead of AI because AI jobs are so much skilled jobs, ML also but ML had many jobs its same like data science little differ so you can apply for data science positions too.

@@Theactualstoic Dude you got it all wrong IB and Hedge Fund, these along with Private Equity and M&A are the major finance roles post MBA and thus highly competitive. Since I have been working with Blackrock for the Hedge Fund division for the past 1.5 years let me tell you one thing yes you will find few engineer undergrads but during recruitment CAs, CFAs and Finance and Commerce undergrads from major colleges are the ones who have a upper hand for these roles as these with it's valuations and deductions require high quantitative ability and are math heavy, so companies prefer candidates with quant background and engineers having deep finance skills are a blessing. But still CAs and SRCC or SXC grads are valued more over be it IITians or NITians.
