I assume that, since they are both working, they only have time to spend with their child on weekends and holidays. However, this is the lifestyle they are striving to maintain, and it's exactly what I am trying to avoid. I've been working hard for the past 10 years to save enough to start something back in my hometown where my entire family and relatives live. My wife and I want to move there and start a family. We've invested heavily towards this lifestyle, having purchased a 2 bigha land and constructed a 3 bhk farmhouse with ample space to grow crops, raise chickens, and enjoy the clean air and pure water. We've even hired people to take care of the gardening and chickens. With all our relatives nearby, we can spend all the time we want with our kids while enjoying fresh, juicy homegrown veggies.

The number one reason, you are able to land in such companies with such high salaries is NETWORKING, NOT YOUR SKILL SET. I have seen the dumbest of students in my class who couldn't put 2 and 2 together land in such companies because they had extroverted personalities with good communication skills and confidence in bullshitting about learning and keeping updated with new technical skills.
Skills do not matter, the only thing that matters are your networking skills.

Dude there is a limit. One can only cook at a few houses, and the real problem is physical work, as you have to be walking or standing up all day, with the constant thought that food has to taste good, else they may lose their job. Also, kitchens are usually hot and humid and they cook twice a day for all, so I doubt they can work for more than 5 houses a day.
