    Good to see you put in a decent amount of filling. Often I find ones at markets are under filled but have thick casings, so they suck.

    Thank you for the recipe. I made these last night and they were bomb. I used coconut milk instead of the coconut cream because that is all I had and they came out perfect. Thank you again. Manuia

      Thanks for your comment👍🏽 I was going to ask if anyone tried it with the 2 cans of coconut milk instead of cream because we too don’t have coconut cream.

  • @TamaSifaga

    I made this yesterday and it turned out great. the taste of the coconut cream in the dough brought back childhood memories. The dough is a keeper and the filling I can play with the texture and flavour. I ran out of filling as well so need to play with amount of filling. Thankyou for your video, clear instructions. Liked and subscribed. I love how you explain each step in detail. I fail at baking even if i follow recioes to the minute detail. I will be trying your recipe for the next family get together and if it doesn't turn out, then baking just isn't my thing, I guess lol!

    Well done! I really enjoyed watching your take on the Pai fala, I will definitely be giving this ago. Very detailed and explained so well, keep sharing your recipes because your super awesome with explaining. I have trouble with cutting the dough, they are either too big or small...lol Can't wait to watch more. Thank you

    • @lifewitha-family8194
      @lifewitha-family8194  4 года назад +1

      Thanks for your comment Maata. I think it is all a bit of trial and error, but you could try rolling out some of the dough and cutting around a small plate to get the size you are wanting, or if you want your pai fala to be a uniform size. I just try and cut dough into equal sized portions and then roll it the size I’m wanting.

    Thank you for this! I’ve been looking for a good pai fala recipe, and this one is so clear to follow and looks yum😍
    Just a question, if I use a conventional oven, would I turn the heat up a bit? Maybe 200-210 Celsius?
    Can’t wait to try making this!🙌🏼

    • @lifewitha-family8194
      @lifewitha-family8194  3 года назад +1

      Yes, you could do that Naomi. But I always just keep an eye on them and take them out when they are the colour we like them. My husband prefers them a bit darker/crispier than me and the kids. All ovens are a bit different anyway so best to just observe and adjust temperature accordingly.

    Looks lovely but I think instead of using cornstarch why not try out the custard powder..much more attractive colour rather than pale uninviting off white fillings..just saying.
