Thank you Aunty. My mom made these pies while growing up and I never stuck around to watch how she did it. I made it for the first time back home in Dallas and it came out so good. I used a little crisco oil in the dough. Everyone is now asking to make it constantly. So now I’m vacationing in Hawaii, visiting my family and it’s been requested, again. It’s a challenge between my 2 sisters and I, who can make it better or at least close to my moms pies. Guess what, I WON! Thanks to you and my love for MOM’s pies, I am over whelmed by my family’s request.
(So much for vacationing) hehehe.

I’ve been craving half moon pie all night last night and now this morning. I came here looking for the recipe . I’ve seen others but then their pineapples are not well crushed ..and now I have found this... it looks exactly like the pies that my dad always buy for me back at the island every morning. Thank you for this. Now I gotta go try it🤤💘

My husband loves these half moon pies and it brings back fond men of him always buying one for his Mama and then we would get scoldings from my Father.in.law because she was diabetic and he had her on a strict diet. 😂 This video had me and my hubby lol 😂 for real.
