Would be nice to have streets and wagons roads but although it’s a good start to a full economy and be nice to increase the size of the menu text for those that are not 20/20 👁️
In Cities Skylines these would be props. Think of what we would put up around our model RRs. Starting to look promising. Glad ya have new content and just tier reviews. HAPPY. how bout you? Same I guess?
The signs are a given, but being able to put props down in a railroad/business simulator seems to be an odd step... one I am whole heartedly here for! But def a random side step. Still really cool though! I do have to ask, is this update just on Beta branch only, or is it in the official game? Looking forwards to the future updates. I made a comment about wanting a roundhouse and/or being able to convert current wood burners to coal burners (I refuse to trade in my 10 Cooke 2-8-0's. I love those things). I believe I was told that I would be "looking forwards to a soon to come update," so hoping one or the other or both are finally coming down the pipeline.
One huge positive with the signs is marker points as a reference when shunting in to load up. you can figure out how to line up your cars MUCH easier now
4:24 it looks like when you select the sign, an almost invisible text box appears right above the selection box. I guess that's how you would customize them.
I hope one day they add Anaka and/or Myrtle from the Lahaina, Ka'anapali and Pacific Railroad in Hawaii, and maybe their King Kalakaua (or something) passenger cars too.
I get the feeling that this update is an update that's getting them ready and getting everyone else ready four-passenger cars because why else would they give us buildings and stuff like that if they weren't planning on giving us some sort of passenger car to use?
@@AardvarkGames-YT true. But I've been wanting to see passenger cars for a while and I am hopeful that this is a step towards this. Even though I can't play the game anymore due to lacking a laptop that is capable of running the game, it will still be fun to see you and others mess around with passenger trains.
It would be nice if they added like 1910s and 1920s automobiles, they could actually drive or horses, that can actually pull carriages and you can edit them and give them specific routes along with the cars
This looks really great, just to bad its not in the Legacy branch. Guess thats what I get for having a slow computer, haha Looking forward to see what people will do with all of this. Maybe some sort of passenger runs will be added soon, or a new map. Seems, to me, like one of the better updates. Finally something else than the engine sheds can be used for decorational purposes. And the signs, been waiting for that kinda since the game came out. Just hope there arent to many, if any, new bugs with all the new stuff. Looking forward to see pictures in your discord about peoples creativity for decorating their maps. 10/10 points for this

i have a problem with the signs. the demolish tool doesnnt seem to remove them, and i accidentaly placed one on the track, and trains collide with them. but i dont want to move my yard.
@@AardvarkGames-YT I'm not sure how I find out. Looks like main to me,...so the buildings update is only for beta then. Sorry just started the game yesterday. Much learning, so thanks for the videos

Nobody will play this mess when century of steam releases. They're going to lose all their players. Century of steam already sounds and looks 1000000x better.
For the text signs, you select from the list and then right above the drop down, you add your text and then select the image.
Love that the game is back to the potential it was before the drama. So glad that they kept going :)

Just logged on to check. Definitely only on the beta branch. I guess I’m going to have to wait a little longer for signs 😢

I can see signs being really handy to mark places to stop trains for loading, where grades start, stuff like that!

When you pick the text sign there is a text box that pops up right above the prop name.
