Popped to Egypt, saw some rocks, got food poisoning, all in a days work really! Would appreciate you dropping a sub if you haven't as we try push towards 100k, massive thank you for the support lately!
I’m so glad the algorithm suggested a video of yours 2 days ago. I’ve really enjoyed binge watching your stuff. I love your sense of humour, opinions and banter. I’m sure you’ll get to 100k subs in no time!
I like how you kept your usual dry humor while remaining completely respectful of the country/culture. Also completely agree about tourists. Seems like some people never got education.
Awesome vlog.. Very professional, and as usual hilarious! You always keep it real Ed, cheers me up no end lol..I see your subs are racing ahead, excellent well deserved..
Bless you Ed. Great video as always. Love your honesty and funny comments. I feel bad that you got food poisoning at the end of your trip. Was this something you ate out there, or on the plane? Keep the videos coming, we love you
I've never understood this insane modern trend for glass walled bathrooms. Much as we may love our partners i don't think any of us want to watch them opening their bowels. Even if you're travelling alone, I sort of don't really want to see my bed when I'm doing that either.
I agree, it's really quite odd to have glass walls in a bathroom. If sharing a room, the two options would be - 1) facing the other direction whilst the other person used the toilet or showered or 2) leaving the room until the other person was finished in there! I like my privacy ;-))
Another amazing video as always mate, well done for trying the culture and stuff aswell, would love to go to egypt but im a bit skeptical, keep up the great work :)
Great video Ed! Funnily enough I live in a city with some Pyramids (it was a leisure centre, now soft play centre). They didn't go for stone though, more of a concrete and glass mix. Egypt's are better.
I think this might be the first time you've said wow, incredible and actually subtly enjoyed yourself and the experience rather than being a cynical British human xD
I love your honesty Ed ❤ Not my cup of tea but really interesting to see what it was all like, excellent idea to have a guide too. Sorry about the food poisoning, that arse hose would have come in really handy!
Don’t remember much from my trip to Egypt as a young-un. But my dad always reminds me about when the tour guide took us into the pyramid and I was following directly behind the guide and I kept complaining to my dad that the guides bum smells 😂
I've been going to Egypt since my teenage years in the early 2000s and it's a fascinating, vibrant place that u just have to get used to(I'm east euro/balkan so less easily shocked maybe lol), definitely the place in the Middle East/North Africa where I've encountered the worst haggling with trying to get u to go in stores, buy stuff, etc but u get used to that too. Usually I stay right in the area of the egyptology museum, u can walk around there, cross the bridge into zamalek island, etc. Definitely should try some proper Egyptian food, especially proper falafel, so good! There's some cool pyramids not far from Cairo that are very cool, the step pyramid obvs very cool but my favorite is one that last I went still had almost no tourists there, red pyramid I think it's called, cooler inside too.
We went on honeymoon from Sharm for the day. Had the tour guide who knew the right people to bribe to go into the smaller pyramids which is usually out of limits. Got the 💩 which is pretty usual and ate on a TGI on the Nile. Also 4 lanes of traffic on the main road but 6 cars wide and only tried to merge to avoid the concrete central reservation that was over the outside lane
2:23 no, what happened is that the pyramids used to have an outer casing of smooth stone, and the bit visible today was all on the inside being held in place. Of course, people being people, once the Pharaoh that commissioned it had died and their kids weren’t on the throne either, people nicked the stone because it's pre-quarried. Meaning you're looking at the inside.
Could have gone on holiday for this money lol, £90 holiday inn room I just stayed in looked pretty much the same, had a bath, FREE water/snacks, AND I was allowed the freedom of drawing my own curtains 🤣🤣🤣
Fun fact. The "arse hose" is not at home because they are not allowed. The water companies banned them because they state it has chance to backwash and contaminate the water. It's ironic really, considering they do a good job at contaminating the water themselves. You can however workaround this by having the device for purposes of cleaning your floor only.
I got food poisoning on my first night, despite staying in a 4 star hotel and being mega careful. That was a long time ago, in 1990 when I was 17. But it was so awful that I've never forgotten it, it did kind of ruin the holiday as I was there for 10 days and couldn't really face food. I lived on bananas.
"You're never going to look at those photos again Sandra" This hit home. Not so much for real photos, but for game screenshots. The amount of screenshots I have taken in Genshin Impact alone is completely off the charts. In my defense it's a very nice looking game. But no I will never look at them ever again really. And there are too many to sort through. It's completely pointless. With one exception: I set my desktop background to my Genshin screenshot folder. So I do see them again. Some of them.
Mostly in the U.S. you don't see the poverty up close but America has pockets that are pretty bad too. Mostly our poverty shows up as homeless people, and usually in very wealthy cities. I lived in San Francisco until 2010 and saw it often. Not usually small dirty children, they'd probably get scooped up and put in some sort of care, better or not, if they weren't hidden away in some terrible home.
The pyramids were originally covered in a smooth layer of white limestone and gave its surface a perfect sloping smooth finish that gleamed white in the sunlight. 🔼
I do love the fact that you can go and visit somethings that were built over 5,000 years ago. I do not like that they allow people to get close enough to climb all over it. These relics should be preserved and be protected from people and not have a KFC right across the way. Mankind always will find a way to ruin things and it is kind of sad. I would love to of seen them back 5,000 years ago before the area was built up in modern times and geared for tourist.
I had the shits when I went to that museum and they had a person in the toilet who you had to pay for toilet roll so I convinced him to give me a full roll and I'd come back with some money for him but then never did 🤦♂️😂
Yep, this video doesn't show all 3 nights I was there but I got pretty ill on my last day and in particular on the flight back which wasn't nice at all
Tbf you don't need to bring that much, get a revolut card so you can waive exchange fees and just use ATMs. You'll always find way more ATMs than you will exchange shops. It's good to bring some cash though, around the start of the month/some weekends it can be hard to find an ATM that works because it's payday and everyone is withdrawing money at the same time.
The average UK wage is 30,000? I just checked this and you're not far off, apparently it's £35,000. Honestly shocked though, I don't know a single person earning that - I just got my degree (and student debt) and then got a minimum wage job. 🙃
This is 100% legit, the reason why they are all on the phone is beacuse of the driving test over there, It's six metres forward and then reverse six metres back, 8-10 questions and boom passed... 😂😂
Popped to Egypt, saw some rocks, got food poisoning, all in a days work really! Would appreciate you dropping a sub if you haven't as we try push towards 100k, massive thank you for the support lately!

Absolutely disgusted with Currys. Just bought a new 75" TV to watch the Premier League next season but it's come with no Leeds 🤬😂😂😂😂😂
It's a tough life, ed. Lol. Good video!
I like how you kept your usual dry humor while remaining completely respectful of the country/culture. Also completely agree about tourists. Seems like some people never got education.
I’m convinced Ed is RUclips’s Karl Pilkington
With a touch of Jim from Friday night dinner.
Ed just can’t do wrong - always a good day when there’s a new video!
Awesome vlog.. Very professional, and as usual hilarious! You always keep it real Ed, cheers me up no end lol..I see your subs are racing ahead, excellent well deserved..
Ever see Best Ever Food Review Show’s Egypt video? A fascinating look at how Egyptian officials handle tourist vlogging and tourism media generally.
Bless you Ed. Great video as always. Love your honesty and funny comments. I feel bad that you got food poisoning at the end of your trip. Was this something you ate out there, or on the plane?
Keep the videos coming, we love you
If will from the inbetweeners went on a solo holiday this is deffo it 🤣 class man

This looks really cool, I like how you still keep it real with everything 👍🏼 great video
Another amazing video as always mate, well done for trying the culture and stuff aswell, would love to go to egypt but im a bit skeptical, keep up the great work :)
Sad you didn't show the Mc D's and KFC right next to the pyramids 😂😂
Great video Ed! Funnily enough I live in a city with some Pyramids (it was a leisure centre, now soft play centre). They didn't go for stone though, more of a concrete and glass mix. Egypt's are better.

Fair play to Ed for doing this on how own! Great vid.
YES!!! I’ve been waiting 😍🥳
I don't know why I found the disclaimer that you had never ridden a camel before so funny. Good stuff Ed!
Don’t remember much from my trip to Egypt as a young-un. But my dad always reminds me about when the tour guide took us into the pyramid and I was following directly behind the guide and I kept complaining to my dad that the guides bum smells 😂
Such an underrated youtuber
Some of the worst traffic I've ever experienced is in Egypt and I've been on the north circular at mid-afternoon.
I subbed not too long ago and you're very funny!! I'll continue to watch your content!!
Thank you :)

Yesssss a true view on Egypt ❤🎉

"We've got an arse hose" 😂😂😂 "I've used the arse hose. Yeah, it was good. Probably one of the best things about this trip" 🤣😂🤣
Could have gone on holiday for this money lol, £90 holiday inn room I just stayed in looked pretty much the same, had a bath, FREE water/snacks, AND I was allowed the freedom of drawing my own curtains 🤣🤣🤣

On my one and only trip to Egypt I got food poisoning on my last night... I feel your pain Ed

Thank you ed for great content amazing work
Flew all the way to Egypt and still typically British, love it
where's the petition to sign up for the ass hose for the uk?
Always good to rinse out the clagnuts and dangle berries
Anyone know if Ed's related to Karl Pilkington? 😂
You should have visited the Tutenkamum room when you were at the Cairo museum.
4:56 did you say caustraphobic or claustrophobic?
This is going to be good! 👍
"You're never going to look at those photos again Sandra"

literally no one cares
Love the video good one especially so far from home too.
I mean Leeds would allow a pyramid, if they could turn it into a 24/7 McDonald’s. Can imagine security loving that one!

Never mind the camel, maybe they should rename the Sphinx Michael Jackson seeing as its nose has fallen off!
Good one! R.I.P. MJ

He's the Giza 2 to Keep Calm & Cairo ON!!!!
What an advert for Egypt, " Come here, and pray you don't die in a car crash."

Gonna have to go to Palenque mate. The pyramid there has something inside.
I thought he was Bear Gills going down that tunnel
I had the shits when I went to that museum and they had a person in the toilet who you had to pay for toilet roll so I convinced him to give me a full roll and I'd come back with some money for him but then never did 🤦♂️😂

4:20 that’s just far away father
banger of a video Ed, did you really get food poisoning?
Yep, this video doesn't show all 3 nights I was there but I got pretty ill on my last day and in particular on the flight back which wasn't nice at all
Yess lad!
And another question how much actually cash wise should you bring

Climbing the rocks is a two year sentence in cairo jail
where you recieve daily beatings and electric shocks
Liar. Its 500 fine english money , google it
12:57 Its a weapon of ass destruction I think.
Maybe it was built by Aliens on a Back To Work Scheme. They wouldn't give a toss what it looked like.

"It looks like a giant sand castle" 😂
Recent subscriber, but between the camel ride and 10 day challenge last year his poor arse has been through the ringer. 🍑 🐪 🐫 😜🤣
Surprised there was enough stuff for a museum in Egypt an it wasn’t all took by the British Empire
I need to know Ed, did you wash your hands after touching the top of the arse hose 😂
how do you say sausage roll and a bottle of water in egyptian?
They need a Greggs!
Have they got Costa coffee and a subway inside them yet lol 😂
This is 100% legit, the reason why they are all on the phone is beacuse of the driving test over there, It's six metres forward and then reverse six metres back, 8-10 questions and boom passed... 😂😂
I can think of people that would still manage to fail that test.
one of the most beautiful places on earth. Sadly ran by scammers.
Beautiful? Lol
It looks like a barren wasteland
This was excellent, thankyou. Bought you a pizza (just one, mind)
Thank you so much Hilary that's very kind!
He is the first adult to ride Michael Jackson
So, the Pyramids were better than Stonehenge then?
Or Benidorm?
You should colab with adams rotten rooms :)
Literally watching this reaching my lunch and was just putting a piece of quiche in my mouth at anus bleeding 😂
If we had a pyramid over here it would be turned into flats 😂
this geeza is the 2024 Karl Pilkington
at the start i wondered if you'd bump into Michael Jackson. that's the same camel Dale Phillip's rode
Okay only 6 more wonders to go!
Will you please do Paris one day?
been twice, there's already two videos on it :)
I will check them out presently.
I do apologize. I must've watched one of them while I was drunk one late night.
Any chance you could visit the Sandbanks hotel in Bournemouth?
Boots water, wonder if Ed got an airport meal deal.
