Him, Bobbie Knight, and IU are all Indiana's Claims to Fame. I'm from The Calumet Region or just "The Region". I can just look at him and recognize someone from the Farm belt of the Midwest like Indiana. He really does sound great in each cut I've heard and he looks to be in pretty good health. He still moves all over the stage. Still got a lot of energy. We're all proud of Mellencamp's achievements.

The people who were there included former players, other coaches with whom he worked and media so, Mr. Fred, you are in the acute minority. It was unbelievable how many former players credit Knight with making them pull the best out of themselves by his coaching techniques. And if having a bad temper was used to discredit all public figures we would have almost no public figures including many current well known sports giants.
The good ol' days when performers invited people to come on stage and not risked being attacked. On that note, JM sounds just as good live as the record.
