Welcome to the beautiful state of Hidalgo!
We FINALLY made it to the Grutas de Tolantongo! After more than three years of exploring Mexico, we finally made it to this magical place! You must try "pastes", the typical food of miners. There are tons of pastes places everywhere throughout Hidalgo. There is a big chain called "Pasteko" that sells a delicious one of potatoes and meat. Also...cajeta and pecans..Need we say more?!
If you are staying in Pachuca, see if you can catch a soccer game! There is a local team there and the stadium is near town! Tickets are only $50 pesos ($2.70 USD) and we had so much fun cheering on the home team!
Finally, if you're looking for a little day trip, head to Real del Monte for the day! This is an old mining town where Cornish people were sent for their mining talents in the 1800s. The town is windy, charming, and quiet. Here, you can taste "enchiladas mineras" which are...so so yummy! Taxi fare from Pachuca to Real del Monte is $200 pesos $10.80 USD) and takes about 30 minutes.

Omg guys! Wow it’s so beautiful there. I’ve been to Mexico many times but never seen anything like this place. Time to do my research and visit this place. The water was so blue, it didn’t look real! Thanks for the video.
Been there its so beautiful water it do warm, thermowater. Its only 3 hours frkm mexico city. Its $120 pesos per car to get into this gem its called Tolantongo HIDALGO most amazing place on earth. Been to a few places this unreal. Very very affordable. Has tons of natural Jacuzzis. By the hotel. But you need to get there by 6:00 to reserve a room. They dont do on line reservations. Only in person and its only cash inside restaurant s very cheap great food, you can rent tents and grills if you dont get a room, available and its amazing.

You guys are my favorite people on the internet. I follow you guys since the early Vallarta days in 2016. I left Mexico that year to start my PhD in Canada, and your videos always make me feel better through tough times, especially when I miss my family and home. I kept watching not only because you produce quality content, but because your love for Mexico and each other is contagious. I'm from Pachuca so seeing you finally visiting my hometown is particularly special to me. Thank you for everything you do, Kennons! I truly appreciate you, even though we've never met, although after watching you everyday for so long makes me sometimes feel like I do :P. Come back to enjoy Hidalgo again!!
You guys are living a dream life, that almost everyone wish to live.
YOU ARE THE BEST. 👍
What a beautiful adventure y’all. Thanks for sharing.

Hidalgo! Another place to add to our must see list in Mexico!
What is taking you so long??? we will welcome you anywhere in our country!
DURANDURAN We have been stuck in a rut for the past 3 years and have limited our travel to exploring the Yucatán. We love your country, the places and people. Hidalgo next!
I live in Hidalgo. You could visit piramids in Tula, Tolantongo, xoxafi, Real del monte, Huasca, and more places.
Adrian Sanchez Hernandez Coming from California, what airport do you fly into? Our trip is set for 2020 but are already making our 2021 plans. Thank you for your suggestions!
@@trudybauman7045 the nearest airport is Benito Juárez in México City. Pachuca is located 92 kilometers at north, around 2 hours from México City, and Tolantongo is about 2 hours traveling from Pachuca.
I get very emotional when I see all I am missing of my beloved México. However, I truly enjoy my country through your videos!! Kudos to you guys and please enjoy México as much as I enjoy your videos!!!
I have been watching you both for a very long time. I love the content of your videos. And both of you are warm, sincere, open and wonderful young people! I live in Mexico now. Merida. I used to live in Denver. I am Puerto Rican. But I want to become a Mexican citizen in a few years. I love Mexico and its people and its nature and its culture! QUE VIVA MEXICO! People like the Kennons are the best! Texans with big hearts. Hope you always keep your sense of adventure!

This makes me sooo happy! I have spent so much time in Hidalgo. Feels like I'm going back home by watching, even though I'm not from there.
Is your home.anytime welcome you.
I remember when I started to watch your videos a couple of years ago and I was like : "I would recommend to visit this or that place", but now, you know more states and cities than I do of my own country, which is yours too.
My wife and I traveled to San Miguel de Allende , Guanajuato City and Puerto Vallarta this past January. It was an amazing experience. We sure are coming back, fell in love with Puerto Vallarta. Your videos inspired us and just want to say keep doing what you doing and wish you nothing but the best.
I did a road trip with my daughter and granddaughter, we spent 2 night there,, it is an amazing place, definitely going back. The weekends does get pack and also on "puentes" Mexican Holidays. The small pools are closed on Wednesday for cleaning.
That place looks awesome guys. Thanks for taking us with you. 🇨🇦
Wow... I thought the Cenote you went to previously was the most beautiful thing I'd seen, but wait a minute...not so fast. This week's little trip to Hildago takes the cake. Literally breathtaking. Must add to the ol' bucket list! Thanks so much for taking us along and sharing the treasures of Mexico. Love you guys!
Ignoring the death towers in background during the state choosing.....this is my favorite video of yours yet. You two are by far, the best Move To Mexico channel IMO.

Mexico has such beauty around every corner. Was in Hidalgo myself a few years ago and the archeological site of Tula is a must see and such a hidden gem...
British miners brought soccer to Mexico. So Hidalgo is considered the craddle of it. The 'pastes' are similar to English pastry. The edge of the bread helped the miners to hold it while they worked. Great video, gringos, as always.
Que chingon lugar simple mente vellesa de naturaleza
Didi Westrup what year was this?
@@daniellozada3408 It was at the end of the 1800's. Not sure exactly what year was that, but you might find out in the history of Mexico 's soccer. There's a museum on the subject in Pachuca, capital city of the state of Hidalgo.
Didi Westrup very interesting I didn’t know that. All these time I thought it was adopted from the Spaniards.
@@daniellozada3408 Yes, Daniel, Hidalgo was one of the most important mining sites, so the English heritage seems to be present. Also, the circus was brought from England by a clown. There's much to learn about Hidalgo state, for sure. I am no expert so I'll find out more about these topics too. Saludos desde Cancún .

We ran into you last year at San Miguel de Allende, we took a picture with you.
Sonora has beautiful beaches, my wife and I were married in Puerto Penasco. I would recommend that beach in May, we will be there!
You to are going to have some great Memories that will last till the end so cool you guys are a great item!!
Looks like they pour the water from a beach in Cancun.
Amigos, I really enjoy watching your videos. Thanks for showing us the beauty of Mexico, thanks for being so kind.!! We love you 👍🏻🤗❤️🤝
Love watching your videos , you both are truly authentic and wonderful people. Thanks for shining in a world that sometimes seems a bit dark.
NIIIIIICE! You two really know how to Mexico!
The Cornish history in Mexico is a surprise to many (like the Mennonites in Sonora and many others).
Glad you enjoyed Hidalgo, it is one of Mexico's many hidden gems.
Good video guys, you have really improved in how you put them together. Slo-mo footage was beautiful and romantic. There wasn't a boring segment in the whole video and it had a very nice pass to it as well. Congrats on a job well done. Your love for Mexico is infectious.
Wow. This place is incredibly beautiful. Love the pretty colors and architecture too, and you already know I would love the food. Fantastic place to visit.

From what I know Pastys were brought over from England by the English miners & the Mexicans adopted it.
Jabalí= wild boar🐗
I was introduced to Pasties in the upper peninsula of Michigan! They are a Cornish/Flemish creation! Very cool they are made in this part of Mexico! Gozar!

Great video guys! 👌🏽🤙🏽
Greetings from Chicago. Barbacoa and pastes are specialties of Hidalgo. Pastes originated from Real Del Monte where my grandfather was born and my great grandfather immigrated to from Spain. My family makes pastes from scratch for the holidays since they’re hard to come by here in Chicago.
Los weros Texanos. pero mas Mexicanos !! 😎
Son igualmente Mexicanos!

Hi again, guys! I'm moving to Mexico with my entire family and I show your videos to my girls (ages 14, 12, and 10). Your videos motivate us to move over there. I grew up in San Juan del Rio, Queretaro; but my kids grew up in the States. So, this is a big step for them. I hope you visit San Juan del Rio one of these days and make one of your cool videos. There are quite a few haciendas in the area and you can tour them. Take care!
Amazing video guys
I know Puerto Vallarta is your confort zone, but when you go out of there you
put more excitement to the whole thing.
My first time finding you. Definitely a new subscriber. So much fun. Love your personalities. You make me want to go to places in Mexico I have never been before.💕

I agree the most beautiful destinations are hard to get too. I’m scared of highs and mountains 🏔😿.
What a beautiful place is so charming, the color of the water reminds me of Cancun
You guys are truly my favorite you tubers!!
I had found feelings seeing this beauty of a place and thanks to your amazing editing and story telling I’m ready for Hidalgo 😁
Pocitas are thermal water too, so they are not cold. Love this place, but avoid weekends like the plague because it gets super packed!
It reminded me of Hidalgo in your opening video. I traveled to El Gieser, Isla Tzibanza, Tequiquiapan just this past December. But I thought you went to Hidalgo while you were living in Queretaro. I wanted to go to Tolantango, but my friend preferred to stay closer to her home in QRO.
Amazing video 🤩
This is amazing! Wow!!
The scenes of your traveling have gotten really good. Like sitting in a bus, which isnt super flashy, but is often a large part of traveling. I'd even suggest trying to film some scenes of what you do to pass the time on long bus trips
This is the first video I watch from you and I totally LOVED your energy. Ive been in Totlantongo before and your video gave me a different perspective of Hidalgo. You made it look so beautiful and welcoming and tasty. I love to watch expats videos traveling and experiencing my country in a beautiful level aside from the negativity of the media.
