Nice video, I was there last year. It was Extremely hot, so much so that no one, including the locals, goes outside between about 11 to 4 pm. But very beautiful area.

The Oaxacan coast looks nicer than Sayulita
The beaches in Oaxaca go on for miles. You can walk for hours and not see another person.

Happy to see you guys made it back to PE. We spend our winters there in the Rinconada area. We started watching your adventures when you were there the first time. We have some great restaurant options if you’re interested. Enjoy.
Heading there for a few days in December with friends - looking at tours, hotels, airbnb's now. What a beautiful place to winter! I'm up for anything if you want to share!
We spend our winters right where you are in the Rinconada. The locals call the month of May, 'Hell' month because the rains haven't started yet. Carrizalillo is my "happy" place. Love your VLOGs.

Been there! Loved it! You could spend all day watching those great surfers catch and ride those waves! Don't swim till 2 hrs after eating, is definitely a Mexican ol wife tale! My parents and grandparents were sticklers for that rule, so we wouldn't let them know when we ate, we would wait half hour or so, but not 2 hrs!

Can you compare guys Puerto Escondido to Sayulita and Puerto Vallarta? Both for fast and slow traveling /living. Also Queretaro nowadays is pretty popular. I was condidering living in Mexico for some time (Vancouver Canada got way too pricey), however I cannot stand heat over 28C for a long time unless I am swimming (love turquoise sea and swimming, have never lived near the sea where I can swim often).
Cinnamon rolls are the best. You did great Greg, good balance but are we going to see Hillary surfing.

I remember Playa Zicatela having a strong undertow, which was frightening. I can't remember if it had riptides? I just ended up going to Playa Marinero for the most part.

3:56 Normally surfers are known for throwing hissyfits when you collide with them, but considering Greg looks like a smaller Ivan Drago I don't think too many people (unless they train in MA or MMA) would probably mess with him.
The waves in Puerto Escondido (Playa Zicatela) can be so dangerous the authorities will prohibit surfing when the waves are huge.

Oaxaca is very beautiful, but be very careful there. After the sad events of the past days, this is not the best place for tourists right now.

@@tomasmundo3367 There were two deaths. A man attacked three young Argentinian tourists with a machete on the beach, k1ll1ng one. The second case: a young Canadian tourist was sh0t deAd in his car while returing to the hotel from a restaurant in Puerto Escondido.
