That is just crazy. Surprised the seat belts worked that well.
Right....I've heard ppl getting sucked out the window in previous stories...I guess they weren't buckled in? I wish we heard the rest of it
At hundreds of miles per hour
@@tomhenry897Right! And 30,000 feet up.😮Wow ..
@@erikasundlie305 I'm sure there'll be a long format version of this story if there's not already in the main page
I know right?!! I be thinking those seatbelts are even less safe than roller coaster lap bars!
The man who brought back the great art of storytelling ❤ Thank you MrBallen !!
He is an EXCELLENT story teller
I agree. Mentioned him in a comment yesterday and got the response of "mrballen is for babies yuck." Some people just love to hate
@@estebong Some people aren't very smart 🙄 MrBallen is the best ❤️
@@estebong "Hate"? These really long videos are not for everyone. I know what bringing a glass of wine means without it being explained step by step.
I still watch some of his videos to learn about strange events I'm not familiar with.
OMG that is frigging horrible , the poor lady. I can only hope it was so quick she didnt know about it.😢
Oh gosh, poor clarabelle. That’s nightmare fuel.
What a living nightmare 😰
Living nightmare? 😂
More then a night mare it's your life's got suck out of the plane imagine that poor woman Clair Bell, her body had never been found....lost at Sea.
“1st class sucks” literally
😂😂
Whenever I pass the first class section, the only thing that looks appealing is the leg room and reclining allowance. Other than those two things, I will be happy in the economy with just knowing that I saved thousands upon thousands of dollars by the "more affordable " seats.
HA!😂
@@shawnstatzer95 You get served restaurant quality meals as well none of those sickening microwave dinners in first class or business class.
@RemDog_2015 I have learned to bring my own food that is permissable. Right after the pandemic, there were only a few of us on the airline (which explained the sky-high price), and I was told by a stewardess to sit anywhere I wanted. Well, after doing so, I was not empressed. I will say, though, that there would be one advantage for me to fly first-class, while I am around the average U.S. height, I certainly would be appreciative of the spacious seating arrangements, considering that I have to fly for fifty-two hours roundtrip. Realizing the inflated cost of first-class, I would rather use it while on my long stay overseas. If they would kindly open up a movie theater on that real estate in the upper neighborhood, then we would be agreeing. But if the boss is paying for it, sure, why not?
Jesus Christ that poor lady
Yup she met him
@@nevets000that is uncalled for man come on 😂
He didn't say she's dead so chill
@@Bilal_is_jokingDo you think you'll survive if you get sucked off a plane 30,000ft high? And he also said "Her body was never found."
@@Bilal_is_jokingbro she got sucked out of a plane she Fs ain’t alive know what nvm I just noticed your name
New fear unlocked 😒
Hi MrBallen I just looked this up and your podcast is in the top 25 most listened to podcasts in America. I just wanted to congratulate you.
Legend has it if you subscribe to him your lucky for the next ten years!
That poor woman.😢. RIP Clarabelle 🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️
Why did I watch this 3 days before a plane ride
I know, right? 😳
Let us know if you made it back safely.
Praying for your safe travel 🙏🏽 ❤
@@tiffypop803 Thank you 🙏
Well, it is far better than watching Final Destination (the plane scene) like I did while flying my regular twenty-six hours.
How did it go?😂😂
What a seriously bizarre thing to happen......clarabell probably thought she was dreaming....what a nightmare
THIS is the real reason why im scared of airplanes☠️
shouldnt be, this was the only reported incident to ever have happened. this specific event was the one that started really inspecting for corrosion and remedying certain mechanic practices. Because of this incident, mechanics are not allowed to use sharps (razors, straight edge scales or scratch awls) on an aircraft to lay out repairs. Also the biggest contributing reason as to why aircraft get X-Ray'ed thoroughly during Heavy D checks.
@@utley i didnt just mean this one incident i meant all the other weird incidents too and airplanes are scary as hell as a concept anyway, youre stuck in the air for hours and if something terrible happens, you cant do anything about it
@@acethecritter well even still, the vast majority of aircraft crashes and catastrophic failures come from pilot error and not the aircraft itself. Its very rare you hear of an issue where a fatality occurred due to a failed part or bum repair. It happens, yes...but airline safety is #1 in the world of travel because of a demand to fix it right then and there. The aviation manuals are written in blood, and they arent forgotten at all. Its a big issue when something like that happens. When they find the cause, they fix it. Even Boeing and their 737-Max issues as of late.
@@utley im still not taking that risk
@acethecritter I totally understand, I hate airports too. The TSA killed air travel for me, even though lve worked the industry for years.
That is absolutely horrible. So sad.
❤️💜💚
There is an awesome made-for-TV movie about this incident, called, Miracle Landing, a.k.a. Panic In The Open Sky. It stars the late Wayne Rogers, Connie Sellicca, Ana Alicia, and the late Jay Thomas. It also has Matt McCoy, best known as the father in the movie, The Hand That Rocks The Cradle, as one of the passengers. If you haven't seen this movie, you really should see it. By the way, The Hand That Rocks The Cradle is an awesome movie too.
Gonna try to search it ..intrested😢
I remember this incident in the news.
Clearly, MrBallen and his family have never been to the Big Island! MrB, you all should go sometime.
I remember when this happened, it was headline news for weeks.
Hilo is pronounced He-low. I in Hawaiian is pronounced as ee and E is pronounced as Eh similar to Japanese. W are also pronounced for the most part as V's. So the city would be called He-Low Ha-Vai-ee for Hilo Hawaii
Thank you I just commented this as well. I was raised around Kaneohe Bay. But I keep laughing everytime he says High- low.
@@leastonhill7689 I was living on Hickam Air Base, Honolulu when this happened.
They brought the plane to Hickam and parked it way at the end of the base.
Well it's no use to him now. The video is already done.
Thank you! Very interesting to know ❤
It's useful to him if he pays attention and uses correct pronunciation next time and picks up his game to correct other mispronounciations and misusages, too. He has several, and these errors do distract some viewers from his content. I would expect professional presenters to always strive to do better.
I remember seeing this on the news, terrifying !
Your channel helps me sleep at night thank you!!
💀💀💀
I remember when this happened. It was tragic and at the time I was looking into being a flight attendant. I changed my mind.
I remember it too. My father was on board.
Wow..never heard of this one how terrible.. thank Mr. Ballen for a short story..your a wonderful story teller..and I hope Clarabelle's family has reached peace..
Heartbreaking 💔 and the fact that her body has never been found only adds to the tragedy. Rest in peace Clarabelle ❤
Omg how awful 😢 and them never finding her to top it off 🥺
Passenger: I requested for better air conditioning.
Pilot: Request accepted.
This is the ONLY reason I don’t fly first class.
😂
Why? If it’s going to happen it’s going to happen being first class bs the rest the plane makes no difference your not safe in one section more then the other
@@steverodriguez4871IT'S A JOKE FOR GOD'S SAKE
I hope Clara Bell was an Angel. Since they never found her. However, if she had family, of course, that would diminish that theory. However, I’m glad everyone else survived. It’s a miracle. Thanks Mr Ballen 😊
I doubt she had time to think about what happened to the flight attendant. The horrendous rush of cold air blowing everything around like a hurricane would have been foremost on her mind.
@@adog3336At a 1000 km/h approx. It's likely she was ripped apart.
But yes it is possible she saw the plane flying away as she was immediately sucked out!
Oh and due to lack of air, then it wouldn't have taken long anyway.
It's a horror movie in reality!
What?@@adog3336
I just hear "A light in the window is a crack in the skyyyyyyy" and the heavy riffing that follows....
Omg!!! You're my favorite character that does the podcasts. Did not know what you looked like. You tell the stories good.
I love Mr. Ballens content...but Hi-Low...it's Hee-Low...the like button is happy with this.
Never heard about this? Its a miracle that they could even land. 😲
The fact that those people had to land with no roof boggles my mind every time I see this photo.
That's mind blowing!
You should tell the story about Kendrick Johnson… that story gave me chills
Oh my god could you imagine falling to your death from that high!?
I’m never going to unbuckle my seatbelt on an airplane ever again
Reason 1725th why I'm scared of riding airplanes
I remember watching a full video on this before. I believe it was later revealed that the company had not been doing proper maintenance on their aircraft to save money and were later forced to shut down over the scandal
You’re actually safer in a plane than in a car!
@@adog3336 i have seen many videos of people in car get turned into minced meat planes have very high maintenance standarts and pilots are better trained than your average driver
Ive flown alot in my earlier days. But planes scare me. There are so many moving parts and so many little things can go wrong.
I can’t imagine what that stewardess was thinking plunging 30 thousand feet to her death, may God be with her.
its so sad that they couldnt find her! i feel so bad for the poor lady. rip you lived a good life ❤
My heart feels so sad for that poor lady😢
Oh, so sad! Bless you Claribel 😢!
That's so sad 😢
“High-low” 😂
That sucks for that lady poor lady
Poor Clarabelle - I hope her family sued the airline!
Came here to see how many others commented on the pronunciation. I remember before I moved there, I made the same mistake 😅
As for Clarabelle, jeeeez, I hope she was quickly unconscious and didn't know what was happening. Bless her
This is exactly why I hate flying.
blown, not sucked out. common error; love you, mr.Ballen
Clarabelle earned her wings that day.
Scary!! Especially in an airplane!!
So, the moral of the story is order two drinks at once, because you never know if the stewardess is coming back.
So sad, prayers for Clairabell and her family
I remember when that happened. Always stay belted in😮
The people when they landed: “how the actual fu-“
She went straight to heaven.
Yep, my dad was on board!! We saw the news and were scared to death!!!
ME AND MY MOM LISTEN TO YOUR PODCAST ALL OF THE TIME
The flight attendant should’ve bought a lottery ticket
Holy heck that's wild.....
How unlucky for Clarabelle...
That’s a sad story I think I’m gonna go cry now.
Poor Clarabelle! She flew un- friendly skies. 😢✈️
Imagine a 200 plus mph wind at high altitude hit you in the face and there ain't a damn thing you can do about it. Hard to believe they survived.
That's why they made such a precautionary briefing before take off 😂
My aunt was on that plane. She’s never been the same since
Can you imagine the horror this woman was feeling once she realized what was happening?
The idea that suddenly the jet airplane you’re flying will become a convertible at 30,000 feet pretty scary stuff right there
Talk about paying extra for first class… you even get the most terrifying show of your life
I watched this episode of disaster flights. There's a bunch of episodes about stuff like this
I was stationed there at that time. My husband was on the search crew but was so sad and scary.
They made a movie about this called "Miracle Landing." Aloha Airlines Flight 243.
"I believe i could flyyy"
Holy thank god i was kinda creeped out with that guy that says run fool at the end
I literally have a flight at 6pm TONIGHT
I get freaked out about this stuff when i take my baby on flights
My mouth has been catching flies for the last 5 minutes!!! What??? 😮
R.I.P. QUEEN 💔
For information: All three flight attendants were moving around serving drinks. The other two survived even though one (Jane) was further in the problematic section than Clarabelle. But Clarabelle was most probably unlucky in that she stood where the crack formed. So she was sucked out due to the pressure difference.
Her colleague Jane on the other hand was smashed down on the aisle by the wind and debris when the rest of the roof flew off. She was injured heavily but survived.
Keep your seatbelts fasten at all times. Sign of a frequent flyer.
RIP happy lady❤
Geez! From a small crack!
Convertible planes....who knew!
RIP Clarabelle.
😢
nah bruv actually went to heaven
High-low Hawaii 😂😂😂😂
Poor Clarabelle!😢
Man ... if I was that woman who asked for that wine...wouldn't be able to sleep at night..
OMG! Poor Clara, may she RIP
Bro I thought she was a ghost until he said something
How sad & terrifying😳🥺
I remember that well. The next week took took a flight on that airline. 😊
Clarabel still floats around on cloud 9 its been told.
Straight to heaven
How sad the tragedies that have happened in air travel is so horrific and the fact that it most likely in time ⏲️ will happen again I'm sad to say.. 🙏 please hope this never happens again 🙏 ✈️🛩🛫🛬
