I was sitting on my couch watching a movie, and my 17 year old son was in his room sleeping, which is typical at this hour, when suddenly he appeared in the living room looking a little tired and sat in the recliner to put his shoes on. Naturally I was curious and asked what he was doing. He said he's going to pick his friend, Leo, up. I asked him to elaborate, and he said Leo was out drinking at a party and needed a ride home because he was drunk. This may not seem like a big deal to some, but to me it means the world, because my son has made some bad decisions lately and my wife and I have been feeling like we failed as parents, but in the 5 minutes between him coming in the living room and him leaving the house I saw the young man that I know has been in there the whole time. This is the proudest I've been of him in a long time and I just wanted to share this moment with someone so thank you for taking the time to read it.
The way the girl ran to the screen scared me so bad i was tramatized so bad i had to wake up every 5 minutes to check that anyone was watching me
He forgot to say when the maid quit a new one started and on her first day or second day they were all murdered including her. That is just horrible luck!

He was the one “discovered” the bodies, moved the corpses prior to the police showing up, even though told not to by his own sons and even had a key to the property. He had a child with the owner of the farm where the murders took place. Casefile podcast has a good episode covering it.

Because the only details after they were dead was the fact that the entire family was dead and in the same room. It’d be near impossible to kill them all at the same time. So it’s not a leap to guess that they were lured out one by one. Being it was snowing, the victims saw their family members footprints and followed them one by one to their demise.
There's actually a storie quite similar to this where only the grandmother and the youngest child (an infant) survived because late at night they heard their cattle scream and everyone went out to look what's going on only the old lady stayed inside to watch the baby the next morning the rest of the family was also dead in the barn
There were no suspects or so but the rumor spread through the village that the first husband of the woman owning the farm which went missing during the world War came back and killed everyone because he was angry that his wife remarried after his disappearing
Such a sad story, indeed 😢 I hope they all have peace now.
