Ive completely turned my back on Benchmade at this point. I just dont feel like their prices reflect the quality like my last 3 spydercos do. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about them the fit and finish just feels more premium to me.

Benchmade has lost me as a customer. My last couple benchmades have required a complete reprofile because the sharpening angle was so laughably inconsistent. I thought the first one was a fluke,... Nope, its the new Benchmade standard.

My first was a Police model with a SS handle and no radiusing at the edges, Gingami 1, fully serrated - in the winter of 1987. 30 or 40 more Spydercos since then, many of which were gifted. I'll be buying 3 more Spydercos shown on this video. The Military has been my favorite platform over the decades, in many iterations and then, cutting edge steels. ... Spyderco always innovates and expands the boundaries of cutlery.
The looks might grow on you once you pick one up and fall in love with the function. Give it time. You can’t say they’re not unique and instantly identifiably for the brand. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder also as they say

The Spiderco Native series of knives still remains my utmost favorite EDC folding knives. The weight is a winner on them and as always the corrosion resistance on those blades are phenomenally good.
Really like both of the PM2 Salt knives. The yellow and black scales have a Transformers Bumblebee 🐝 vibe. Glad I got my order in with the pre-order. Frankly, I’m glad Spyderco is taking its time to get these knives right during production. It’s better to get a well crafted knife late than a glitchy knife sooner.

@@Jeffrose_ cause its not even stainless. Cause its a folder. Cause putting 3v on a folder would be a gimick. Cruewear brings toughness but most importantly, edge retention in a folder. Geometry will help with making it tuff. I think most consumers just consume and not realize the information about knives.
Spyderco is the only company out there in the large production world that is giving us knives that perform at a high level as knives.. they aren't worried about making fidget toys for hipsters to walk around flipping all day and telling everyone how great the detent is... they are making high performance cutting instrument first and foremost and that Is why I respect spyderco so much.
The 'Slipit' range of knives are simply the best for the UK/non-locking market. I have the UKPK, Urban, Lil' Native, and Squeak. Faultless fit, finish, walk and talk, and safe functionality. I love 😍 the entuuusiasm from Eric. 🥊

Love Spyderco, I always carry 2 spydies or my MKM Iconso every day. I usually carry a Yojimbo 2 for self defense, I never have to pull it out. And I carry a M4 Delica 4 for edc use.

I am a knife maker and make fixed blades. I have only carried fixed blades for years as I live in the woods. I have found myself back carrying spiderco para 2 w s30 and textured g10 in black just to try it and it’s been in my pocket for weeks. Can’t stop fidgeting w it too. My love for folders is back. Need to pull out my ultra tech too
All I want is a Pacific Salt in Magnacut. That knife IMHO the best all around knife you can buy for work and personal that does everything well, is super durable and needs zero upkeep. It’s long enough to cut line, wear gloves with, slice meats while camping, take to the snow, high output activities and I dont need to worry about crud getting stuck anywhere. The tip is slightly downturned to make it less stabby but can still pierce material. It’s truly the best knife I’ve ever had. And I have almost every Salt they make. Please make that the next magnacut release.
They still have a bunch of knives in H2. H2 is a super-steel that is more for specialized users, and that's more so now that there are some other steels that offer extremely good corrosion resistance -- though not as good as H2. H2 has a super power -- it is a super steel. But most people don't need it.
It's a Joy to see Eric grow are the new CEO after Sal retired. Gotta give him props on his beautiful hair. The Bodacious looks like a must buy. I'm excited to try one after hearing Eric describe it.
The Native Chief Salt is soo cool! The Stretch 2 needs to get the same MagnaCut and/or LC200N with the full flat grind because this current H2 hollow stuff is not what we like.
Yeah I just recently jumped on the Spyderco bandwagon I had known about them but I didn't think there was any better than Kershaw because I love my assisted opening but once I got a Spyderco their heat treat on their vg10 steel is just on another level from other knife companies I mean it's got unreal Edge retention just such a good quality built knife I'm on the bandwagon now I only carry Spyderco
I hear people say Spyderco knives all look the same, are the same thing over and over etc but I can't believe they are even knife people if they can't discern subtle differences and appreciate constant improvements on classic designs

The new coatings sound good, but I would hope that with the added lubricity there aren't PFAS chemicals and the like. Toxicity is important too...people use these knives for food prep.

If you are looking for a precision cutting tool then Spyderco is very hard to best.

Spyderco’s LC200n is amazing, glad they are keeping it around.

Toughness, that's what Lc200n has over Magnacut. But Magnacut has much much larger hardness range making it more versatile overall.

Was hoping for a new shaman. The bodacious doesn't look as comfortable with its flat handles.
