i hate Saturdays and Sunday’s because i hate working with my co worker i fell in love with him and theres a new cashier girl and it seems like they flirt
maxhamlin38 I’m sorry to say but some bosses and managers have no life and feel some unnecessary need to be controlling and fabricate their own rules. I remember a college telling me not to talk because the senior manager doesn’t like it and I asked where in the staff handbook was that written
@@lydiamusima5840 I often wondered whether the handbook at my last job was drafted by a group of 4th graders, each with a box of crayons and a stack of paper bags.
Another sign is even on off days you can't get excited about being off because you know the day after tomorrow or the next day you'll be right back there again. And the weekends go by super fast making Monday over cloud the little freedom on Saturday and Sunday
I quit my job earlier this year. It paid well but the way the boss would talk down to me and the other coworkers wasn't worth it. Money isnt everything, your happiness is.
I called my manager out on “checking the hotel” on Thanksgiving. I asked her if she had any family and why she would be checking the hotel on Thanksgiving when she took the day off. She never responded back to me. My boyfriend says I was too harsh. 🤷♀️ is it not creepy to “check in” to see if the hotel is running properly on Thanksgiving? That’s creepy to me when ya take the day off. Plus she was never happy she’d walk around like she was dead inside. I told her she needs Jesus. I just feel sorry for her at this point. The customers don’t even like her.
Yeah it's sick how some management doesn't "train" employees but scolds their every mistake with harsh criticism! Don't learn from mistakes, just be perfect already!
When you start drinking everyday to deal with the stress at work. It's time to go. When you start having anxiety attacks every day. It's time to go. When you start taking antidepressants just to help cope with your toxic job. It's time to go. Your blood pressure is constantly high. It's time to go. When you walk past a window at work and you think about jumping out of it. It's time to go. When you notice that you are in and out of the hospital too often. It's time to go!
Even if the pay is good, if you're miserable and missing out on lots of things because of work it's time for a change. You can always make more money. It's time you'll never get back.
This is soo true!!! I'm quitting my 2nd job because of essentially this statement!! I can't stand working 6days and 65 hrs anymore.. time to go back to 40. Have some life balance and time for the gym again
zeldafreak701 Exactly because I felt that way at my last job. The pay wasn’t too bad but it was not dreading going to work stressed out, worried about slipping up and being the only employee at the job too. Eventually we went out of business last Halloween and to be honest I was hecka happy because I was already getting ready to fly back to California to visit family for Thanksgiving and I felt so relieved that I’m no longer 😁😌. Lately I’ve been working on becoming self employed so that I won’t have to beg for a job anymore
Employees don't leave companies, they leave their bosses. Poor management is the number 1 reason ppl leave their jobs today. Ppl don't have faith in H.R anymore cause nothing will be done. Companies should require certificates in all beliw not just one: Management, Social Skills and H.R Labor laws and Human Rights from anyone running any department.
Agree. There’s a strong buddy system in play where I work. Management and HR are drinking buddies. I come close to just leaving before finding new job but trying to hang on. Plus my job is physical. My blood pressure is now high which has always been great before. Hope I can free myself from this misery.
Offices can drive you crazy. You don’t get enough daylight or fresh air. Life is too short and precious to waste it in a job that suffocates you. Thanks for this video!!!!
I hate my job. The pay is awful. There is no support from supervisors. I was just recently told to just stay quiet and do my job. I have been having that gut feeling that I deserve more and I have to quit.
Health issues , feeling tired constantly and missing out on life...people had told me that’s normal for a full time job but there’s a certain point where it’s not ok anymore.
That has nothing to do with a full time job and everything to do with job stress, lack of decent sleep, consistany work load, emotional and verbal abuse from Co workers and boss, being excluded from group settings. Being over worked and not being able to spend time with your loved ones, especially kids. Whenever I get a day off all I do is sleep and I feel bad that my 8 year old daughter is in her room entertaining herself, because I'm beat, we work sometimes 40 to 50 hrs in a 5 day work week, sometimes we work 6 days or even 7 days a week and for 3 weeks straight .Im fine with over time, but I would rather work 6 days and work 8 hrs a day is. working 10 or 11 hrs in one day.
@@ebonyeyed08ti I work over 9 hours Ima day and it’s draining when you don’t get no breaks ( only 1 hour lunch which is not enough for a 9 or 10 hour day) we get over worked with no extra pay

I don’t get breaks just an 1 lunch and I work over 9 hours hell sometimes I work over 10 hours 🤦🏽♀️ even when I try to take my breaks I always get interrupted that’s why my co worker left after working only like a month she hated it and she would get called out
Yessssss! Thank you for posting this I really know that God has been trying to tell me for months it’s time for me to let go and take a leap of faith and go into my purpose
I've quit jobs more than once due to "Bait and Switch" during the interview. No one likes to be lied to. I did not lie on my resume and in the interview, so why do companies think that it's okay to lie to candidates in the interview?
That’s me 😂. My response is always “ well I’m here “ I never say great . I can’t wait to quit. I plan on starting fresh somewhere else by the new year !
I don't want to talk about my job and I take that as a sign too. Someone at my gym asked me and I didn't even want to tell them what I did or where I worked. I brushed it off because I didn't want to bring up how I feel about it. 😑😒
I been putting a lot of thought into quitting my job. After watching this video, I'm now motivated to do so. Here's my reasons for wanting to quit 1. Unhealthy work/life balance 2. Some of the payments are not enough. 3. I'm the most overlooked employee. 4. I often feel underappreciated by managers and some coworkers. 5. I feel like a slave. 6. No room for advancements. 7. I feel like I'm in a brainwashing cult. 8. The job is not what I believed it to be. 9. No interest in the work I'm doing. 10. Too challenging at times. 11. It's mentally, emotionally and physically draining.
Isaiah Adams same, I’m quitting tomorrow. I went there getting told I would be doing 6 hours on Saturdays and that’s it (I’m 15) but they made me work for 9 hours on Saturdays and said that it was always a Saturday and Sunday job, which it wasn’t. I’ve been there for 3 weeks and I’m quitting I’m just scared cause the person who runs the place will end up getting angry at me
I just quit my job today! First months of my job was running well. I don't feel any pressure or stress and it feels like I'll last longer. But, I was wrong, when my guts told me to quit I did not listen until months pass by, I don't feel happy anymore, everything is stressful, my boss keeps yelling at us almost everyday, my anxiety got worst, daily breakdowns after shift and even day offs. I thought I was just being weak and over reacting until one day I finally realized that it's not healthy anymore. The job just helped me financially but not my personal growth. But this job taught me a lot of things, such as, chosing the right job next time that I would love no matter what the difficulties. Don't forget to look back cuz our previous job will help help us what we want to become.
This is basically my story right now. The first 4 months were good till an incident with a co-worker was flat out rude to me even tho there were signs 2 months back but I didn’t think much of it then she would continue to be rude till another 4 months she was nice all of the sudden but she was also rude to another co worker of mine and I guess he went to HR and told on her anyways even tho all of that the job was fine for the first 8 months then in November it all started changing where my boss was very rude to me and others then they cut my hours down and my co workers and she just upped and quit on her lunch break lol but right now I am fine my boss is back to being nice but now that same co worker is kinda being a b*tch again and I just dealt with another co worker being rude to me
I was a senior employee but they had to keep bringing kids with no knowledge and bad ideas stopped listening to. me I found out they went out of business LOL
I had my enough is enough moment and quit my job, when i was stuck at the same amount of income for 2 years, even though i gave my best. Then thankfully i opened my own website and channel and all is well.
When you find out new hires with little to know experience are making starting pay 3$ more an hour than you are, after you have put in the years and work with great reviews and schooling.
This was a clue that I should have taken seriously a year ago. I work in a retail/ production company, I work in production. I noticed on their online applications that they were hiring people to do my exact job at a higher rate than me. Despite me being there several years and being much faster and efficient than the newbies being hired. When I had a meeting about it with my boss, I assumed they would say it was an honest overlooked mistake in pay and immediately raise me to what the new hires were making. Nope, they came up with some bs response and said to qualify for that raise I needed to prove myself on the retail side of the business despite these new hires never having to do that work. They only did what I did and got paid more than me, despite being new and slow. But I went along with that nonsense bs excuse and tortured myself learning the retail in order to "qualify". Ever since, new hires are not being forced into that. It was ONLY ME. I'm convinced it was some sort of sadistic punishment for me to dare point out this inequality, and them not wanting To admit a mistake. It's only got worse for me. I'm in clinical burnout mode. I cant take being overworked, unappreciated, and other employees getting bonuses over me. It's time for me to leave but my nerves are fried, and I'm so terrified that another job I go to will be worse. I'm scared to move and am on the verge of a nervous breakdown as I keep crying randomly though out the days.
Ladies and gentleman, go ahead and start that business you've always desired. Be your OWN boss. And when you start to hire employees remember to treat them with the utmost RESPECT.
Yes. Learn by your own experience. Man, cannot stress that enough - be good to people, train them, meet and communicate with them. Be compassionate and have some empathy. We live in a world of crooks and if you dont understand the game, its shitty but learn the game, doesn't mean to play and be shitty to others.
@@SAMEntalhealth You can do it! Everyday do something that will bring you closer to your dream (business plan, design your logo, register with your state, etc.). Keep it to yourself and build in silence.
No. 17...if your employment is constantly delaying your pay. It's another sign that the company is not doing well, has little regard for its employess or has a mountain of debt.
Where I work at, no reiveiws or pay raises based on performance. That right there diminishes creativity. Sure, give us your ideas for free so I can buy my fifth house. Yeah, my turn. To be honest i want to quit my boring office job and just do travel vlogs and make money but im afraid i wont succeed but like they said "youll never know if you dont try"
You have an itch, scratch it and see what happens. If you dnt scratch that itch you will always wonder if you could have made it. If you do scratch the itch you might not 100% succeed, but you will be wiser and more rounded. You can easily get another shit office job, but you cant go back in time!!
I been working in the medical field for 10 years.... I'm serious over it... it's not coming from the heart....I stress out in anxiety just driving to work.
I worked in property management for 2 years. I left my job because I have to have surgery. HR told me that the property I worked at didn't support medical leave and I had been the only maintenance technician for the property for a year serving as a porter, maintenance tec, maintenance supervisor and a pool guy. 120 unit section 8 and his housing. The week before I was scheduled to have surgery the property had a state inspection and higher management was being a pain and my manager was making my job even harder than what it was. I finally had enough walked into the office to take lunch and just took off my keys and badges in front of the manager and walked out. Haven't been back since. Got another job that appreciates the knowledge and work I offer them. I was experience everyone of these signs.
I am quitting today. I will only give two weeks begrudgingly. You dont have to. It's not a law, it's a consideration so the business can keep moving forward, for them. Ha!
Companies are hiring now. They can't find enough people to fill the open spots. When they do hire someone they don't often even show up for the first day or leave soon after they start.
I honestly feel super bored in my job. I moved up to assistant manager of a bakery and I hate it. I’m always late to work because I dread it. I don’t get paid right for the amount of work I do. Also, I can’t even take time off for a doctors appointment.
Great video and superb list. I always think of what Steve Jobs said about if you wake up in the morning too many days in a row and don't look forward to the day ahead then it's time for change
5 reasons I want to quit my job: 1. 1 hrs 30 minutes train commute everyday. 2. It feels as if whatever work is too slow for them. They want instant outputs and badmouth behind my back that I'm not productive enough. 3. I don't love my job. I love cooking and know a great deal of Video editing. I work on weekends on RUclips and I enjoy doing that. Cooking is my passion. 4. I feel very stressed in office. It is affecting my health and personal relationships. 5. I am quite innocent and I get stuck in office politics every now and then. I don't know how to create a fake rapport between me and my manager. So my manager doesn't likes me.
Don't fake a rapport. Be respectful to your boss not an @$$ kisser. Follow your passion. Look for a chef job and invest in training so you can make it official. Use your current job to support your vision. BTW, great channel.
My manager complained to all my coworkers that I didn’t “talk” to her or smile. They all missed her ass and I didn’t. I communicated with her about work related topics but I didn’t fake rapport and I quit.
@@Nayahpooh012. Omg the same. I'm still trying to study myself. I do believe I don't sit well with authority. But my supervisor don't care about the actual work. Just chit chat
well this popped up two days after I left my job. Served as a great confirmation as I had met multiple signs. You hit them all except as someone else listed below, if you have a physical reaction on the way into work and the closer you get the deeper the reaction to the point of what could be described as a panic attack, that's the final straw....Thank you for posting!
I did 'quit' two jobs in my past and never did regret it. In both cases I just said 'that's it' and I walked out. It shocked everybody. I was supposed to be a company SIMP, just set there with my tail between my legs and say nothing.
Im at a crossroad to walk out on my job too but I've never quit within giving a 2 week notice. I hear alot of mixed things about just walking out and burning bridges or having to run into those ppl in the future. Do you fear that when you walked out like that it was effect your reputation or reference for other jobs?
Thanks. I actually walked out on them 2 months after this comment 🤣🤣. It felt amazing to shove it into all their faces including the coworkers that were a bunch of "Ass Hats" to me! I actually wuit twice bc the director begged me to come back after I was out sick for 3 days during an executive company visit that I help prepare for. I didn't want to come back after being sick to deal with their negativity and blame game of how shit went wrong and it was my fault. Any who it was the best feeling ever! Never going back to that toxic company ever and I dont need their reference anyways bc my resume and my experience is well off without them.
I love the work I do but can’t stand the people. Totally negative, gossipy, backstabbing, throw you under the bus at the drop of a hat, willing to lie and not take responsibility for their mistakes and attempt to put them on you, the boss is unprofessional and talks to other employees about you and others behind their backs, constant complaining, no one ever takes your side, you get no credit for being the bigger person, no one sees your value, feeling picked on and singled out, working harder than others because they are physically lazier than you. I could go on.😩
It is not the Quitting your job that’s difficult, it is the DECISION to quit that’s difficult .I do everything with prayer and respond and not react ,this is a big clue!
When management sucks and you bring up real problems and they don't listen then a year later they use your words at a meeting that was your words and manage takes credit and when they won't cover you on health insurance becouse you ride a motorcycle cycle it's time to leave been there 15yrs never met the owner management says he has bigger and better things to do that tells me that we're all numbers at this company every place I've worked I always met the owner this is the only one and being here 15yrs I would've know him if we were face to face all he cares about is costs some days I work 14hrs I'm tire of making other people rich on my time and health since I work nights.
If your job give you empty promises you should leave. Example: boss- "we have been talking to corporate about giving you a promotion." Promotion never happens and talk about it slowly dies out.
I just graduated highschool and I've been working at 7-Eleven for a year and a half now and im making 1k+ a check and trust me my family is poor and i need the money but its just not enough i hate the work enviroment at 711 and on my days off i stress about how i have work in 3 days or however long until i go back its that bad, when you said "You know whats even scarier than quiting your job..? @@WTFAnyNameWorks same. Working all day long with toxic fucks can be really hard. Honestly, for the 2 yrs I worked there, I have really lost myself. Im so thankful I quit.
i’ve had my job for almost two years and i loved it at first. for the first year or so i was so ecstatic to go to work and i had a great time there. now i just cannot muster up any enthusiasm when i am scheduled. it’s so monotonous and mentally draining. the only reason i haven’t quit is because i love my coworkers. but they shouldn’t hold me back from something greater than what i am doing now. i also have debilitating anxiety about disappointing people so no matter how hard i try i just can’t go up to my boss and quit.
I quit my job today.. literally for at least half of the reasons mentioned in this video. I just walked out. I was losing myself. Slowly becoming an unhappy and bitter person.. Just gotta keep moving forward now. No looking back 🙏
When you get called in by the manager/supervisor for the smallest things things or things you didn't do and they write you up for it.... Several times Good thing about me is that due to my disability basically invincible from getting fired, but still...
When you have been overworked for a long time and lose interest in the work. I’m so bored and even with major deadlines cannot bring myself to care until the very last moment
Also have a back up plan of at least 6 to 12 months of savings in the bank account so that way when you are job hunting you do not feel the pressure of finding some job but finding the one you enjoy . there is nothing more painful than to leave a job and not have a back up support when things do not go your way. I have seen colleges of mine just walk a way and weeks later they want their jobs back. So again I say before you plan on resigning please think thoroughly before doing so.
johnny saenz I think the common wisdom of “have a new one lined up before leaving” is both good & bad advice. Not having one lined up can be an excuse to stay in a comfortable, toxic place. Having a job can be an excuse not to look for a new one. Depends on job market & one’s desirability in the marketplace. Quit a job at the only employer in a town with high unemployment? Maybe not. Quit a job in a city with many options in a great economy? Less risk.
I will quit! ...In January after thanksgiving and Christmas 🎄 because I need money for the holidays 😅 Yeah I feel like I deserve better. I have an associates degree that I haven’t even used yet and here I am, stuck in custodial work. I’m pretty sure I could do better. I hate my job and I’m so *miserable* that I cry sometimes. It’s just that my mom passed recently and I’m just smothered in grief and I’m kind of lost. I’m terrified of taking chances of finding new work, having to start that “fitting in” process all over again. But now I really learned the hard way unfortunately that life is too precious and short to be stuck doing something I hate, working with bosses that are absolutely horrible. I’ve always talked about finding a new better job with my mom for like a while now. And I know I have to go. I have to go.
Some of us don't have a choice. I'm in my 50's and many employers don't want to hire older people. I have no other skills through no fault of my own. I won't make what I'm making now anywhere else.
But what is the point to make so much money doing something that can even make you sick in the future? Life is not all about money, we spent too much in unecessary things, money do not buy time, which in my opinion is more important at this age. But of course people are different for me health and freedom is more important than a lot of money, I am 54 and quit my very well paid job last year. No regrets.
I am from Singapore working for McDonald’s for six months now age 63. It is the only company here that hire senior up to age active 80. Does McDonald’s at your area hire without age limits? Working in ‘do this and do’ that before even completing a job given position, to a senior professional can be tough being in this method, but very useful for rebuilding by harvesting positive that is sitting in negative life experience. I feel like I am moving in positive 25(workaholic) with a 17 Netball player captain mode mentality(which I was ) and I am feeling good.. it’s all in the memory like old CVN aircraft carrier in recommission again.
I've been with my present employer for eighteen years and am still in the same position I was when I was first hired. I have been feeling for a while it may be time to find something else.
Just for the record, I have often tried to inquire into positions that would elevate me only to be told "It is a waste of your time", "Waste of your talent", "Waste of your skills", "You can't do it", "You lack leadership", "You will fail". Truthfully, it is quite discouraging.
I think the only time to quit your job is if the job is not working out for you, whether it's stress, boredom, bullying or you get warnings that you will get fired. My current job I've had more over two years and so far it's working out for me, but there are times I get bored and stressed. However it's not like that everyday and every month, so it means my job is worth keeping.

zeldafreak701 Exactly because I felt that way at my last job.
What about the money
Good point, you can't recover the time.
You are absolutely correct its MANAGEMENT and HR. Its a pitty most no organizations cannot see that.

Haha yes!!
So easy to blame others. How is HR responsible?
Agree. There’s a strong buddy system in play where I work. Management and HR are drinking buddies. I come close to just leaving before finding new job but trying to hang on. Plus my job is physical.
I've quit jobs more than once due to "Bait and Switch" during the interview. No one likes to be lied to. I did not lie on my resume and in the interview, so why do companies think that it's okay to lie to candidates in the interview?
Geesh
When somebody asks how you are doing and what you have been up to, and your response is a rant about your job, it's time for a change.
Here's my reasons for wanting to quit
1. Unhealthy work/life balance

YOU SHOULD LEAVE.

When your boss tell you to do something but than gets mad at you for doing that thing later on.

5 reasons I want to quit my job:
1. 1 hrs 30 minutes train commute everyday.
2. It feels as if whatever work is too slow for them. They want instant outputs and badmouth behind my back that I'm not productive enough.

Another sign is when you feel that there is no growth in the company you stay
I think the only time to quit your job is if the job is not working out for you, whether it's stress, boredom, bullying or you get warnings that you will get fired.
My current job I've had more over two years and so far it's working out for me, but there are times I get bored and stressed. However it's not like that everyday and every month, so it means my job is worth keeping.
Your video hits the nail on the head with the reasons it may be time to leave your job (just over broke)
I will following your advise.
Excellent Video!
Thank you for stating not to burn bridges. Im getting ready to cut the cord and have been wrestling with what to say or not to say as to why im taking early retirement. The reasons are endless. But you made it simple for me to keep it generic
Thank you
When you're watching this because you've been applying for weeks to no avail. When you hate your job but cant quit because you have responsibilities but the job market is shit near you. When you keep refreshing your email. Calling to follow up. And opening your voicemail over and over. When you dread every waking second of your job and the universe is against you😖
