When I heard just The Emptiness Machine, I was like "Hmm, okay, so this is the new singer, not bad". I had no strong opinions on her. But once I heard her on more songs and the album as a whole, I was sold on her. She's perfect for Linkin Park. Great days ahead.
I have a similar experience. That outlet for my anger I couldn’t express anywhere else.. all the shit I went through.. I channeled that into my music I made in my band as well, I wrote a song that is soooo angry and I screamed the entire thing. LP was my inspiration and have been one of my top favorite bands since that time. ❤
Thank you for finding a healthy outlet and I too have felt so much angry and rage and pain and no way to let it out and it's because artists like yourself that I have found so much relief and don't feel so not alone anymore music is my all time favorite thing in the world and I hope we all get to hear your band and I wish you all the success in the world keep rocking 🤘🏽✨❤️
Yo it was wild, I remember my first intro to this genre being black and young, it was Papa Roach Last Resort, because it came in so hard black people vibed with it, then Crawling came out of nowhere, the first linkn park song I heard, and I was hooked... We was like, this whole time rock sounded like this? It was the summer after my 8th grade year 2000 I believe... Man its like we grew up with this band, and to now see and hear emily, shes awesome and the sound can expand even more now.
She’s already good, and she’ll only get better with time as her confidence and relationship with the band grows. People that don’t like her for one don’t understand that female vocalists can now scream just was well as their male counterparts and convey the same angst (spiritbox, poppy, just to name a couple) and two; linkin park was getting stale before Chester died, I mean sure 2 songs that were good in the later days with Chester, but that was it…they were still selling out venues, but people were going to tear the old stuff. She’s going to give life to the band, help them make some new sounds, and Mike is still there, and he’s the main mastermind behind the music anyway. No disrespect to Chester (rip).
The iconic songs do not have to "pass away" along with Chester!! Chester made the songs his and other singers can make the same song theirs. A perfect example is the Kasey Chambers cover of "Lose Yourself " by Eminem. Completely different sound, but captured the emotion and meaning of the song perfectly!!
They both seem so, for lack of a better term, normal sitting there chatting. But then on stage, they're fucking beasts! I laughed when she said she had to realize that not everyone could sing like her. Nope. Almost no one can sing like her.
So Emily is huge into Scientology. She defended Danny matisen at his R*pe trial and has done some weird things. Mike had a interview back in like 2018 or something when he went into depth about the craziness of the cult. He didn't have much nice things to say... Now she is the new singer. WTF? Also, if you don't believe me look it up.
I think you’re the one who needs to ‘look this up’.. like real fact checking, rather than believing everything all the ‘haters’ are spouting about Emily. Have a proper look into her background…

I'm sure Chester Bennington is looking down from heaven and he is pleased that they kept Linkin Park going

She was born in 1986, so she was 14. Pretty close
let's not focus on the skeletons... those sciento ones.
