So that's how you work with it...bought several balls years ago when it first came out butcouldnt figure out for the life of me how to work it...I think I ended up using it as a Halloween decoration (webbing with fluorescent spiders lol) Thank you for the tutorial❣️
This was a great demonstration on how to use this type of yarn. Thank you! I never pick this yarn because I had no idea how to use it. 😂 not anymore! 😊
I had a bunch of yarn gifted to me last year and some if it was this. I'm not a fan of ruffles, but might have to try making a few ruffled scarves for my granddaughters who will probably love them. I actually already used some just like you would a super bulky or tape yarn and made a super quick cowl and headband out of it. I ended up liking that a lot!
Before I learned to crochet, I made so many scarves with Sashay and similar yarns. I have a huge tote of them. It was so much fun. I have no idea what to do with them now, but they were so relaxing to make.
When you can find a significant amount of this yarn for around $1-2 USD, another nice way to use it is just as you would a super-bulky 6 yarn. I've been collecting skeins from thrift stores for a couple of years, and adding them to a basic double crochet triangle shawl. Sashay as a typical chunky yarn is comfortably weighty, if you like weighted blankets, but remains light enough to distribute that weight well, and it has a great, slinky drape to it. Surprisingly warm, with a cool outer surface. But, it takes a lot of skeins to make a sizable piece, as tends to be with novelty yarns.
I rennet doing these mikey I did struggle but ended up making half a dozen lovely scarves for my family I still have one myself I must look it out thank you for doing this again you are an inspiration 😊Amanda xx💖💕
I remember you introducing me to this yarn in the Red Heart days. I made 3 or 4 of these scarves, but not sure where they are now. Thanks for the journey down memory lane. ❤
I remember coveting the metallics when they came out, but being intimidated because I had never touched knitting needles, only crochet hooks. I ended up buying a skein and braiding it into a sturdy and sparkly lanyard for my work badges. If I see any of it again, now I know what to do!
My Mom crocheted many scarfs with this yarn when she could still crochet. I wonder if I could find her stash and try knitting with it? Those crystal knitting needles are my favorite blue color. Do you mind saying what brand they are? Are they an interchangeable set? Thank you.

I just commented about using it that way before I read yours! 😅 I made a headband and a cowl and love it! 😁
I used to know how to crochet with Sashay, but I don't remember. Maybe I'll try Tunisian knit stitch.

Thank you for demonstrating this. But I think I will crochet this in stead of knitting.
I love those needles you are using! What kind are they?
Knitter's Pride.
