I dont mean to be so off topic but does any of you know of a method to get back into an Instagram account??
I somehow lost my login password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me
@Fletcher Abdiel Instablaster :)
@Brodie Nico Thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff atm.
Takes a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Brodie Nico it worked and I now got access to my account again. Im so happy:D
Thank you so much, you saved my ass :D
@Fletcher Abdiel Glad I could help xD
Egoiste is amazing love that one in the cooler weather, great list !
Thank you!!!
Polo Green is king!! I get so many compliments from it because people think it’s different than the typical fragrances of today. Love your channel!!!
Me too. Love the aftershave.
Thanks a lot J!
Do you have the newer version?
I remember buying this in the early 80s and repurchased it over the years, wearing it through the 90s and 2000s. My wife has always liked it on me but my 15 year old bottle went bad. It had been exposed to too many temperature changes, mostly heat, started smelling very off, almost like stale.
I purchased a 2 ounce last week. It still smells good but the latest iteration smells lighter and the performance is not what it used to be so that’s not a problem, I just carry an atomizer with me. Just wondering what others think of the 2020 version
History repeating itself. What was once common, became rare and now can be worn once again!
Nicely done...great list! Wearing Armani today...a timeless classic.
Great list. Egoiste is on my buy list. Recently bought Tobacco Reserve, and agree about the nearly gourmand nature. Gravitas arrived today, and wearing it now. A great addition to the fougere category. Love the cardamom that comes out on the drydown.
Great list Dan. It's almost as if you listed my "to buy" list. I was already planing to add Eau Sauvage Parfum, Eau Pour Homme, Egoiste, Rive Gauche, Habit Rouge and ofcourse Gravitas to my fragrance wardrobe. I only wished that Gravitas had a cap that clicks into place. But that minor issue win't stop me from purchasing it. That Aramis sounds interesting too by the way, and Guerlain really have peefected the art of making wonderful fragrance bottles.
Fabulous choices... I am a huge fan of Mouchoir de Monsieur as I am of almost all of these you mentioned. I haven't tried the Dunhill yet. And the Armani is stunning. Wish I hadn't given my bottle away when I relocated from San Francisco. Can't wait to try your fragrance. Sounds simply marvelous. So good to see you as always my friend.
You always have the best fragrance videos on RUclips.
I ordered my bottle of yours great video bro as usual
Great video! I got some of these.. as I am slowly but inevitably approaching 40 and sample more and more frags, I tend to gravitate more frequently today these mature scents which I most definitely avoided in my younger buck years.
Habit Rouge and the Eau Sauvage line are some that I definitely would love to sample soon!
Great list and review. Best regards from Brazil sir.
After seeing this video I think you have done a remarkable job with really great fragrances that most RUclipsrs don't mention.
Once again, excellent selections.
Another amazing review ! 👍👍👍 was wondering what was you're opinion on these two fragrances, eau sauvage parfum 2017 batch or xerjoff fiero ? Which would you go full bottle ?
As usual, informative, and super entertaining. That photo at the beginning, with the three young hooligans, is hilarious.
Great list Dan!
Thanks Jakub.
Dan, first, prononciation of 3e Homme de Caron was good (I am French Canadian ). Just started buying fragrances 8 months ago and in my small collection, I have these fragrances that I consider mature:
Dunhill Icon
Bentley Men Intense
Guerlain l'Homme Idéal Cologne
Guerlain Vetiver
Being in Canada, I will look into Gravitas now, seems to be in my alley. Like your videos. Merci!
Great list... Kudos!!!!
Fantastic list,, aroma from heaven
Great list, think I’ll give Chanel egoist a go. I’ve been switching between givenchy gentleman cologne & geo f trumper Sandalwood lately.
Nice video as always good sir! Egoiste is my favorite in your list.
Thank you Jake!
Great list. I really like Terre D’ Hermès. Modern mature gentleman scent. All 4 of them.
Yes great line of fragrances !
Great film. I'm 52 and my favourites at the moment are: Habit Rouge and L'Instant de Guerlain, Pour un Homme de Caron and Aqua di Parma Colonia.
Hey Dan,nice list.Theres a couple in there I haven’t tried.What happened to Gucci Envy,Pour Homme 1,Fahrenheit and Kouros?
Eau Sauvage Parfum is incredible. Great to see it included here. I think Chanel Pour Monsieur and and Guerlain Heritage would have been worthy inclusions. Great review and thanks!
Thank Koa. Those two would definitely be worthy additions to this list.
Great list Dan. I swear every time I watch your videos my to-buy list is sooo long lol. I used to wear Egoiste. I forget what it smells like. Dunhill Icon sounds pretty buyable for me. I love Habit Rouge as well. I absolutely am going to buy Bentley Intense next month- I liked the original Bentley. Tobacco Reserve is also on that list. Wafts from the Lofts are tied with you for my favourite frag channels as well as Claire. Btw we must see the same therapist because I'm in the adolescent stage at over 40 lol. But throw in my borderline personalities each like a different genre of scent so imagine buying frags {obviously} joking.....
Guess what I just got in the mail!!! I was freaked out as I was on vacation and had my neighbor pick up my parcels. I was missing two packages. So today I went to the post office, rental office, and talked to my postman. I then went on an errand and when I got back home it was on my front stoop even though it stayed it was delivered last week. I now have my Gravitas!!! And omg its amazing. And I can wear it now! Was afraid I’d have to wait for cool weather. Thanks for an amazing scent.
Thank you so much Russ. I am so glad you like it!
Excellent prononciation with Caron le troisième homme. 👍 Bravo !
Found you off the Facebook group. Just subscribed . Keep up the awesome vids.
Brut and old spice are the best!
Great list, Mr Smelly. We *knew* Eau Sauvage Parfum would be making an appearance. Really am curious about that Guerlain MDM....!!! Let's Project! 💨💨💨💨💨
Thanks Kerino! Yes MDM is great!
Great video. Would love to hear a full review of eau suavage parfum 2017. A comparison maybe . I’d get a kick out of it. I probably , just , still think the 2012 is better. But the wearability and quantity of wearing’s of the 2017 in comparison (again , just) gives it a run for its money. Cheers
This is why I love your channel all my vibe just ordered the Caron...Have you tried Gianfranco Ferre For Man the 1986 Vintage can still be found
Thank you so much Joe. No I need to try that one!
Nice picks 💪
I really enjoy your comedy and those pictures. Do you reckon I can use the Bentley for Man as an everyday signature scent that I can wear to work? I’m in my mid 30s
Just say, that I am asking you, because that is video just for me, for my age, my years of life!
Thank you very very much for this exseptional video!
Love your humor
I do like your use of the theme from "The Big Match".
Great vid. Also, where did you get the HUGE MDCI caps behind you?
Ha ha thanks Michael!
Wow you know your Dior eau sauvage fragrances. Good video Dan.
Great Video! What are your thoughts on Cartier's "Santos de Cartier edt concentree"? :) Greetings from germany
Great list and I enjoyed it and i like chanel egististe and I'm going to try the other fragrances and have a blessed day
Thanks Michael!
You welcome keep up the good work
I'd love to hear your opinion of El Paso by Lomani. A nice cheapie on the mature side
You are a creative genius I have to get my nose on your product someday
13:56 - Guerlain's Habit Rouge is my absolute all time favorite that got me into fragrances. I wear it every time when I'm going to an important meeting. Blew my mind when you told that Keith Richard likes it 😂
Nectar of the Gods!
Reputedly Connery did too. You can convince yourself you’re wearing a tweed jacket and driving an Aston with one sniff.
Christian Dior Eau Sauvage Parfum 2017&Alfred Dunhill Icon Absolute Were Great For Winter Season. But, I Recently Bought Guerlain Habit Rouge EDT&YSL Rive Gauche Pour Homme For Backup Bottle Because The Smell Doesn't Horrable&Feel Nice.
Excellent choices! Always love your descriptions-I learn a lot from your videos. Dior Eau Sauvage Parfum continues to be one of my all time favorites.
Thanks a lot Jose.
I still use Tabac aftershave and cologne. It’s spot on fresh, floral, and quite manly. These others , buggered if I know.
Gendarme? Always a fav of mine for warm weather...
Gendarme is the ultimate office scent. More so than even Prada L'homme.
I love Aramis Tobacco reserve!
Hey moo-maw thanks for the video.
Oh yes, Aramis Tobacco Reserve is a beauty. Amazing take on modern mature tobacco fragrance. One can use his Mugler Pure Havan for date and casual wear and Tobacco Reserve for proffessional occasions. Absolutely lovely.
How's the performance of Tobacco Reserve????
Thanks a lot Kombasan.
@@mercedesbenzs600bash If you apply on your clothes it will last pretty long time (never measured it actually). But it's no screamer, it's a close sitting scent. Ellegant, very smooth and despite being a tobacco scent it gives me kind of clean feel - no dirty cigarette ashy smokiness.
And the price is great so you can reapply anytime you need to.
@@kombasanpracka Thanks my man...
Creed bois Portugal for me. My grandfather always wore Aramis Tuscany but he died so I bought it in his memory. It’s dreadful but I tried.
Dan I believe habit ruse is a signature scent of Sean Connery also now that’s class 👌🏻
I was hunting for Aramis Tobbaco Reserve and got it. Good one.
Habit Rouge EDT&EDP performs 8+ hours on me,excellent all weather cologne, performs really well in rainy weather, most definitely a real MATURE scent, not for everyone....
I enjoyed this list
Thank you !
Aww I like Aramis - and I'm only 36.....you've made me feel old fashioned now.
Habit Rouge reminds me of Trix cereal in milk ... Like a Boba which is a milk tea from Taiwan with tapioca balls mixed with crushed ice .The rose reminds me of Paul Sebastian PS fine cologne a little bit like Three Flowers pomade Tres Flores ....Rive Gauche is more Barbasol shaving cream than it's Brute IMO ...
Guerlain Heritage edt is another worth considering. Mature and classy.
Good call! Agree.
I think 3o Homme by Caron is fantastic. I think it smells exactly like Bottega Venega EDP Homme.
The other fragrance Caron Pour Un Homme reminds me of is Hermes Bel Ami Vetiver and Equipage
Caron Le Troisième Homme reminds me of Hermes Bel-Ami Vetiver a lot too. They both make me think of a delicious, slightly chewy home-made spiced biscuit (cookie in American), barely half-an-hour out of the oven. Oddly, though, it doesn't go the other way (I don't think of the Caron when I wear the Hermes), and when I wear them both side-by-side, one on each wrist, I am struck more by the differences than by any similarity. Curious, that. I haven't got my nose around the Caron properly yet, but the Hermes is a love that continues to grow. I'm looking forward to autumn to wear them both again.
Anyone know if Bentley FMI is still good? People were saying it has been reformulated and is a bit shit now, not a lot of projection etc....
Gotta sample colognes yourself, your nose is the best nose....
Le 3e Homme De Caron is an absolute banger as is l'anarchiste
Mine are
Penhaligons sartorial
Guerlain l'homme edp and edt (if you can still get it)
Adp leather (I'm thinking of when I'm 60 years old lol).
Polo rl safari
Polo green
Rive gauche os awasome
Love caron third man and habit rouge
When I sampled caron the third man it smelled only like bad breathe. Idk if I got sent a bad sample but. Idk it was gross and I love bdp and lalique pH EDP.
Jicky is perfectly unisex in today's standards as it was back in the 19th century. I was told performance is better than with Mouchoir de Monsieur. The funky phase is definitely there, but only in the very beginning and from up-close. Dries down to gorgeous lavender vanilla spices mix, but by no means in that modern gooey overpowered sweet way (e.g. Le Male). It is pure class and uniqueness.
Caron it is a niche house. Great choices Dan!
Thanks Timofti.
I buy rive gauche light and intense version. Do u know these?
I have the Intense . V good . Not tried the light yet.
Le Troisieme Homme is amazing stuff. Named after the Orson Welles character, but I envision this on Charles Boyer in a tux escorting Ingrid Bergman into a restaurant.
Its stablemate is Yatagan. An opening blast of celery goes into a midrange of pine needles and patchouli, on a heavy dose of castoreum and leather. Think Clint Eastwood in “Dirty Harry.”
What about your ultimate fragrance????
Acqua Di Parma Essenza???
Definitely for mature men
Come on .. what a joke no regular Aramis! No Polo Green? No Grey Flannel? Drakkar Noir? No Old Spice or Brut? No Pinaud Clubman? If you are not rocking these then how 'mature' are you really?
I like Old school frangence from the 80s and 90s and Burberry too the 90s one and it's the 17 centry yeah I am kinda a history buff ahaha
Tuscany by Aramis would fit the bill here. So underrated and unmentioned in the community. My first grown up scent. Probably my signature.
I own a bunch of frags and I threw that on one nite and while we were out waiting to be seated the waitress and the concierge had said aloud someone smells very nice and it was 3 to 4 sprays of Tuscany by aramis 😉
How's the performance????
@@johngregorio9183 How's the overall performance????
@@mercedesbenzs600bash very good for a fairly cheap 90s scent it's good you'll like it its clean barbershopish but good not too" grandpapi ish but good😉
@@johngregorio9183 Thanks my man....
eau sauvage parfum's dry down is great, slightly vanillic with a rich substance and has insane longevity I sprayed my clothes 4 times and I could still get whiffs of it the following day.
I like your work and taste . Most of them are as good as I would say they are however Bentley no sir , Bentley scents smell synthetic in the face ... rest are just fine
Buy Gravitas Pour Homme here: naughtonandwilson.com/
Emotional age of NINE! So you are still way more mature than all the Karen's out there!
Your French is way better than almost every other RUclips fragrance reviewer. And I can tell, my wife is French 😎
Thank you Andreas!
Very good descriptions of the products 👍🏻 Your voice on the other hand has a very annoying whistle present, could be the room your in or the type of microphone your using? Sorry, but I do like your descriptions 👍🏻
I think you could have kept going on this one and added Penhaligons Sartorial Chanel platinum egoiste Azzaro pour homme intense
Sequel vid coming soon!
MrSmelly1977
Dan I mentioned to you in the past to look into Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements really great stuff I’d love to here your take on some of his products please look them up when you find the time.
Keith Richards won't be happy if he sees this! Good list, Dan.
Congratulations - I've seen a number of great reviews of Gravitas . Latest was from Ashton of Gents Scents.
Bois du Portugal makes sense for mature men.
For mature men ...like the (marble) ones behind me. Become the legend!
Is Habit Rouge the edp or edt?
I'd go EDT
@@johnscarr70 In terms of your preference out of the two or the version that you think he was using?
It took quite a while for me to appreciate Antaeus for what it is, but ever since my girlfriend first got her nose on it and buckled at the knees it's been a standout in my cold weather rotation.
Has been my "go to" scent since the 80s.
What is the name of the last one? I don't speak French and you didn't write it on the screen.
Ah sorry i forgot the caption. Mouchoir de Monsieur by Guerlain.
@@MrSmelly1977 thanks, I wasn't even close.
There is another one from Caron, L'anarchiste. Amazing stuff. It is discontinued.
All these mature scents - Egoiste (L'Egoiste as was), Eau Sauvage, Armani, and Polo Green - I was wearing these in my late teens / early 20s in the 80s - obviously old before my time. Just got a bottle of Bentley Intense on sale, after about an hour I'm getting something similar to Calvin Klein Obsession.
How can you list ysl rive guache when it's been discontinued for three years. Cant buy it anywhere.
Pick up river fougere from Dua it’s spot on to rive gauche and lasts a bit longer. I own both.
You'll always find RG on eBay. It's just a matter of how much you want to spend. IMHO fragances like RG do deserve a posthumous mention. I own and love some long discontinued bottles and it's always nice to hear someone share the love.
@@johnscarr70 but who wants to pay $250 per bottle. It's good., but...
Is it possible to get a sample of your fragrance?
I believe Decant Boutique in the US and Fragrance Samples UK in the UK stock it .
Great. Thank you
@@MrSmelly1977 what about a sample company in the EU? You know with Brexit, maybe it won't be convenient for me to buy in the UK, damn politics.
Damn..Polo Green and Aramis are too dated ☹️😢
Not if mouchoir and Habit Rouge make it.
Too bad that Guerlain Mouchoir de Monsieur was discontinued in 2019.
Armani is a dream, just so short lived I only owned one bottle. Timeless is a perfect assessment of Habit Rouge. 2 beauties.
I appear to have turned into a Scot! Very amusing, just hate that style of reviewing: I'm hot, wear this and you've got a chance with me.
Much prefer your approach. Factual but silly.
Thanks John. Yes Aramini Eau is great but not so strong. Sorry for the caricature!!!
@@MrSmelly1977 not a problem. Like the Scots fortunately, think it's another good idea for your channel.
Wot no Guerlain Vetiver!!?? 😁😁
I sell samples on ebay & probably sell more egoiste than any other fragrance for some reason but i absolutely detest it 🤢
Me too. I just cannot get along with it, want to love it but just don't.
I'm dreading the top 10 niche fragrances for immature men list. I fear I may already own most of them.
Ha ha !
