I work for Hyundai. Over the last few years they have hired design engineers from Mercedes and BMW. Thats why since 2020 you have seen a huge design shift. Hyundai is also in the process of re inviting the brand. Moving more towards luxury with Genesis and some hyundai models like the Palisade and Santa fe If you have a reputable dealer nearby you will probably notice a huge design overhaul with the dealers Hyundai is mandating the dealera be up to their new standards now. I also like how they are one of the few brands who are still producing sport/race lines of vehicles when others are abandoning it. They still have alot of things to improve on and their design quality has improved tremendously but still suffer with current gen technology they have to still figure out. In the last 5 years they have went from crap eco sht boxes to competing with Mercedes and BMW. That's a short time frame for a complete 360. They are making cars like the ionic 5 that look similar to the 74. The 74 won't be produced other than probably race applications if anything. But expect some pretty cool things in the future. I know Genesis is releasing the Gv90 later this year and that things quality is almost Bently territory. It's kinda weird going from crappy cars that can't keep a motor in them to what we have now.
Actually he already is a legend. Thats a german guy, exactly the one who designed the m3 e46. But heard he will retire end of this year. Just hope Hyundai can continue this route.

Absolutely LOVE how BMW is turning into a boring luxury brand and making all their fun cars so ugly you don't wanna buy them, meanwhile Hyundai is just chilling with Albert Biermann (BMW's former head of their M division), making some of the coolest, most fun to drive and best looking REASONABLY PRICED cars that have came along in a while. Keep it up Hyundai, you're doing great!

Look up the Hyundai Pony. Was designed by the designer of the DeLorean. Funny thing is, he designed the Pony before the DeLorean. Much of the same design cues from the DeLorean came from the Pony.

Love the return to 80s/90s aesthetics and sharp edges but so much of a car's personality comes from it's sound, it's a sad sight when I see the car shoot off and only hear some pebble on the road
This is the kind of stuff people want to see in EV cars. I want something racecar but still badass and electric. I was thinking something more in the direction of old school WRXs but yes! Could change the game for sure.

This needs to become a reality.. even in small numbers at least. Will be a great halo car for Hyundai and hydrogen/EV tech. Vision 74 definitely more Back to the Future than what the new gen DeLorean has done to their Alpha5 EV car.
Whoever is desinging the next Wave of Hyundais needs to fully embrace the Synthwave/Retro Future aesthetic because he or she will become legendary
