True. but for the normal owner you can't free to drive to anywhere away from your home and back for free each time you drive. and being money smart, you take the money spent on normal gas car services and bank it for the out of warranty unexpected repairs you still save.
I would definitely get one if I were in the position to get one. Just think of the biggest benefit is whenever you are away from your home and driving it cost you $0 dollars to drive anywhere. What Gas car allows that? if you don't have a home connector system to charge you really save money when you use the supercharge system to top off up to %70-%80, you're not harming your battery and you will gain back that $5000 and some. It's a great deal either way when you think of time length of the convenience.
Free supercharging even with the current price increase pays for itself in less than 5 years. Don't expect current utility rates to remain stabilized. Even inflation can multiply the cost savings for this perk. Absolute. Deal.
It is nice to not have to think about it. I charge at home and ONLY supercharge on road trips so I don't think it makes sense for me for my 2 to 3 road trips a year.
not "free" really. You are paying for the option up front if you are buying the Drive Anywhere plan. I know Model S "comes with' free charging... but they raised the price. Sigh. I think it's a great deal if you need to super charge a lot. For my use case, I'm not sure its a good deal for me personally.
HURRY FREE SUPERCHARGING FOR LIFE ON THE MODEL S AND MODEL S PLAID. PLUS SAVE AT LEAST $2000, EVEN MORE WHEN YOU BUY IN INVENTORY! ts.la/john613682
Its says if you do ride share they will cancel the supercharging.
They won’t know 😂 That’s something you would only report to your insurance company, not Tesla.

I've been looking to buy a Model S for some time now. I do a lot of trips on the road, so this deal was perfect for me. Bought the car immediately
congratulations on your wise purchase!!!
@ thank you!
nice video but can you explain why yur roof is so clear and not tinted?
😆 of course it’s tinted, the sun is shining. From the inside, this is how it looks.
I think it’s a good push by Tesla to create more sales for the last quarter.
I’ve read somewhere they said it’s not available to rideshare drivers
Yep it’s right on the Tesla website with this promo, in small print.

My home electricity rate between 12am -6am is $0.05. so, I schedule my nightly top offs within those hours.

$5000 for lifetime supercharger is not really worth it for everyday use. I would understand for an Uber driver or Taxi, but it's against the T&C.
I almost jumped on it. Waiting till 2025 4th quarter!!!!
Why? For Ai5? Wont have unlimited supercharging
The Model S looks ancient. It's been time for a redesign for at least 5 years now. And no, not another refresh/facelift.
