Hi, I like your vids. You should update this vid and point out it is not a GE Neri. My first GE Neri is ripening and it is huge and reddish just like the pics online. I'm growing figs in Dayton Ohio. Zone6 Thanks
my GE neri fig gives red figs. its weird because no has made videos of them. lol just you and everywhere i go they show them as red. but yours is yellow. hmmmm
Yes there are they draw less power too. I went with cmh lights because of the fecent cost compared to metal halide and their par values. I've also had a local figgyist who recommended them he was ripening black Madeira in the winter
Ben B. Seattle yeah, cmh are great lights. I've seen ramv ripening figs with them. I have my bm under an LED right now with fruit beginning to form. Your hobby is about to get a lot more expensive 😂
GE Neri? Neri means blacks in Italian. I got a tiny one a few weeks ago. The picture shows a dark fig. No idea what that is, just know its not Neri as black as it should be🤣🤣🤣
Do you know where you got that Cordi Stella? I have one from Burnt Ridge that definitely has a different leaf structure, long thin fingers that undulate, and the figs are oblong (My figs are not ripe yet however.

That's what I thought.

The GE Neri does not look like the one sold commercially. If you google it, none of the pictures are of a yellow fig.
This one is from Wagner farms
Especially since GE Neri is the largest fig variety at tennis ball size fruit.

@@gofigure4920 mine gives dark outside with reddish tones, and the inside is red, and taste like berries.
Hi Ben, I saw some GE Neri colour are brown red, so are they both same because of climate.
Have you confirmed the stella to be true to type as it is not typical in video
So glad to see something about the Ge Neri, I got one last year and it has no figs growing yet, and not much info out on it... is it a TC?
No this is a plant from cutting. It surprised me on taste. It's actually not bad. Might be a long yellow or deanna. The flavor is light honey melon.
@@BenBSeattle I think I might be a long yellow or deanna. I have one ripening up now and it's green with purple on bottom.
Looking for your CMH video I just ordered mine should be here soon. Are you doing a grow tent or just the light?
Hey Ben, have you considered using LED lights. The are some great LED's being manufactured in the states at the moment, albeit quite pricey.

Your GE Neri reminds me of my Deanna Fig. The same honey-meloney aftertaste...could it be the same?? Thanks for sharing your video.
There's a strong possibility. The size is similar too
@@BenBSeattle Neri means blacks in Italian soooo🤥

Mine came from burnt ridge in 2015. at 2.50 there are finger leaves on the plant. I swear figs are so finicky they behave so unpredictably sometimes
Too much water and too hot under the cover.
Hi Ben, do you know where I can get same as your GR Neri? Thank
Not sure mine might not be the correct type though
