We've had spectacular fall weather! I'll bet you're loaded with great tasting figs this year. Thanks for the great vid, you've convinced me to go after the CDDN.

Great video. I have been wanting to get a col de dame noir for next year...you’re really pushing me over the edge! Is this your only col de dame variety?

My in ground Col de Dama Noire is by far the best! My BM and I-258 are not ripe yet. Nice review.

I've got a whole bunch of CdDN figs that should ripen for me this year on a young in ground tree in the Phoenix area. I hope they are half as good as yours. Nice video!

Awesome I’m getting my Antonio’s Black cuttings soon. I’m betting they have not gone dormant at this time of the year so I’ll have to root them as soon as I get them. Love the story behind it and Peter states it came from KK who was friends with Antonio.

Hi Ben this my first season figging I have three tree's in root pouches my panache did great. My violette de bordeux was late producing but is still ripening figs for me now but my Olympian gave me some nice figs in the spring but around late July here in pheonix the leaves started yellowing, I feed organic fertilizer every two weeks (lightly) I can't see bugs but could I email you some pics and get your thoughts? The Olympian is still swelling figs

    • @BenBSeattle

The heat might be causing the yellowing. Your better off with late figs in your climate

Thanks I'll put the shade up earlier next season, any suggestions on a couple varieties to try down here? And will I need to wait until the tree goes dormate before pruning for cuttings? Thanks I really appreciate the advice and I was wanting to try the lasagna method I learned from your video.

Non of them are worth having except Col De Dam Noir. I don't know why but America is missing a real big black fig.

@@BenBSeattle Would you say it'd be a good one to plant in Houston, Tx as far as productivity goes or would you put something else in the ground if you're limited on good spots in the ground with full sun?
