On the new 3ds xl it will work if you take the bottom plate off so it clicks in farther

You can put it in a new 3DS XL if you tilt the action replay into the cart slot, press down the spring, then insert the action replay. Did it for years before mine broke. This can damage your 3DS though.

It stinks that the New 3ds xl doesnt work with it. Thats one of the only consoles i can see games on. I never had a normal new 3ds so i dont know about that one.

I think so. Never had an issue, myself!
I know you commented this a year ago, but I recently bought one off marketplace and realized it needs to be updated to version 1.4.5. So basically I had to find a USB cord off Amazon that works for my action replay so that I can connect it to my computer to update it to that specific version. As that’s the version most DSis are nowadays. So it’ll work, but a lot of them need updating and if you don’t have the right USB cord for it your hooped.
@@LeamonPuppy before you updated it, would it at least show up on the screen when you inserted the action replay?
Mine doesn’t. But if you say you had the same problem I can try ur solution and save over 100$ lol action replays so expensive and unreliable so haven’t brought myself to do it
@@DanielC00100 it did show up, when I clicked on it the screen went white though. And I tried researching the reason and everyone said a white screen means it’s outdated.
I'm thinking of getting one again. I was about 10 years old playing with these, I had bad experiences with these, I took very good care of them, but they ended up crapping out on me within a month or less. Is this because I had them used? If so, how long does a brand new one last?

@@Mikeinoidit can you just gotta push in the rom lock on the right side of the rom slot. Shine a torch in and you will see a plastic bit with a spring behind it, push that in with a toothpick till you feel it click then the action replay can fit. On eBay There is an DSI Action Replay but on the Photo there is no yellow in the Card and there stand no Updates Like yours. This one on eBay is black in the background. Can i still Buy it and it goes for the Nintendo 3DS?
I would say no just because someone in the comments said that it didn’t work with their 3DS

It's not hard but depending on the code it can be tedious.
What about my action replay that just says action replay DS. Not action replay DSI. I can’t use my replay device because I have a dsi and dsi xl????
Not too sure. If you have a regular DS or DS Lite you should try it
@@Mikeinoid I just did. It does not work the action replay “DS” with the black label sticker does not load onto dsi or dsi xl. I see stuff about updates via windows computer that I don’t have. So I’m looking at a useless action replay lol
@@KodyTheOhioanif your actreplay came with a cable you can try to update it and try again to see if it works with your 3ds
@@kongbanana8947 I got access to a DS Lite that worked with the action replay and I used Japanese games so I needed Japanese codes. But I got it to work out
Console must be hacked to use the AR? Or can be brand new to use it?
With the AR I use, the systems don’t need to be hacked.
Does it have fire red cheats from gba port to ds lite I can't remember
I don’t think so
Mine didn't work in the og 2DS, like it fit, but I just tells me there's an error and to shut it off

How do you get them to work? It just tells me to power the system off qhen I open them on 3DS

@@MikeinoidYes, the exact same one on the 3DS XL. It cam read it but not run it
You might need to clean it or try using a different DS/3DS

i regret selling my action replay man i need it back but i would have to find every store and seller it has went too😓 and i got ripped the fukk off i should've gotten $150-200 for it but i was bonked worse than most that day, i will get a new one soon for a reasonable price that is in good condition mine was in excellent condition and had over 5000+ games & mods man its sickening but i have faith ill come across a few $40-80 ones if not get real lucky and find someone selling them for $20 bucks in great condition and they work too ill be over the moon
