@@noitsbecky.4291 nah it's not that, her confidence is back which you can just see. Even without makeup, Maddie is stunning! You can tell she feels better in herself not just physically but mentally. She's glowing from the inside!

This is one of the best underground builds I have seen. Looks very natural and a suprising amount of light.
Love how while Deli is building an underground house, James has made a challenge about the tallest building possible, talking about a great duo 🥰
The wind turbines that are roof pieces don't break so you were right to use those ones 😊

Happy kids with reasonable parents don't sneak out. When it happens occasionally nothing bad will happen

@@emilwandel Uh, I snuck out of the house all the time as soon as I could reach the doorknob, and I had a happy home life. It's just that the neighbors had big fish tanks, or another neighbor had a box of puppies in their garage, or there was a thunderstorm and I wanted to jump in the puddles. Seriously, everyone in the neighborhood had my parents' phone number so they could call when I showed up.

@@elsie4802 It was, except for developing pneumonia I had to be hospitalized with at 3 years old due to puddle-jumping while already sick. Oops!
I think we definitly should be able to at least add some trees to the world around the lots
what if you want to make a house surounded by trees? it's just gonna look weird when all the trees are right next to your house and not around the lot
I get why modifiying the terrain could be very buggy but at least landscaping should be added
i heccin love underground houses. this one just inspired me to make one in oasis springs, it's like all dry on the topside, but there's tons of plants inside.
I absolutely love the colour scheme with all the soft colours 😍 I just did a build with only tones of grey, yellow and purple and it was so relaxing for the eyes 💛💜
I remember I did one YEARS ago and it was so fun to built, I had my aliens living there away from puny humans

To answer your question on CC...I prefer when you don't use it as I'm on console. However I do enjoy some of your videos showing off CC packs, and your most recent one of your merch was so cute! As usual it made me wish we could have CC on console! Either way though I'll always watch you, you were the first simmer on RUclips I started watching I can't remember how long ago and I love you and James! ❤️🥰💯

Honestly to me the first thing underground brings to mind is hobbit hole so the fact that your mind goes on kind of the opposite direction is quite funny to me

And I thought of the dugouts in Coober Pedy in the middle of Australia. Most houses are underground there, because temperatures can get pretty extreme on the surface but the dugouts stay at a constant 24°C all year.
I was a bit apprehensive on how this would turn out at first but it looks absolutely stunning!
I really appreciate that you always explain how you place things (ect. brackets for sizing up and down.) I've been playing for like 15 years now, but I still don't remember how to do everything. 💜
The way I get around making underground lots look like they get natural light is I build a little room behind the actual rooms add lots of lighting or remove the ceiling or use glass floor so light gets in. Sometimes I make an outer room and fill it with little trees and grass flooring and sky like wallpaper so it looks like it's outside. Or make a pool surrounding the room so it looks like it's underwater.
I like both maxis builds and cc builds. I like seeing the cc in actual builds, it helps me in my own builds to figure out how it works in game. Love your builds, you inspire me to build outside my usual style. 😺💕

I think this build was great! The idea of an underground house never crossed my mind, and the fact that looks pretty good from the outside just encourages me to try building one! I loved how you blended the roofs and it wasn't just a flat surface above the house - I'm really impressed! Keep it up
I love the breakfast food paintings. We recently watched Parks and Rec and Ron Swanson has a picture in his office that is just bacon and eggs. It's iconic.
I love it, these types of builds are always a trust the process but they turn out beautiful in the end ❤️. I also like just maxis builds from you because I see a lot of different ways to style items I wouldn’t usually use.
There’s a channel Local Project that seems to be all in Australia and they have some incredible modern homes they show and some I’ve tried to recreate but it’s so hard when we can’t lift the “basement” to have windows and stairs don’t like to work right to a certain extent when doing lower levels from an above platform or ground floor
once again shocked by how good deli is at landscaping 😍 also I don’t mind occasional minimal amounts of cc (like this build with the delicious kitchen pack!) but I really love to see the amazing things you do with the maxis stuff! (ps !!! you are glowing today!!!! so stunning 😍)
Oh, I sooo agree on the shelving issue in the Sims! Only a handful of items ever really fit the shelves and I'm always stuck with the same things all the time. I wish they did something with that bc there are items that could feinitely fit but they don't! Also, that Dine Out painting is one of my favs as well
Deli! I personally prefer maxis builds because I don't use CC myself and I enjoy seeing the creative way you use what's given to us. BUT I know you like CC and it inspires you, AND supporting CC creators is AMAZING. So I like this balance you've struck between the two.
When you first started I didn’t know how it could be good but with the landscaping and the trees it really started coming together

I love to see you use cc. The paintings in the dining are my fav to use there too, and I also often use a a round rug that has fruits in a circel when you go to the purple swatch. It's not cc, but I can't remember if it's basegame or not. Love the build!
I started watching Next Level Chef because of you and I love it as much as you. I can't believe how quickly they put a meal together!!!
I don't know if it's been mentionned but what I like to do in underground builds is fake exteriors. As in I'll build a bedroom with a window and behind the window I'll make a 1 by 4 room and fill it with plants, paint the walls blue, put grass on the floors, etc.
I've also build a Batuu themed underground living room, and instead of windows, I put arches, and created a 2 tiles wide corridor all around and filled it with plants and objects, I also use Jungle adventure wall plants. It's not an area where you can walk in, but it looks really cool.
You can then remove the ceiling for a more natural feel or keep it to have a dystopian vibe.
When is James going to make his own cc 😳🤔🥰

I had an underground home for one of my sims in Stranger Ville. I loved to play in this house. I had a lot of plants in it and a ton of windows to channel the light inside from above. I kinda wish I could have a house like this.

Honestly, I wish underground homes were more common in real life. They would be potentially much safer from sever weather (but possibly more expensive)
For me it doesn’t matter if you build with CC or EA stuff because your builds ALWAYS look cool. And I’m not just saying that. In an alternate universe you are definitely a famous architect/interior designer, Deli!
I was literally working on the treehouse one a minute ago. This has been a super fun challenge!
First thing that came to mind with an underground house is like a survivalist bunker type thing. So have loads of terrain above but like a secret door to the house 😮
I love the courtyard. I really LOVE doing underground homes especially on small lots so the sims can maximize gardens.. I usually put a pond or pool on at least one side... sometimes all sides and put in giant windows. It lets in light and you can add things in the pond (even fish!) to give the Sims a nice view.... but it's still private as other sims can't see in really ... unless they went swimming!
I love this house and I will use it. When you live in a place that had 11 tornados in one night and spent an entire morning in a storage room at your school kneeling down with your forehead against the floor and your hands covering your head, only to head back to class in time to see the tornado flying overhead backdropped by a blue sky, you seriously consider an underground house. I would love to do that here when we build the new house but our watertable is too high. Need to drop a well? You don't need a diviner you just need to start digging. three feet down and you hit water.

I love this! I would definitely download and play in this. I've made underground houses a few times, usually with a survival type of vibe. It's like an underground bunker and I always put super paranoid sims in them 🤣

This turned out so beautiful! I was unsure about the concept. You made it look so happy and homey and not like a bunker or dungeon! You asked for feedback about CC. I personally prefer without. I think the amount in this one was okay. Just a little here and there and easily replaceable like some clutter or window, not like a whole room. :)
Loved this built! I like CC built together with the Sims 4 original content but it's good to know where they came from so I can install them. I thought that a funky underground bar/restaurant would be an interesting concept as well.
If you have the grid on, you can place plants on top of the open room!

I would never want to live in an underground house but in the Sims, sure. 🤣

To answer your question: I wouldn't mind at all seeing some more builds with cc. I think it's fun to see what people create with their builds. Also it gives me new cc inspiration. But the maxis only is also fine and enjoable to watch :)

i loved this! my one craving was i thought it would be awesome to make the upper part look like a public nature walkway with a dirt path and make it almost like a functional private park???? also i always love seeing cc builds so maxis only is still good but i like the elevated aesthetic opportunity of cc
I feel like the interior and in particular the color setting is giving me Scandinavian vibes I see a lot of interiors like this here in Sweden, we don’t like color and are obsessed with light, neutral and minimalist interior 😅

use the sliders hun! it will help get the look you want for your terrain. you can change how fast and how strong the tool is.

As someone who can't always afford to buy new sims packs, it is really nice seeing you use CC that is more accessible.
So in order to make underground builds be a little more pleasant, I add windows and then terrariums using plants, lights, and fountain objects. This was a really good idea for a series. As for this build, we have eco underground builds where I live and they are really eco-friendly and economical houses to live in!
Love the build Deli, but I gotta say, if I was anyone, specially a kid, I would hate having to go through the patio to go to the bathroom. Personally I like the light colors, its very relaxing. and I like all the outdoor spaces available, even more how many windows there are and because its underground you don't have to worry about privacy.
I love 'base building' in video games so I often make Sims builds that feel remote and secure or camouflaged. This build is very much the vibe.
I love this kinda style so much, it's so odd and almost sci-fi in a really nice way. Reminds me a lot of the weirder stuff from Sims 2 that I miss. 10/10!

I am picturing Knox and Tina Tinker have run away from their families and have renovated an underground bunker to be an eco home, and they have a few roommates for income and then they forage for fruit and vegetables and live without spending a lot of money.
I use the delicious kitchen sink in literally ALL of my kitchens and I use the rest of the pack stuff all the time too!!
