Serve the Lord with fear and celebrate his rule with trembling. Kiss his son, or he will be angry and your way will lead to your destruction, for his wrath can flare up in a moment. Blessed are those who take refuge in him- Psalms 2: 11-12.

    Tips
    1. Seal ends with an oil or butter.
This will tame the curls and provide it with a glide thus keeping your ends smooth and slippery which makes them less likely to get caught onto each creating the knots.
    2. Avoid wash n go’s. After the first hour of your wash and go, your hair dries up in a loose, free state, and if you have any type 4 hair, you know it will naturally shrink up and they can get tied in knots this way. You don’t have to stop your wash n go's completely, but if your hair has the potential to knot a lot, you might wanna reduce these.
    3. Wear a satin bonnet to sleep. Friction with your pillowcase will cause your hair strands to move around freely leading to more knots. Wearing a satin cap reduces the chances of friction, thereby reducing knots as well.
    4. Twist your hair and tuck the ends. You can use these rubber bands that don’t get caught in your hair or use rollers or flexi rods
    5. For 4C hair, Heat isn’t all bad.use the blow dry with heat tension method, threading method or the banding method.
    6. Detangling: the thicker and kinkier your hair is,try to do more finger detangling. I know it’s tedious but your hair will thank you for it. Detangle thoroughly but gently, with a wide tooth comb (other combs can tighten existing knots and make them harder to detangle.)
    7. Hairstylists are not your best friend! Especially those who asked you to wash and detangle your hair 4C hair before showing up. I often found that these stylists weren’t equipped to do my Curly hair. They were very harsh with it, and didn't use the adequate detangling tools.
    (copied lol 😛)

Getting rid of SSKs require your ends to be clumped, lubricated and weighed down, so gel, oil/butters and stretching will reduce them. Your ends can still shrink on themselves in twists/braids.

Plus i always keep my hair stretched so wash day has been a breeze for me. I finger detangle with my diy aloe vera and african black soap shampoo.

By lowering the pH of your scalp, ACV flattens and closes the hair cuticle. This makes your hair smoother and easier to detangle, shinier, less frizzy, less prone to breakage and more moisturized"--Google. let me know your results

Are your strands thin or do you have low density (less hair per follicle)? You can do scalp massages to wake up dormant follicles, but you can't change the thickness of your strands. Diet could be a factor as well.
