    1. Fenugreek seeds- soak in water for 24-36hs and use in spray bottle to hydrate hair daily
    2. Don't comb kinks, put in protective styling (that lasts 4-6 weeks). I.e. cornrows, crochet, braids. At most, use wide tooth comb
    3. Use natural products
    4. Scalp massage with olive, avocado and coconut oil for penetration. Jojoba and grapseed oil for slip and shine
    5. Conditioner with slip like sauve coconut
    6. Have a wash routine. Don't brush when really wet or really dry. Use blow-dry tension method or threading
    7. Detangle hair before seeing any stylist, or do ur own hair
    8. Moringa powder in smoothies and teas
    9. Leave your hair alone
    10. Go natural

As a dark skinned 4c hair having girl it gives me comfort in your experience because I can relate & I believe what you say will work because you look like me (representation is everything) I have hit a road block in my hair growth journey & I figured my hair would not grow anymore. I did the "big chop" in hopes to retrain, strengthen & regrow my hair. I have been up almost 2 days researching Fenugreek & adding it to my hair regimen. I am have purchased your moisturizer & I'm making your suggestions my hair bible. A woman's hair especially a black woman's hair is verrry important to who she is & how she moves. I have prayed on this & I know this will make a big difference. I am an avid follower now. I am so grateful I found your channel.

My honest opinion is that. Individually we have to take pieces of information from here and there. Pieces of routine from here and there. Pieces of this and that. Get to know your hair. Love your hair. Own your hair. Pay attention to your hair. Be patient with your hair. Leave your hair. Figure out what works for your hair and stop minding other people's hair business. That's what worked for me.

Crochet, faux locs and braids are what I do and I don't let anyone in my hair except my mother and I. Hairstylists always try to get me bald I wouldn't let them touch me with a 10 feet pole. If you don't like crochet; wigs and weaves do the job.

I love that you're speaking about the health of your hair, follicles, shaft, and cuticles. Your passion is infectious. You should not have to go through all that...before... you see your stylist!!!! Girl, that breaks my heart that your stylist isn't interested in the health of your hair. Fire them!!!!!!!!!! A great hairdresser teaches you how to properly care for your hair by doing just that. I loooove my hairdresser, I'm almost at operation waist length because of her. Even when I had to stop going to her because I couldn't afford to, she taught me how to properly care for my 4c hair. Stylist/hairdressers that don't have this type of passion...need to find a new line of work.

W.Cinderea I gave my hair a thorough brushing with conditioner in the shower to get all the tangles out before I started finger detangling, also it makes it easier to finger detangle if you do it before it has a chance to get super tangled. The more I did it the easier it got (I wear my hair in wash n gos) I limit to using a tool to once a month if that.

For the first time ever in my life, and I am 62, I got crochet braids. I took them out myself and did not know that there were some braids, of my own hair that I did not take down. I washed my hair and it matted. In a panic I pulled out my hair trying to comb through it and now its thin. I retained some of the length but the thickness has gone. I was so angry with myself and now I am afraid of protective styles, such as, braids. I always wanted them and when I finally had them I screwed my hair up. I am going to start this journey again and try to learn about my own hair. I have been natural for at least 13 years. Recently I have been doing a lot of blow outs. I do not know what to do with my hair. I was going to cut it all off, then I remembered and you clarified that, a woman's hair is her glory. My hair is still healthy, I think, but every since that incident last year it is thinning. I am excited to use your products and begin a hair routine. My stylist does not treat my hair with love and tenderness. She pulls and tugs. I am going to take control of my own hair journey and get it back.

You're so right about not detangling on wet hair, esp if you have fine hair like me. Even though our hair is stronger than straight hair and can be combed wet without being ripped to shreds doesn't mean it's still not in a very weak state.
It's best to detangling on DAMP/slightly wet hair period.
Your hair isnt constantly shrinking up on it's self either like it does when wet=more progress.
I learned that the hard way when I used a tangle teezer in shower😭

I disagree about the protective styling. My hair is almost tailbone length and I have been washing my hair every week for the past 3 years and i put in my weekly twist and my hair is moisturized and my ends are tucked aka protected and for the entire week! you don’t have to have your hair tucked away for 4-6 weeks for it to be considered a protective style that’s false information ma’am! other than that nice tips

I use aloe vera, honey, Jamaican Castor Oil, and olive oil. I had to experiment with different hair products. What works for you doesn't mean it going to work for everyone else.
