In measure 39 it's amazing how he makes a D major chord in a key signature with two sharps sound like a strange and foreign chord, almost out of the diatonic scale somehow. Well, at least that's the way my ears hear it. Edit: I guess it's because, with that chord we finally get a harmonic resolution, a "pure," and "perfect" chord without dissonance, something that sounds rather strange and out of place relative to all the previous chords, all the tension which was built up.
The key at that point basically modulated from the original D to G, so the D major chord there acts as a dominant chord waiting to be resolved in the next bar.
That's always been one of the most interesting aspects of Satie's piano work to me. Through harmonic movement and interesting chord voicings, he can make plain chords give off a very unfamiliar feeling. It always feels like something out of a dream, with its mystique and haziness.
sorry to be so off topic but does someone know of a method to get back into an Instagram account..? I somehow lost my password. I appreciate any tips you can offer me!
Anyone know how to enter thoae elongated note stems telling the performer to include a note on the treble clef in the left hand accompaniment in MuseScore notation software?
I'd say that Minecraft's music sounds like this! Satie laid the groundwork for ambient music in this style. I'd guess C-148 takes more inspiration from the ambient side of Aphex Twin than this, but that's just me guessing.
Does anyone know whether this piece was featured by a 70s/80s group like Chicago on one of their albums? I know that's how I was introduced to this piece.
Real pleasure when I listen to this beautiful music. Thank you.

He uses C natural note in the previous bar

Beautiful!
Thanks for the sheet music, I really appreciate it! Although, too much rubato for no.1 imho.
It's almost like they're the same piece. One naturally flows into the next

I like how thieves like UMG and LatinAutor blatantly claim music like this that was published a century ago.
?
They're not claiming the music, they're claiming the recording. Classical pianists have the rights to their recordings.
Gracias.
How can u tell bpm I’m a beginner
Great 👌

I think you're thinking of Blood Sweat and Tears! (Name of the band and the album)

which piaist
the first movement is wayyyyy too fast
Jonathan Moreau all of them. What a pity
play 0.75x speed
Exactly! It clearly says "Lent et douloureux"
Could the arrangment of Jeanne de Bret be the cause of this fastness?
Not really

Zu ruckelig für meinen Geschmack. Es gibt keinen Grund für die rubati.

It was likely your internet connection/youtube setting it that way, cos it's fine at my end.

Aw, so this where Minecraft got it from.
This sounds rushed.
it is
bit slow gets boring
It's ambient music, designed not to entertain but to be ignored in the background
Isn’t that the point
@@DitraLids It's certainly not ambient music
It gives you ample time to think about the past, present and future all in one tune. Relax and enjoy.
