She would take a break from her chores to sit down and play it while I sat next to her on the piano bench. Not having any time to practice, she would make mistakes here and there, but I didn't mind because she would play with such sweet expression. This song will always remind me of her.

I heard this in the car radio and I was overwhelmed by its sensitivity & beautiful composition. Don’t think I need to say any more about the greatest composer (my opinion).
I played this at my piano concert and everyone was congratulating me. My piano teacher was moved. An unknown man came to me and said how wonderful I had played. I am proud of myself for learning this piece. It's beautiful
I learned this song when I was in late 5th grade. I listened to it everyday and played it everyday. To this day, it still remains my favorite classical piece.
I started playing this last night and when I was practicing today my grandson came out and sat down and listened studiously - something he never does! Every time I stopped he told me to keep going. It’s so simple but there is so much movement and feeling here.
Absolutely beautiful. It makes a hole in my heart. He tries to fix it by modulation to major tonality, but the emotion he makes at first is so deep that it can't be fixed.
Me too! Schubert's Fantasy in F Minor D. 940 is almost as lovely, though, and Kassia plays it really beautifully here on RUclips. If Schubert/Liszt is your thing, she also plays Ave Maria and it's a gorgeous arrangement. Would also recommend checking out all of Erik Satie's Gnossiennes played by the late great Reinbert de Leeuw. Just search it, there's a video of him just a little while before he died playing them all. They're the strangest, most haunting soul food.
Wonderful music with such a strong Romantic period vibe. It touches heart with the intimate Minor. It could stir sad feelings for some or cozyness for others.
Somehow, it reminds me of my carefree, dreamy childhood days. I was often taken to daydreaming, and somewhere among my childhood recollections, this tune comes to mind.....

ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE WITH THIS PIECE!!!I have heard this tune when I was about 5, and to my shame being a pianist and oboist, I barely found out the name of it! This piece should be listed among the top melancholic piano pieces (if there was a list), among Chopin's C# minor nocturne...
