bought the g425 max 10.5 deg with reg shaft 55g. Im a 13 handicap and love it! Best driver ive had for 10yrs (replaced my 917f2)

I just had a fitting from my local driving range in Darwin in The Northern Territory Of Australia of the G425. I brought one and love it. I just need to wait until it gets delivered then I will give it a great workout.

Another great review Al,I’ve read that these are only available in Australia and Asia for now.The sound remains me of my old Callaway FT 3 Fusion driver which by the way was a great driver but loud.

I would love to hear your impression versus the previous versions of Ping drivers, G410, G400.... is it worth the upgrade versus the G400?

Still with you xD Excellent video - pretty sure I’m doing this the wrong way round as I bought the LST last week. Absolutely loving it, and getting really nice numbers. Put it in a 70g S rogue for even lower spin and it really goes on a good strike. Most importantly though, it’s still in play with reasonable distance on a Medium/poor strike. Great Club. Great video. 👌
Great review - it’s good to see on a day you are striking it 100% pure because Ping is all about forgiveness. Keep up the amazing content

Between covid and having 3 kids all under 5yo I couldn't get on the golf course for 10 months so I spent 5,000$ on a skytrak and making a simulator room and have kept my handicap at +1... was +1.8 before covid
I like Ping but haven’t been excited by the look of their drivers since the G30 this one looks nice 🤗
Funny thing is I took mine out on the range for the first time today and after three shots the bloke next to me asked what I was hitting because it sounded so different! Aside from the sound what a great driver all round!
Man, I thought my G410+ was loud. That thing sounds like a Concord passing overhead at super sonic ...BOOM!
Love that Ping what do the head covers look like? also is it louder then the G400MAX and G410 plus or is it jus the studio. Well done! can't wait for a demo out on the course.

Hey Al, great video as always, I’m after a bit of advice. I’m a draw player as well (sometimes a blocker), I have a Callaway Rogue and I’d like to upgrade. Any ideas on a good replacement. My driver speed is more around 100 - 105 mph, wish I could bloody hit it like you mate. Doesn’t have to be Ping either.
I have the 410 so forgiving and straight, great drivers I am a Ping convert

How do you feel the 425 LST compares to the 410 LST? I just got the 410 LST earlier this season, and I feel like improvement off of an already great driver would be hard to achieve...

Had a hit with one of these this afternoon (max for this golfing gumby) First ping g driver i have ever hit and i liked it alot. I suspect the treasurer is not going to ok it in the budget though 😪

This is the club I've been waiting for love my g400 but hate the brown shaft they came in cant wait to get this murdered out version
G400 is a good looking rooster with the gold shaft but the G425 may now be the prince of the prom. I like the matt black top living in Oz where glare can be a problem..and thumbs up to the turbulators as it stands out in the crowd of plain..and offers downward pressure to prevent topping (maybe)..
Can you please do a comparison to the G410 and then to Sim, Mavrik cheers

I knew this driver was coming, but couldn’t wait so bought the 410 SFT. OH WELL! I guess the 410 will be the holiday driver from now on in..... when I say holiday, I mean the long shot chance of getting some Portugal/Spain golf in some §time soon 🙏 Still gonna buy this 425 though. Fact.

What are the weights of rear tungsten replacement weights available for changing swing weight due lighter/heavier shafts and grip weights?

Was actually surprised to see the 'lst' be a low spin driver even with the weight system in the back :/ testament to the club designers at Pings!
Ping wouldn't buy just because of the noise (love my F9) but wow 2020 drivers are crazy good and Ping is right there with the best!
P.s gotta love that they can offer you a low spin driver that still has such great forgiveness!

I LOVE TURBULATORS! Seriously. I love looking down at my Ping with the matte finish and Batmobile wings.
Me too when I look down at a driver without Turbulators it doesn’t look right 🤣
My thoughts exactly. That matte finish and the turbulators is a SICK combo that just makes the look provide so much inspiration and confidence. I hope Alex does another review on which shafts will be offered with the 425.

Thinking on switching to mizuno. I’m a ping user but find that I’m inconsistent with them on the course.

I am a high HC player, struggling with slicing with Driver (actually not just driver, but with fairway Wood as well but they are not as bad as Driver..) I have a huge interest on those new Ping G425 models and which one would be recommended for the player like me.
Quick question do you know if the standard shaft sc55grams is still 1\2in longer , as I had ordered the g410 lst with it and have been told by ping that its no longer avabile so will be ordering the new 425 lst and need the shaft 1/2 longer? Cheers mate

Love the look of the Drivers and fairway woods / hybrids. But slightly disappointed with the look of the G425 irons. I was so hoping that they would look like a cross between the i500 and G710 irons.
They look ok, but just not what I was hoping for...

The review should focus on a head to head between the 410 and the 425. This would help current 410 users and those looking to convert to Ping (as 410s will now become cheaper off the shelves).

I was fitted last Friday for a G410 driver, Ping are telling me the 425 won't be out in the UK till next year, I can't imagine there will be a huge jump in performance..........or is there?

So the G400 Max was never replaced in the G410 series. That still had a higher MOI than the G410 Plus. The G425 Max replaces the G400 Max. It has an additional 16 yards of slice correction than the G400 Max did.
