This is my car so to clean a few things up, the engine was replaced at around 80-90k miles due to oil consumption (original 2000 car) prefacelift. At 345k, the chain guides and rod bearings and vanos were done. The car made over 200PSI of compression on all 8 cylinders prior to the supercharger install, and it only burns about a half quart every 1500 or so miles. Which is LESS than the factory manual says. The black smoke, is it running rich due to the tune. It will probably need valve guide seals as sometimes it smokes blue, which is fine at the mileage doesn’t bother me. Trans is stock, internals are stock. The S62 can handle a good bit of power. Stock, the car put down 325whp which is above average, and now I don’t know. But I’d assume 480-500whp. It’s my daily, and it’s never let me down. Has been the most reliable vehicle I’ve owned and the most fun.

Hard Driven Daily BMWs never have issues, its only when they sit and short runs. Love my f10 n63

What brand supercharger is that? I have a VF engineering supercharger on my E39 that just like that set up but they say its not engineered for a blow off valve😩

E12,E28,E34,E39,E60s can go over 300k miles if properly maintained, and properly maintained meaning like your on top of your game with care of the car not standard care. Oil changes before the car even asks you. Changing things before time decides. Which sounds ridiculous but if you feel like something is going out, you fix it. Which I do and my X5 has treated me well and haven’t spent much since I’m on top of that.

This is a guy who knows his cars. True enthusiast. 2 of the most proper m-line vehicles coming from bmw in the vid. And really the only kind that really matter (naturally aspirated). These new m's 2015- present with the turbos are good but still meh... at the same time. Turbo-charging is cheap power and kills some of the car feedback experience. It's like hot-sauce; u can put that sh#t on everything. Even automakers without prestige and racing roots pooping turbos on everything and claiming they're selling a sports car 😂. I rather have the old bimmer models.
