I enjoy all your videos...really look forward to them. Thanks for sharing your new yarn purchases. I think the fluffy yarn is my favorite. Have a wonderful day.
Oh, that's so lovely. Thank you! I appreciate you being here, and part of my RUclips family. That gave me a smile knowing the fluffy yarn is your favorite. 💗
@@cabinfevercrochet Sounds great, and I am trying to finish a new poncho design to film before next weekend! LOL! I am living on the edge! Smiles from J.
@@cabinfevercrochet Sounds great! Since I am working from a chart, I hope to have Part 1 done by the weekend? We are up in the 60s, but perfect for crockpot cooking! LOL!! Smiles from J.
I love the Hobbii Bamboo with a 3.25 or 3.75 mm hook to make dresses, summer tops or other clothing items. I make clothing items mainly. Even the cotton you have I get the 8/4 cotton for clothing items and it works up great also! I wouldn't double the bamboo but I would make something wearable not hats and shawls but something like a top or dress.
Hi! I can definitely see going down the smaller hook for garments. A summer top would be wonderful; and I can tell it'll have amazing drape and softness, with nice stitch definition. Kind of wish I'd gotten enough to make one! Great to know about the cotton 8/4! Thanks so much for you thoughts on it all! 💗💗
Thank you for the reviews! I haven't purchased from Hobbii yet because I can't afford to not be able to use the yarn I don't care for. You reviewed some of the yarns I've been considering. I now feel confident ordering a few different ones and eliminating one. Thank you Helene!😊🧶
I'm glad my review helped with your decisions! Even after all these months, when I look at that fuzzy yarn, it feels like such a waste. I do hope to turn that around and come up with something, yielding happy results! 😃 At least I now know, what not to get the next time, LOL! 😅
Goodness, you look MARVELOUS in green!!! I have a voucher for Hobbii and so many “wishlist” items, too. I feel you on the not-making-decisions-during-health issues situation. Oof. Lol All of the yarns are beautiful! The two pinks (ballerina and dusty rose, I believe) would be lovely as an ear warmer and/or head band, perhaps?! Though I’ve not made either of these; maybe even boot cuffs or leg warmers? I love the idea of a vest with the “fuzzy” yarn…although, I’m definitely still more of an amigurumi “yarner”, so far. You know what?! Your ENTIRE video has GREATLY inspired this sorta newbie! Thank you! Hugs from Ohio! Brrrr…🥶🫶🏻🧶 Lisa
Oh wow, thank you!!! I've been really into green lately. Perks up my spirit, yet soothing at the same time. I sure appreciate you ideas! Head band/ear warmers are a great idea for the bamboo yarn, during transitional seasons. I'd need 3 or 4 of them layered on top of each other for winter here! 😅
Hi Helene! Beautiful yarn! I have not purchased any yet from Hobbii. The colors are lovely! Like you, I have so many planned projects and not enough time. I really like the Universe colors with the metallic. Stay well and keep in touch 🤗
Hi There, Tia! I went back-and-forth so many times trying to decide, for my first order! It was a fun and nice surprise seeing it in person. Hobbii sure has a nice selection of lovely yarn, and their shipping is very reasonable. 😍
Hi Helene, your hat and cowl are so pretty,we haven't had the weather yet to break out cold weather gear. I think it was almost 80 degrees here today, it will be colder next week. Your yarn is all so beautiful, the mauve and peachy color would look so nice if you combined them.I've never ordered from Hobbii, I have too much yarn lying around my house "for inspiration" as you put it. Thank you for the review, so nice to see you today.
Hi Cheryl! I hope you're enjoying a nice Sunday. Wow, 80 degrees! Beach weather! In the 40s today, sitting outside in the warm sun. I mostly need to work through my stash; but fun exploring and trying new yarn. Especially since my taste has changed over the last few years. I sure do like those mauve and peach colors. ☺
Okay, that hat is life! You're not to far from me. =) I just got my first order of Hobbii about a month ago as well. I haven't used any of the yarns yet as I have 2 other projects that have to come first. But I'm excited to work with it for sure! Marled effect with those 2 pinks would be beautiful!
Yay, so glad you like it! Now that's what I call willpower. Finishing your other projects first, before playing with your new yarn! More fun stuff to look forward to! I was wondering if you also live in the northwest somewhere. Brrrr...sure can get cold. I sleep with a mound of blankets too!
@@FreehandlyMadeAuCrochet Oooo that's VERY cold! We get temps like that and even sub-zero at times; but I'm sure even more-so where you are. I had to look up the area, and wow, SO beautiful! Looks like our kind of place. Except maybe a wee bit colder than I'd prefer; but as with most things in life, it's all a trade-off. Haven't been to Montana yet; but definitely on our list to visit. Hopefully in the near future. We're only about 5 hours from each other!
Hello Helena you sure chose some lovely yarn I love Hobbii yarns I just finished a shawl from one of their cookie cakes I think the fuzzy yarn would make a beautiful scarf or two
HI! I was thinking the same for that fuzzy yarn. Less likely to pill, vs. a garment. I'll have to check out their Cookie Cakes. Sounds delicious already!!
Hi, very informative video,,, very pretty yarn, I haven’t ordered yarn from them yet but have been looking 🤷♀️🤷♀️you know me love me some cotton… I would use the two together,, as far as the fuzzy yarn no way would I use it so no ideas, you’ll make something great..❤️🌻
Hi! I forgot to mention that cotton comes in various gauges; but you probably know that anyway, from browsing their site! Every time I look at that fuzzy yarn, I shake my head. 🤦🏻♀️ I do have a few ideas, including either donating or putting it in my eBay shop! 😂
I was so looking forward to have the wooden yarn "holdrrs" but none of mine had them. The yarn is really thin (sizing is not the same for USA) but I will still use it. Colors are off compaired to what I thought I ordered too
I hope whatever you create will be beautiful and make you very happy. The majority of what I got is still napping in a drawer! I pulled out that fuzzy yarn the other day. Thinking of putting two strands together for a gradient shawl. That, or listing it in my Etsy shop! 😅
@@cabinfevercrochet I'm just getting in to crocheting with fine yarn. I hope I stay calm while using it🤗 I just placed an order ftom Stenli and see that maybe I misspoke about the wooden holders being from Hobbii😬 My neice's husband asked me to crichet him a Wakanda black panther sweater, so have been researching the "graph" crochet or whatever it's called. Will start that this weekend. I will check out your Etsy!
@@marianeculek3261 You'll do just fine! How wonderful, thank you!! I like that bamboo yarn a lot, and am pretty sure I'd be okay with a truckload of it, in every color!! 😃
